2 Spirits in Prison I Peter 3:18-21 v18 - For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: v19 - By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; v20 - Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. v21 - The like figure whereunto [even] baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: Jesus did not go to hell soul not left in hell Acts 2:27-31 v27 - Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. v28 - Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. v29 - Men [and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. v30 - Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; v31 - He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. (Kings of the earth) shall be shut up in prison Isaiah 24:22 v22 - And they shall be gathered together, [as] prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited. *Sit in darkness out of prison house Isaiah 42:1, 6, 7, 16, 17, 22 v1 - Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. v6 - I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; v7 - To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. v16 - And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. v17 - They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods. v22 - But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore. *Opening of the prison Isaiah 61:1 v1 - The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the 3

4 brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; Let the sighing of the prisoners come before thee Psalm 79:11 v11 - Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die; Hear the groaning of the prisoners Psalm 102:20 v20 - To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death; The Lord despiseth not his prisoners Psalm 69:33 v33 - For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners. The Lord looseth the prisoners Psalm 146:7 v7 - Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners: Bow down under the prisoners Isaiah 10:1-4 v1 - Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; v2 - To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless! v3 - And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory? 4

5 v4 - Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. v22 - Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders. Habakkuk 2:14 v14 - For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Zechariah 9:10 v10 - And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth. 5
