1 Guidelines for Adamantius (revised form, may 2016) Each author, after the peer review process, is required 1) to send the contribution in both doc format and pdf format, taking care to adapt the text to the editorial guidelines (see below); 2) to give the abstract of his contribution in English language; 3) to give a list of at least five key-words; 4) to give his institutional affiliation with address. I. Fonts and characters Italics are to be used in the following situations: 1) titles (works, articles, miscellaneous volumes, etc.); 2) Latin expressions (lectio difficilior, scil., ibid., etc.); 3) quotations from Latin texts (alternatively you can use the quotation marks, without italics); 4) words not belonging to your language; 5) Latin references to manuscripts (es. Vaticanus, Sinaiticus). Bold is to be used only for sigla of manuscripts and papyri, when deemed useful. Small caps with capital initial are to be used for modern authors. Fonts must be Unicode. Quotations and puctuation: In the case of quotation of texts, the following characters are to be used:. In the case of a quotation occurring within another quotation, please, use:. For long quotations, please give them a deeper indent as a block quotation: please use a reduced font size and an augmented left margin, isolating the quotation from the body of your text with vertical spaces before and after the quotation. In this case are not to be used. The number referring to a note must precede punctuation. To indicate a particular meaning of a word (emphasis), use:. II. Reference to literature Include the following information for bibliographical references: (monograph) 1. name of author(s) responsible for writing the book in small caps and capital initial 2. full title (italic) 3 when necessary, series title (if any) and volume number (if any) between parentheses: this use is mandatory when quoting editions of texts. You may refer to ancient authors and texts according to two systems: 1) you mention the name of the author, put semicolon, and mention the title of the work in italic, either in your language or in Latin (Theodoret, History of the Church II 3,4 OR Theodoretus, Historia ecclesiastica II 3,4) 2) You may abbreviate the names of authors and titles of works according to the following systems, but pay attention to the fact that the first abbreviated word of the title should begin with a capital (Apol. adv.
