Sdly for Christ Church, Mry Phyllis Mrgret Brrett 30th December nd Jnury 2016 It ws with gret sdness tht we sid goodbye to Phyllis on Jnury 20th t service here t Christ Church where we remembered nd celebrted her life. Tributes from her fmily told us wht wonderful wife, mor, mor-in-lw nd grndmor she ws. After bringing up her fmily nd working decided to move to South Godstone in Unfortuntely fter mny ttendnces t locl churches ner to her new home she ws unble to find church where she felt t home. So she returned to Christ Church whenever possible, remining member Fridy Group throughout. She ttended both Church nd Fridy Group within weeks her deth. At long lst, more thn six months fter we pplied to Diocese for pprovl, we received fvourble decision from Chncellor. So we re now one step closer to breking ground. There re some technicl issues tht need to be worked through with regrd to coustic performnce building in reltion to neighbouring properties but we re working hrd to resolve m. She is held in such high renown nd her work commnds such high prices, tht we could never contemplte commissioning her now. So next time you kneel t ltr ril for communion, I recommend you look closely t ltr frontl.
