1 Subj: William Hall II Revolutionary War Pension Application (Transcribed) Date: Monday, March 6, :15:01 PM From: bcc: HHallChem Dear Halls. Cousin Jesse F. Hall kindly sent me photocopies of William H's Rev. War Pension Application, along with his transcription of much of it and his analysis of information it contains. William II is the brother of my ancestor Anthony, son of William I and Hannah Richardson. I think it is interesting that William was 95 years old when he applied for the pension from Monroe Co. Ohio. He was then living with his son Wm. Ill, and one witness to his character said that Wm. II attended the "regular Baptist Church." I have lifted this pension information from William H's PAF notes, entered today, for your perusal. William said in his testimony that he had no documentation for his claims, so I think it would be wasted time to hope there is anything else in his pension packet. Bill Hall-note that a Henry Hall of Preston Co. VA is one of Wm.'s witnesses. Enjoy! Sherlene B PENSION APPLICATION AT AGE 95 FROM WASHINGTON TWP., MONROE COUNTY, (AND WOODSFIELD CO.) OHIO, WHILE ATTENDING BAPTIST CHURCH AND LIVING WITH SON WILLIAM: Jesse F. Hall sent shb, Feb 2000, a photocopy of William ll's original pension application, along with his transcription and an analysis. I (Sherlene Hall Bartholomew) have gone over the photocopy, made a few changes more true to the initial spelling, punctuation, and include Mr. Hall's analysis, as follows: 3/6/0 America Online : HHallChem Page 1
