9 NMI Convention 2018 "Disturb Us Lore/" (June 11 after lt1ncb) Open Doors Before you know it, our District N1\1I Convention will be here. As part of the convention this year, your council is asking that you design a door that expresses how your local church is 'opening doors' in your community, nation, and the world. Each church is asked to bring one door that can stand on its own, as it will be placed in either the exhibit hall or on the convention floor. A four-year partnership between the Kentucky District NMI and the East Africa Region o Develop programs and partnerships to expand the gospel of Christ across the Kentucky District, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Creative Access Area's 5,6, & 7 in anyway the Holy Spirit leads. Open Doors o Creative Access Area #5 (Provide drinking water to a village) o Creative Access Area #5,6, & 7 (To equip camel-herding evangelistic team) o Creative Access Area# 5 (An income generating project for 4 Nazarene widows and their minor children) o Ethiopia (Motorcycles for Nazarene District Superintendents) o Ethiopia (Discipleship training programs for 10 Districts) o Ethiopia (Helping Hands, by helping churches, and pastors with special needs) o Tanzania (Construction materials to build a Training Center) Missions Academy o To train and equip local pastors and missional leaders in developing and strengthening a missional mindset through missional trainings, mission trips, teachings, and through exchange of resources. Festival of Arts: East Africa o To encourage creative artists to work for excellence in their media of choice, to be compensated for their work, and to encourage a prayerful-missional partnership between the artist and the Kentucky District. \ivork & witness o To participate in Work & Witness trips on each other's districts and region.
12 Delegates for District NMI Convention ASS EMBLY YEAR Send this report immediately after your election to Membership of the district NMI convention: (see NMI Constitution, article VI, section 3.A.3.) 1. Ex officio members of the convention shall be the district NMI council, district superintendent, all assigned ministers and full-time salaried associate ministers of local churches; lay members of the district advisory board; the local NMI presidents of the assembly year just ending and newly elected NMI presidents or newly elected vice presidents if the newly elected president cannot attend; global NMI council member; retired assigned ministers; retired missionaries; missionaries on home assignment; and missionary appointees; and any former district presidents who retain their membership on the district. 2. Elected delegates from each local church or church-type missions shall be NMI members (15 years of age or older). The number of maximum elected delegates shall be based on the following formula: two delegates from each local NMI of 25 members or fewer, and one additional delegate for each additional 25 members or major portion thereof. Membership shall be based on the NMI membership reported at the local NMI annual meeting when elections take place.
