THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST & THE SEALING OF GOD Pastor Steven L. Shelley In John 3:7-8 Jesus is speaking to Nicodemus concerning the experience of regeneration and the necessity of the new birth: Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. John 3:7-8 Wind can cause a great stirring. The destructive forces of a tempestuous wind can come sweeping across land and sea in a hurricane leaving behind a path of destruction, bringing with it in its fierceness calamity and death. Wind can also embrace us in the gentleness of a breeze with a sweet sensation, bathing our flesh and causing us to rejoice with emotion. However, when the Bible speaks about the wind of God, it isn t necessarily speaking of something being stirred up by moving around or a wind blowing across the field causing the trees to bow. Neither is it speaking of the sensation of a warm gentle breeze upon our flesh, but 1 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

the wind of God is a deep visitation from the very breath of God, and traces back to the original word, Life. When God scooped up some dirt and fashioned it until He had made a man in His own image, He made him a perfect being. God Himself put His divine fingerprint upon Adam and created him in His image. His hands and feet were formed in the likeness of God s feet. He bore the resemblance of his Father. He was His son. His very existence was because of God. A great foundation was laid there in Eden that day. Here laid Adam, a son of God, straight from His fingertips, an absolutely perfect specimen of humanity, a man molded and fashioned by the hand of God Himself in His likeness, but that body was lifeless. Bone had come to bone, sinew covered the bone, his shoulders were strong, flesh had found its place, and skin covered it all. But he was empty, lifeless. An unfinished work. It was very important for that lifeless body to have an encounter with God and to receive His very Life in the natural. It wasn t until God drew close enough to him, leaned over, laid His mouth upon Adam s mouth, His nose to Adam s nose, and breathed His breath into Adam s lungs, that he received the very Life of God. And he became a living soul. What a resuscitation! God Himself imparted His Life into Adam. He received the very breath of God. 2 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

There are people everywhere who are no more than Adam laying in the Garden, an unfinished work. Empty people, people with no life in them. Mortal life is not enough. They need a resuscitation, but how is the Life of God imparted? What kind of a resuscitation can happen in us if God Himself is able to breathe His very Life into us! Many people have become great imitators of Christ. They look like Him, they dress the part, they talk the part, live a holy life because of knowledge, believe what they read, live by what they ve been taught, obey the Word to every letter and fulfill every requirement. You may live a godly life because you desire to imitate God. You can be made in the image of His Word. All that is wonderful and lovely, but unless we realize this is not about imitation or knowledge alone, but unless we receive the very breath of God by revelation, unless we have been kissed by the breath of God and received by revelation the Zoe Life of God into the depths of our spirit, we are no more than an empty body, a lifeless form. What good does it do us if all looks perfect, full of knowledge, yet we ve never tasted the breath and the wind of His Spirit by the baptism of the Holy Ghost to make us alive? You are not a perfected creature, you are not yet completely in His image. Although your hands may be like His hands, your feet may be like His feet, bone has come to bone, skin covering the flesh perfectly, 3 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 5 they re nothing but imitations because God s Life is not in them. If His breath, His Spirit is not dwelling within you, you are just an empty shell. The work of grace in our lives is progressive. JUSTIFICATION There are two words in Greek and Hebrew that speak of the breath of God. The Greek word pneuma means breath, or the breath of Life. The Hebrew word ruach speaks of the Wind of the Spirit. So if we to replace the word Spirit with the Greek word ruach in 1 Corinthians 2:14 & 10 in Greek, it would read as follows: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit (the breath) of God, for they are foolishness unto him. 1 Corinthians 2:14 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit (breath,) for the Spirit (breath) searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:14 Many people believe that we receive the Holy Spirit at conversion, and we don t need another experience. Upon careful examination we see that the Scripture distinguishes between receiving the Spirit of Jesus Christ into our lives when we first believe, and the baptism of the Holy 4 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 6 Ghost, which we cannot receive until we have first been sanctified (Acts 19). When we get truly saved, we go down on their knees and wait upon the Presence of the Lord in contrition and repentance, until we know beyond a shadow of doubt that our sins are forgiven by grace and we ve been washed in the Blood. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Romans 5:9-10 We ve been reconciled to God by the shedding of His blood, which is a type of death. But he said, We shall be saved, not by His death, but By His life. We re made candidates for salvation by His death. But we are saved by His life. What is going to save us is not going to be His death, it s going to be His life dwelling in us? The Bible clearly teaches us that we receive the Spirit of God when we get saved, but we need to continue to grow in grace, be sanctified and subsequently be filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Let me illustrate by filling a thimble full of water, and dropping that filled thimble into a full glass of water. That is the difference. When you have truly repented and the Spirit of God comes into you in a measure, His Spirit 5 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

