With station and wealth and rank for a goal, Much thought for the body, but none for the soul, I had sworn to win in life s mad race Till I met my Master face to face. I had built my castles and reared them high, Till their domes had touched the blue of the sky; I had sworn to rule with an iron mace, Till I met my Master face to face. I met Him and knew Him, and blushed to see His eyes full of love were fixed upon me; And I faltered and fell at His feet that day, And my castles melted and vanished away; Melted and vanished, and in their place, I saw naught else but my Master s face. My thought is now for the souls of men; I have lost my life to find it again, Ever since that day in a quiet place, I met my Master face to face.

The people cheered, but some of them cried, We do not quite understand What changed its worth? The man replied, The touch of the master s hand. And many a man with life out of tune, And battered and torn with sin, Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd, Much like the old violin. A mess of pottage, a glass of wine, A game and he travels on; He s going once, and going twice, He s going and almost gone! (Mat 9:2) And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. (Mat 14:27) Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. (Mar 6:50) For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid. (Joh 16:33) In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (Act 23:11) And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome. (Act 27:24) Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee. (2Ch 20:20) Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
