D I envy the families r pssessins f thers? D we try t prve we are better than thers by bragging r buying mre things? Am I greedy r selfish? D we cpe well with the prblems that cnfrnt us and maintain ur Christian hpe in spite f hard times and difficulties? Are material pssessins the purpse f my life? D we truly "seek first the Kingdm f Gd" in ur lives and place ur trust in Him? D we reflect the peace, hpe and jy f a peple redeemed and made hly by the Bld f Christ? HOW TO GO TO CO FESSIO 1. Yu always have the ptin t g t cnfessin annymusly, that is, behind a screen r face t face, if yu s desire. 2. After the priest greets yu in the name f Christ, make the sign f the crss. He may chse t recite a reading frm Scripture, after which yu say: "Bless me Father fr I have sinned. It has been (state hw lng) since my last cnfessin. These are my sins."

5 3. Tell yur sins simply and hnestly t the priest. Yu might even want t discuss the circumstances and the rt causes f yur sins and ask the priest fr advice r directin. 4. Listen t the advice the priest gives yu and accept the penance frm him. Then make an Act f Cntritin fr yur sins. An Act f Cntritin O my Gd, I am heartily srry fr having ffended Thee, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the lss f heaven, and the pains f hell; but mst f all because they ffend Thee, my Gd, Wh are all gd and deserving f all my lve. I firmly reslve, with the help f Thy grace, t cnfess my sins, t d penance, and t amend my life. Amen. 5. The priest will then dismiss yu. If he says: "Give thanks t the Lrd fr He is gd. Yu respnd: "Fr His mercy endures frever." The priest will then cnclude with: "The Lrd has freed yu frm yur sins. G in peace." Yu respnd by saying: "Thanks be t Gd." 6.
