(If you include your name and address, the child may write back.) 4 From the International Mission Board: Thank you for leading your church to contribute generously to the 2011 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering (LMCO) for world missions. Your generous and faithful gifts provide the resources needed for our 4,919 missionaries (and their 4,000 children) to live, function and evangelize the unreached peoples of the earth. This past year, First Baptist Church Webb City family gave at a level we call the Cartersville Challenge which recognizes churches that gave between $25 and $49.99 per capita based on your reported average Sunday morning worship attendance. The 5,360 churches that met the Cartersville Challenge represent 12% of the 45,000 churches that compromise the Southern Baptist Convention. This group of churches gave over $33 million or 23% of the 2011 LMCO. This is a significant group of friends and we are very grateful for them. Why a Cartersville Challenge? Cartersville Baptist Church in Cartersville, GA is where Lottie Moon accepted God s call to take the Gospel to the Chinese people. It is the first milestone of her missionary life. The Cartersville Challenge is the first milestone level of missionary giving. Our immediate goal is to Embrace the last 3,400 unreached and unengaged people groups (UUPG) of the world. As far as our research allows us, these are peoples who have no known translated copy of the Bible and no known missionary presence of any kind that is actively embracing them. Will you join us by praying, giving, and even going to the ends of the earth to tell them about Jesus?
