3 Prophecies of Things to Come The first six chapters of Daniel outlined the succession of world empires from Babylon to the Second Coming of Christ. The last six chapters are an apocalyptical (prophetic revelation) view of things to come. [54] Daniel chapter 7 begins the prophecies of things to come from Daniel s perspective. 3

5 Daniel's Dream Of Four Beasts We now move ahead to another Babylonian king, Belshazzar in 553 BC. DAN 7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters. 2 Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. 5

6 Daniel's Dream Of Four Beasts 3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. 4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it. 6

7 Four Winds When looked at from the perspective of Revelation 7:1, the four winds represent the "principalities" or the four demonic angels who rule over the four nations, described in Daniel chapter 2, that would hold world power. [93] 7

8 Four Winds The great sea, from the perspective of Daniel and Revelation, would have been the Mediterranean. The prophetic scene is shifting from Babylon to the nations of the Mediterranean. The Mediterranean would in short order become little more than a Roman lake. [93] 8

9 Four Winds The usual prophetic boundaries in Scripture are from Armenia in the north to Ethiopia in the south, and from China in the east to Tarshish in the west. Other lands outside these boundaries are largely ignored. [93] As a result of the striving of the four demonic angels (winds), beast kingdoms (or world powers) would come up from the sea, that is the nations surrounding the 9 Mediterranean. [93]

10 The Kingdoms According to the angelic interpretation beginning in Daniel 7:15 these four beasts represent kings. (Daniel 7:17) "Kings" in Daniel means kingdoms, a succession of kingdoms, or individual kings, depending on the context. [14] There would be a succession of four kingdoms before a fifth, the Messianic kingdom possessed by the saints of God, would arrive (Daniel 7:18). [93] 10

11 The First Beast Babylon The first beast was the Babylonian Empire. The national symbol of Babylon was the winged lion. [61] Jeremiah speaks of Babylon as the lion. JER 4:7 The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an 11 inhabitant.

12 The First Beast Babylon The regal lion speaks of sovereignty and supremacy. The eagle's wings depict Nebuchadnezzar's swift conquests. In a series of swift campaigns Nebuchadnezzar had conquered all of Syria and Palestine, humbled Egypt, and conquered Tyre. [93] 12

13 The First Beast Babylon In Daniel 7:4, the plucking of the wings indicates Nebuchadnezzar's insanity and conversion. Being made to stand as a man with a man's heart shows that he was no more a beast. [93] 13

14 The Second Beast Medo-Persia Daniel continues the prophecy with the second beast: DAN 7:5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. 14

15 The Second Beast Medo-Persia The second beast represented the MedoPersian Empire. It was slow and ponderous as depicted by the bear, with none of the swiftness in conquest of Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon. Its successes were by strength and force. [93] 15

16 The Second Beast Medo-Persia The three ribs in its mouth were the initial conquests of the Medo-Persian alliance, Lydia, Babylon, and Egypt. Devouring much flesh was characteristic of its method of waging war. It only engaged when it had sufficient overwhelming force to crush its opponents. [93] 16

17 The Second Beast Medo-Persia Darius had used nearly 750,000 men and 600 ships against Scythia. 138 >Scythians] [ A later king, Xerxes, would use 2-1/2 million men against Greece. [93] And still later, the Empire's final king would fight battles with troops numbering a half-million to one million men. [61] 17

18 The Second Beast Medo-Persia It raised up itself on one side. One side of this bear proved dominant. The Persians eventually swallowed the Medes, who became part of the Persian Empire. [93] 18

19 The Third Beast Greece Daniel next sees a third empire: DAN 7:6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. 19

20 The Third Beast Greece The grace, speed, and ferocity of the leopard, with the speed accentuated by the four wings depicted perfectly the swift conquests of the known world, including Persia, by the Greek, Alexander the Great. [61; 93] Alexander died a drunkard at the zenith of his accomplishments, at age 32, with no more worlds to conquer. [61] 20

21 The Third Beast Greece Alexander s Empire was divided among his four generals, as depicted by the four heads of the leopard. Cassander took Macedon and Greece; Lysimachus (Ly-si-ma-chus) took Asia Minor and Thrace; Seleucus took Syria and Upper Asia, Babylon, and the East; and Ptolemy took Egypt, Palestine, and Arabia. [93] 21

22 The Third Beast Greece Palestine eventually became an area of contention to the heirs of Seleucus and Ptolemy, and these two divisions of Alexander's Empire became the subjects of additional prophecy in Daniel chapters 8 and 11. [93] 22

23 The Fourth Beast Rome Daniel finally saw a fourth beast: DAN 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. 23

