3 FAMILY NOTES Marriage (abt 1859): When Lucy married John Nay Jr., they were living in Springville, Utah at the time. No record has been found. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple. HUSBAND NOTES: John NAY Jr. LDS Bapt (May 1842): Baptized by Eli P. Magnin (St. George Ward Records), Rebaptized 28 July, 1867, Pine Valley, Utah. Emigration (12 Oct 1852): John Nay and 8 others arrived in Great Salt Lake on 12 Oct 1852 in Allen Weeks company. Burial (3 Oct 1892): She and John Nay are buried next to each other on the corner of Central and Grand, #128-E, #128-F. General: Had twelve children.temple Ref Angelina Hale, his first wife, left John and their children. Even though no marriage date for the second wife can be located, we assume this happened sometime in Springville, and later John and Thankful Lucy went to St. George and were sealed in the St. George Temple. Pioneer Indexes, Washington County, Utah, , compiled by Wesley W. Craig and Roberta Blake Barnum, states: Nay, John; wife, Hale, Thirza Angelina; born 23 Feb 1814, Brandon, Rutland, VT, to Dixie in 1862 from Pine Valley, UT next line: Nay, John; Pine, Thankful Lucy, 4 Nov 1830; Stockholm, S.L., NY; to Dixie 1862; from Pine Valley, UT; Marriage date 1859 in Springville, UT. We know that the information about Thirza coming to Dixie is incorrect, and Dr. Craig and Mrs. Barnum cannot find the verification for this record. On the female Pioneer Index it states that Thankful Lucy came to Dixie in Dec 1861 from St. George, UT. WIFE NOTES: Lucy Thankful PINE Burial (31 Jul 1897): She and John Nay are buried next to each other on the corner of Central and Grand, #128-E, #128-F. Geraldine Pinner Nay related to Luella Faucett that "Uncle Tim and Aunt Flora used to own a cafe in Victorville, California, about 1925." It was located next to the Barrell House on the corner of 5th and D streets. Buried in Mt. View Cemetery on the corner of Waterman and Highland in San Bernardino, CA. Mark B. Shaw Co., was the funeral Director. First name spelling Alvond differs from the spelling on our family records, which is Ormun. Aunt Geraldine Pinner Nay, told me, Luella Faucett, that Uncle Tim and Aunt Flora used to own a cafe in Victorville, CA, about It was located next to the Barrell House, which was located on the corner of 5th and D Streets. CHILD NOTES: Elmer Carr NAY Census (1870): Pine Valley, Wash, UT 1870 Census listed age 3. CHILD NOTES: Samuel NAY General: Info from IGI Index, Family History Center, SLC UT. On one family group record prepared by Clifton Reu Nay, he names the child "Samuel." This is the only record we have of a child by this name. This may be the same child as "infant Nay," as listed in "O Ye Mountains High" by Bessie Snow, buried in Pine Valley Cemetary, Pine Valley, Utah. Birthdate of merged records stated abt I used the date on our family records from Clifton Reu NAY. LMKF. "O Ye Mountains High" by Bessie Snow states that unnamed "Infant" was born and died in Family conclusion is that Samuel is that same infant. Grave is in Pine Valley Cemetary, Pine Valley, Utah. 3