lives in you. But the baptism of the Holy Ghost causes you to be immersed and submerged with God s Glory. Hence the term, The baptism of the Holy Ghost. In John 7:39, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:38-39 I have often thought He was speaking of the baptism of the Holy Ghost that was to come. However, if we examine this verse carefully, we ll find out He was speaking about when we first believe and invite Jesus into our heart, His Spirit comes into our lives to lead us, to guide us into all Truth. He was not speaking of the Holy Ghost baptism, which is a separate experience altogether. SANCTIFICATION Once we believe on Jesus and repented of our sins, we receive the Spirit of Jesus inside of us in portion, and the work of grace continues and progresses in our lives. What was instantaneous in the beginning when we first believed, progresses as we continuously surrender our wills to the Lord, we read His Word and allow God to continue to put more 6 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 8 conviction in our lives. As we allow the Holy Ghost to sanctify and clean us up, we turn loose of the things of the world. BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST We do not receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost until we have been sanctified. You may get stammering lips, you may speak in tongues, but the real baptism of the Holy Ghost and Fire does not come into a vessel that is not set apart and sanctified. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:1-4 First there came a mighty rushing wind. Then it appeared unto them cloven tongues of fire. Then came another wave of His Spirit and that wave brought stimulation and caused them to stagger around like drunk men. Surely they weren t standing there with their hands folded in reverent, ecclesiastical prayer. They must have been reeling and rocking, staggering and jabbering to have caused people to say, They look as 7 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

though they re drunk. First came the wind. Then came the Fire. Then came the Wine, a type of stimulation that comes from Revelation. God can send His Spirit over us like a wind, and it is refreshing and feels good, but that is not enough. There has to come Fire, a type of the refining power of God to burn out the chaff and sin and dross in our lives. But oh, it wasn t long after the wind blew and the Fire fell that there came another manifestation that caused men and women to stagger as drunk men, as the new Wine of God was being poured out, as was prophesied by the prophet Joel. The wind blew, but that didn t make them act drunk. The Fire fell, and that didn t make them drunk either. But when the Wine of God began to be manifest among them, God began to show forth a sign that caused everyone to say, how is it that...? SEALING OF THE HOLY GHOST The Message is the Revelation of Jesus Christ. That Revelation is so wonderful that God will continue to unfold Himself throughout all eternity. How many of you know that even when we stand in that City, God will still be unfolding Himself? We have always known that the Spirit of God was dwelling in us by the baptism of the Holy Ghost. But there is now coming another Wave of Glory, in which the sons of God are 8 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

going to be manifested and come to maturity, a time of spiritual adoption. It will be a time in which people will be so filled with the character and attributes of Jesus Christ, they will go forth in a quick, short work and reap the final harvest of souls. And then go out of here in a blaze of Glory in a resurrection, where the dead in Christ shall rise first. And then we which remain, will be changed and caught up. I understand this morning that it comes in waves. It comes in waves. Revelation comes in waves. The Power of God comes in waves. Hallelujah. Somebody said, What do you mean? Well, I don t want to tell you right now. I ll tell you in a minute. But I ll tell you this much. It means that you don t receive it all, you don t see it all, you don t get it all, you don t experience it all at one time. Where have we made a mistake? Where has the church world made a mistake? When they got justification and they got salvation, the Baptists said they received the Holy Spirit, they got it all. When the Wesleyan people experienced the sanctifying power of God, which later became the Methodist Church, they said, We ve been filled with the Spirit. Now that we re sanctified, we ve got it all. 9 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