24 The Fourth Beast Rome Remember in Nebuchadnezzar's dream (Daniel chapter 2) that his image of the legs of iron depicted the Roman Empire. The iron teeth of this image (Daniel 7:7) indicated the great strength of the beast to devour and break in pieces. [93] 24

25 The Fourth Beast Rome By conquest, The Roman Empire would eventually extend from the British Isles, through Europe and northern Africa, to the Middle East, and bounded by the Euphrates River. Rome ruled with a savage iron fist, installing its paganism, laws, and institutions. [93] 25

26 The Fourth Beast Rome Rome would crucify the Son of God, and ruthlessly persecute and martyr, through ten Caesar's from Nero to Diocletian, the early church of Jesus Christ. [93] If our early brothers and sisters were to suffer so and die for their faith, who are we to complain if tribulation should befall us? We have a far better promise than this earthly realm. 26

28 Revived Rome The "ten horns" on the fourth beast of Daniel 7:7 represented the same as the "ten toes" of Nebuchadnezzar's image. It would be the end-time revival of this Roman Empire in a new form. "Horns" in Scripture are symbols of power. [93] 28

29 Revived Rome Revelation chapter 17 speaks of the same thing. REV 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 29

30 New World Order 30

31 New World Order DAN 7:22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. 23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. The fourth empire will cover the whole earth 31

32 New World Order We are today on the verge of a new world order. It is possible that the United Nations is positioned to be the framework of world government once the various pieces are arranged. All other empires, including the old Roman Empire, never conquered the whole earth, even though they tried. The revived Roman Empire will succeed where the others have failed. 32

33 New World Order Our leaders speak of global this and global that. We are being prepared to be global citizens. It may be that the United Nations will ultimately give way to another forum once the reorganizing efforts of the nations are complete. One thing is sure; we will have world government with the attendant loss of individual national sovereignty. 33

34 New World Order The political, religious, social, and educational establishments are feverishly working toward that end. The final control will be economic. 34

35 New World Order People will do most anything for food, including accepting a "mark" in their hand or forehead. Rev 13:16 And he causeth all to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 35

36 Humpty Dumpty 36

37 Humpty Dumpty Humpty Dumpty had a great fall On 25 March 1957, The Treaty of Rome began the modern reconstruction of the old Roman Empire. [93] An old nursery rhyme depicted an egg called Humpty Dumpty that had fallen and broken into pieces. That nursery rhyme referred to the fall of the Roman Empire and the fact that it couldn't be put back together. For the first time since that fall, men are succeeding in assembling Humpty Dumpty 37 again.

38 Humpty Dumpty The European Economic Community was born which would create a European Parliament in 1979, and culminates during the early 1990s in the European Union, transcending the sovereignty of those nation-states assembled. [93] But there is more to the prophecy of Revelation 17 found in Daniel 7: DAN 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a 38 mouth speaking great things.

39 The Unholy Trinity 39

40 The Unholy Trinity The "little horn" of Daniel 7:8 is the Antichrist. [30] The "little horn" is identified with Satan. In Revelation, Satan gives power to the Antichrist (the beast). Together with the false prophet (another beast), the Antichrist and Satan form an unholy trinity. [14] We see this in Revelation chapter 13. REV 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? (Continued) 40

41 The Unholy Trinity 11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. The Antichrist's because: power will be supernatural 2TH 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and 41 lying wonders,

42 The Little Horn The Little Horn (Antichrist) will persecute the saints forty-two months. [14] REV 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 42

43 Peace and Safety The appearance of the Antichrist signifies the beginning of the Great Tribulation before the return of Christ. [30] This man is going to appear to have all the answers to the world's troubles. He will bring "peace and safety, then sudden destruction." 1TH 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 43

44 Peace and Safety The Antichrist will bring "peace and safety." He will also prosperity. bring unprecedented Antichrist will produce a world prosperity that will make our conception of the millennium seem like a depression. [14] But, the Antichrist's system will be destroyed. 44

45 The Revived Roman Empire DAN 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. The Antichrist will arise out of the ten kingdoms. The phrase, "He shall subdue three kings" (Daniel 7:24) indicates that he will deal with three obstructionist kingdoms by striking them down and removing their kings, after which he will assume control of the ten kingdoms. [93] 45

46 The Revived Roman Empire Many people assume that these ten kingdoms are part of the European Community within the boundaries of the old Roman Empire; however, the Club of Rome has proposed dividing the world itself into ten regions, each of which would need a leader or some sort of government head. 46

49 The Revived Roman Empire These regions represent 10 political regions. In addition to the political regions, 7 economic regions are planned that generally conform to the same regional areas as shown we will see more of these economic regions in another lesson. 49

50 The Revived Roman Empire [101] We already know of the reality of the European Union (EU) indicated as region 2 on the map, with its common currency, the EURO. What is not so well known are the efforts to bring about a North American Union (NAU) with open borders, unifying Canada, Mexico, and the United States, including a common currency, the AMERO. The NAU is indicated generally as region 1 on the map, but incorporates Mexico in what is 50 initially an economic scheme.

