Sent to Camp Perry, Ohio for instructions in fire-arms, and assigned to Croup 32, Small-arms Firing School. Returned to Camp Dix August 20th, 1918 and assigned to Co. 1, 807th Pioneer Infantry, with which he sailed for France on Sept 2nd Died Dec 20th 1918 fin France) as a result of an operation for appendicitus.