And what did the Azuza Pentecostals do? They received a Third Blessing. They began to speak in other tongues, receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost. And what did they say? We ve got it all. What I want you to know, that all of God doesn t come in on the first wave. And all of God doesn t come in on the second wave. And all of God doesn t come in on the third wave, because God is limitless. How are you ever going to reach the end of His Power? How are you ever going to reach the end of His ability? How are you ever going to experience all that God has for you to experience, when He never ends? And that s why we heard Brother Branham say, and I appreciate this. I mention it all the time. But I appreciate it so very much. He said that, Even in eternity, God will still be revealing and unfolding Himself. Why? Because God comes in waves. If you don t understand that terminology, then understand you can call it this. Seasons. If you don t understand that terminology, understand this. Appointed times. If you re looking for a biblical term, let me give it to you. A Day of Visitation. Oh, children of God, the Bible said, Be careful that you don t miss your Day of Visitation. The Season of Moving, the season of stirring. I want you to see the tragedy. (Don t try to get ahead of me. You re not preaching, I am.) I want you to see the tragedy of what have happened to the children of Israel if they would have missed one time that the Pillar of 10 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 12 Fire moved on? There is something more than just the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues. As the hours of mercy for the Gentiles are closing, God makes up and seals His Gentile Bride with the reserved portion of the Holy Ghost that has been saved for this very hour. That sealing will not come upon our flesh and cause us to shout louder or run any faster, it won t cause us to speak in tongues with any more greatness of language and vocabulary, won t cause us to prophesy more. THAT SEALING OF THE HOLY GHOST COMES TO SEAL THE GENTILE BRIDE The difference it will make will not be seen on our outward form, but He ll be dealing with the inward and seal us by that reserved portion. We are already tasting the beginning. When our lives are sealed, our life will start manifesting it. That sealing cannot come until we have a full understanding of the character and attributes of Jesus Christ, but we ve got to be able to duplicate and manifest and express and display it the same way Jesus did. The jewels His Bride will wear are the characteristics of God and the attributes of Himself. She ll wear His character on her fingers, and she is going to be decorated with His Glory. She s going to smell with His perfume, and she s coming forth in His Image, His Likeness, in the character of Jesus 11 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

Christ. That is why she is going to deserve the title given to her. Mrs. Jesus Christ. There is something precious inside of me that doesn t need to be contaminated and be influenced by all the outside influences of this life. It will produce rapturing faith in us and cause us to step into the character of God. We cannot receive this sealing until first we have received the genuine baptism of the Holy Ghost. People have confused the baptism of the Holy Ghost genuine with the Sealing of the Holy Ghost for the Endtime. They just put it all together. There are quotes that clearly distinguish between the two experiences. Many people are trying to come into the Seal of God not having received the Spirit of God by baptism. God is perfecting a Bride in this last day, and she ll be able to withstand the fiery darts of the devil. The Bride of Jesus Christ is called forth from the church. Somebody said, I don t know, if biblically, there is anything beyond that. Well, I want to tell you, I don t know what Bible slant you read. But the King James version of the Bible tells me that there is something beyond just talking in tongues. I want you to know, that s why the Pentecostal world is in so much trouble today. Because they started talking in 12 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

tongues and thought they had all of God they needed. And that s why anybody can talk in tongues. Amen. That s why the church world is in such a terrible condition today, is because they get people in the altar and they get them talking in tongues, and they convince them they ve got the Holy Ghost. But I want you to know, there is a greater evidence. I didn t say, speaking in tongues wasn t an evidence. It s an evidence. And I believe, everybody who receives the baptism of the Holy Ghost at some time or another is going to speak in tongues. I believe that. If you haven t, you ought to lay in the Spirit until you do. I believe you have got the right. But I want you to know, there is a greater evidence than that. And that greater evidence is a life that says amen to every Word of God. I didn t say a tongue that says amen. I didn t say a voice that says amen. I didn t, Say amen by where you go to church. But I said, The greater evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost is a surrendered life that says amen to every Word of God. Somebody said, You can t do that. You may not be able to do it in unregenerated state, but once you taste regeneration, I want you to know, you can live according to God s commandments. I m not talking about the law of Moses, I m talking about the Covenant of Grace. 13 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

But the King James version of the Bible tells me that there is something beyond just talking in tongues. I want you to know, that s why the Pentecostal world is in so much trouble today. Not a tongue or a voice that says amen. The greater evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost is a surrendered life that says amen to every Word of God. Once you taste regeneration, you ll be able to live according to God s commandments, the covenant of grace. God desires to do great things in this hour. The foundation has been laid and God desires we build a house for Him to dwell in. Not just a foundation, but a house has to have some walls, it has to have some root on 14 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