51 The Revived Roman Empire Don t forget that the EU was initially an economic scheme that later became a political region. The European Common Market (EC) began as a free trade agreement and later evolved into a political union. The genesis of the European Union is similar to our own North American Free 51 Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

52 The Revived Roman Empire [146] Through the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the U.S. joined with Mexico and Canada in an embryonic political and economic union. CAFTA is the next stage in the plot to integrate the hemisphere. 52

54 The Revived Roman Empire CAFTA, a forerunner of an EU of the Americas, trades away American jobs in the name of rewarding Latin American democracies. [146] 54

56 Equalize Currency The goal in the Americas is that all currency is to achieve parity before establishing the AMERO. In order to accomplish this the various national economies need to be equalized, through unequal trade agreements such as NAFTA/CAFTA. The Japanese and American/European economies must be lowered, or crashed to equalize with the least affluent economies. The standard of living in all nations must be equalized in order to meld the nations into a super-state (New World Order; One-World 56 Government).

57 The Revived Roman Empire Other regions of this 10 region plan include the already established African Union (AU), region 8 on the map. Even though you may have not heard of it, this is indeed the plan of the globalists world planners, including those within our own government. Check this out. 57

59 The Revived Roman Empire World government is ultimately the goal when, at last, all regions of the world are unified. Their efforts will eventually be judged. 59

61 Judgment DAN 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit. 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. 61

62 Judgment The statement in Daniel 7:9, "the thrones were cast down," is better understood as "thrones were set up, or placed." The meaning indicates that the throne room was being prepared for the judgment of the beast, and others would be present to sit on these thrones. These "others" are associated with administering God's judgments. [6 >Daniel; 14] 62

63 Judgment [6 >Rev 20:4] The throne room is described in Revelation 20. REV 20: 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them. Notice that thrones is plural and they that would judge sat on them. 63

64 Judgment Who are the they that will sit on the thrones to Judge? MAT 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 1 CO 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? 64

65 Judgment of Satan & Antichrist Verse 11 of Daniel 7 says that the beast, as well as the "little horn [the Antichrist and his empire] would be judged and cast into the lake of fire. [6 >Dan 7:11; 93] DAN 7:11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. This will take place at Christ s Second 65 Coming as seen in Revelation 19.

66 Judgment of Satan & Antichrist Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse [Christ at Second Coming], and against his army. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 66

67 Judgment of Satan & Antichrist Notice that Satan will go to the same place after the Millennium. Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 67

68 The Rest of the Beasts Daniel then speaks of the rest of the beasts. DAN 7:12 As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. The first three kingdoms (Babylon, MedoPersia, and Greece) lost their right to ever rule again. [30] 68

69 The Rest of the Beasts It may be that since each succeeding empire had absorbed the preceding, the fourth represented a continuation of all the others. It may mean that the Revived Roman Empire will incorporate the features of the others. [14; 93] These visions make it clear that there will be four Gentile empires during the "Times of the Gentiles" before the establishment of the Messianic kingdom. These Gentile kingdoms would be 69 lengthened for an indefinite period of time. [93]

71 The Messianic Kingdom Interestingly, in Daniel s very next verses we see the establishment of the everlasting Messianic kingdom set up when One like the Son of Man comes in the clouds. DAN 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. (Continued) 71

72 The Messianic Kingdom 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. 72

73 The Messianic Kingdom Jesus used the same words to describe Himself. MAT 26:63 the high priest answered and said unto him tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God. 64 Jesus saith unto him Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. 73

74 The Messianic Kingdom Jesus' called Himself "the Son of Man," and this response referred the high priest back to Daniel 7:13 and 14. [93] Daniel 7:13 and 14 are a condensation of the book of Revelation from Revelation chapter 5 through chapter 22. [14] 74

75 The Messianic Kingdom The dominion Christ received was that which passed from Adam to Satan at Adam's fall. It has now been regained at Christ's victory over Satan on the cross, and will be recovered at Christ s Second Coming. It only remains for Jesus to return and reign in his millennial Kingdom to complete God's plan of redemption. 75
