Harrs and Mr. H. A. Carroll the Prze Wnners. On Saturday afternoon the annual Sop! one Prse Declamatons were held n llathnru Hall at two o'clock. The whole program was well up to the standard that has long been establshed thru the efforts of Professor Robnson and hs "I saw your father ths morn ng." The two whose work stood out a- berlg of a somewhat better grade tllu the others were Mss Helen Harrs of Carmel and Mr. Herbert Carroll of Cyrus, Mass. Altho comparsons are, as a rule, not very lkely to he apt, t seems that the work of Mr. Phlp Mason should receve a sort of honorable menton. Ilsuperb speech was delvered wth a dramatc force that was qute effectve. Mss Harrs' speech was taken from the works of Tarkngton, and reflected at every pont the keen, forceful man ter of that author. The part suted Mss Harrs very well, and no one else could have brought out more fnely the varous steps n the "Romance of a Rose."