top, it has to be closed in. He desires to add His character, His attributes, all that He has, all that He is, He desires to add to our lives. When we re building the house of Jesus to live in, it takes more than just one attribute. It takes all of His attributes and characters. It is not absolutely not enough to have everything in line on the inside unless you are willing to let God come and breathe His breath into you. It s not until that moment that you become a living soul. You are only potentially saved until you receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. The baptism of the Holy Ghost is the Life of God. You don t have eternal life until you have God s Life dwelling in you. I am fearful in my flesh that if we re not careful, we are going to misunderstand a sensation. If we re not careful, we are going to misunderstand an experience, a feeling, and we re going to assume by what we feel and we ve experienced, that we have had the new birth, and that the life of God is dwelling within us. Many denominational system has misunderstood God. They believe because they ve had some feeling, some emotion, some kind of quickening, they have received the breath of God. The breath of God is more than a sensation, it is more than a feeling, more than an emotion, more than a tingle on the flesh. When the breath of God comes into your life, it possesses you, it takes control and authority over us, so we don t do our own will, we don t think our own 15 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 17 thoughts, we don t move in our own desires, but we think the thoughts of Christ, we move in His will. When the real baptism of the Holy Ghost comes, it will go down beyond the flesh, down into the inside of the inside, and your very soul has been arrested by God s Spirit, and you desired to be obedient to God s Word; you want to live every day in the pages of His Word. If we don t experience that, we are no more than Adam laying there with a perfect body, but nothing but an empty shell. That is the condition of many people today. They look like Christians, often act like Christians, but often they have come this far by knowledge, but what we need is revelation. Hearing God s Word brings knowledge, but Revelation comes by the inspiration of the Spirit of God. Revelation comes like a stimulant. It stimulates you. The Spirit so inspires you, so that God s Word can be revealed to you. When revelation comes, it brings stimulation. Not just a stimulation to quiver or shake, it s a stimulation to stand up and live by God s Word. Brother, sister, let me ask you this question. There are people who claim to have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, yet it s a great mystery to me how they re fooling around, sinning and doing all kinds of things, yet claim the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It brings me to the conclusion, they may have had a touch, a tingle, a sensation You may have been in 16 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

the Presence of God, you may have had a touch, a tingle, a sensation, but it is now manifesting time. The Bride of Jesus Christ is going to manifest who she really is. Those who have received the Holy Spirit on their flesh are going to manifest that is the case by not. How will they manifest? In this time of testing, they re not going to be able to live by the Word. They didn t go far enough to let the very breath of God be breathed into them, so that they can take upon themselves His life. They ve settled for a feeling, for a sensation, for some kind of emotion. But when things are hard and the test is on, they re not finding enough strength and stability, they re not finding enough of His character in them so they can live that life according to His Word. It proves we haven t been in His Presence enough. Instead of criticizing them, oh, how we need to pray harder for them, encourage them to go deeper with God. My precious brother, sister. Have you received the Holy Ghost since you ve believed? Are you like Adam, laying there in the garden, an unfinished work? Without Life, empty? Why don t you let God draw close enough to you, to receive the very pneuma of God into you, come close enough into His Presence, so He is able just to impart eternal Life into you? 17 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

Then it will be more than knowledge, it will be a revelation to you. You need the breath of God to reveal God s Word in you. We need a revelation by the Spirit that we might receive understanding, and that we might manifest His Word. Revelation is more than understanding. Revelation is coming to the place that you can surrender and let God bring His Word to pass in your life. There was an adoption promised for the Endtime Bride, a manifestation of sonship. Little Messiahettes promised for this Endtime. If you wish to have that come to pass in your life, you need more than just understanding, you need to quit flopping around, fighting for life, flailing around trying to survive. Come to a quiet place with Him and let Him breathe His breath into your being. You need an encounter with God. Be still and let God breathe His breath into you. Their Guide was not Moses. Moses was a mouthpiece for their Guide. Their Guide was the Shekinah Glory of the Lord that manifest itself in a Pillar of Fire by night, and a Pillar of Cloud by day. When you were sitting around, eating your dinner and you saw that Pillar of Fire removing itself from over the Ark of the Covenant, and moving ahead, it meant, Pack up, get the sheep and the chickens and get everything together. We ve got to go. Because God visits man in waves, in seasons, in dispensations, in church ages, He deals with us. 18 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

And I want you to know something. I want to repeat this, although we well know this. The Baptist faith got in trouble because they stopped at justification. And the Methodist faith got in trouble, because they stopped at sanctification. And the Pentecostal s faith, they got in trouble because they stopped at the speaking in tongues, at the baptism of the Holy Ghost. And you and I can get in trouble, if we stop at the Revelation of the Word, and don t go on to receive the reality in our own lives. How many of you know that would be a foolish expectation? You never, you ve got to hold on to that check because that check is valuable and it means something, and it stands for something, and it represents something. And what God has done in our day is beyond justification. It s beyond sanctification. It s beyond the baptism of the Holy Ghost. God has told us how we would come into perfection with Christ. God has told us how that we would have the Life of God dwelling in our fleshly bodies. God has told us how that we would be changed from carnality to spiritual, how we would be changed from mortality to immortality. God has told us how that we would have the restoration of the Spoken Word, and that we would even see a traveling as a thought. 19 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

He has told us that we would see the restoration of missing limbs, that we would see a ministry in the earth greater than the ministry of Jesus Christ in physical form. In spiritual form it is the ministry of Jesus Christ. In physical form it s not His original Body that He had, but it is His now? What kind of Body? His Corporate Body. It s still His ministry. And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit, and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:18-21 There s only one thing that s going to save people from the judgments of God, and that s calling on the Name of the Lord. But I want to just share quickly with you something the Lord brought to my mind on that mountain in North Carolina, when I was praying. And He took me to this verse. He said, See how it came in waves? First it came like a rushing wind. Then it came like a fire to sit on their heads. And then there came another wave. And when that last wave came in, it brought that stimulation that caused them to stagger around like drunk men. 20 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

It was not wine, as ye suppose, but it was new wine. New, Holy Ghost wine. Three manifestations. Three waves. Three seasons. Three times. Three appointed, chosen visitations in the same experience. First came the wind. Amen? Then came the Fire. Amen? Then came the Wine. Amen? In the Seventh Seal book we read in reference to the Scriptures and the first few chapters of the Book of the Revelation, there is one verse that says, See that you hurt not, or touch not the Oil and the Wine. Speaking of promised visitations from the Lord. The Oil, a type of the Spirit, and the Wine, a type of stimulation that comes from Revelation, he said. Has God ever revealed something to you, and it made you so excited and so ecstatic, that you realized you were acting almost out of character? How do drunk people act? OUT OF CHARACTER They tell me that sometimes people get to drinking and carrying on, and they, these college boys or whatever, and they ll put a goldfish in a glass of beer and drink the goldfish. I hope that s out of character. I hope that s not normal behavior. I hope I m not missing something. I m hope that they ve not learned some health secret that I m missing out on, the benefits of swallowing goldfish. I trust that that is just acting out of character. 21 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

They tell me, some people get drunk and they wear lampshades. They put lampshades on their heads for hats. And some tell me that little shy people would jump up on the table and dance, that normally would just... Seems like, they say, that all of your inhibitions (is this the right word?) all of your reservations, they just seem to be relaxed when you re under the influence of wine, or enough wine to make you drunk. You know, that new Wine, according to the Bible, is a potent wine, a powerful wine. God didn t do it all, it was all the same day, but God didn t do it all the same way. He did it all the same day, but He didn t do it all the same way. He manifested Himself first as a wind. Then as a Fire. And then he manifested Himself like Wine that made them stagger around. Brother. Somebody said, I didn t read that in the Bible. Let me tell you, they were doing something. I don t think they were standing there with their hands folded in reverent, ecclesiastical prayer, and people walked up and said that they acted drunk. They must have been reeling and rocking, and staggering and jabbering in some way, that caused people to say, They look like a bunch of drunks. Right? I m glad a few people have heard me this morning. They must have been doing something. It came in three waves. Wind, Fire and Wine. The Wind comes to blow across to prepare us for that 22 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

what s coming. What do you do when you start seeing the wind blow in the trees? On a day you start seeing the tops of the trees ready to begin to blow? What does it make you think is going to happen? Say it out, someone. Does it remind you that maybe a storm maybe brewing somewhere? When the trees begin to blow a little bit, the wind blows through us, preparing us. We take it, we see the wind and we start making preparation maybe to roll up our automobile windows because it appears that something may be brewing over there. That s not all that God can do, but He can send His Spirit to blow over us like a wind. But the wind on our face is refreshing and it feels good, but that s not enough. There had to come Fire. And the Fire was a type of the refining power of God to burn out the chaff and the sin and the dross that is in our lives. Wind and then Fire. But oh, it wasn t long. Because, as the wind blew and the Fire fell, there came another manifestation of the Spirit that caused men and women to stagger as drunk men, as the new Wine of God was being poured out, as was prophesied by the prophet Joel. Now, I m not telling you that the New Wine is just to make you jibber around and dance around, and fall around. I m not telling you that at all. I m telling that God was telling us that the Revelation that we needed was not coming just by wind. It wasn t just coming by Fire. But 23 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

it was coming by the Spirit as another wave as the Wine came. When the wind blew, that didn t make them act drunk. When the Fire fell, that didn t make them act drunk. But when the Wine of God began to be manifested among them, that s when they began to act drunk, and that s when God began to show forth a sign that caused everyone to say, How is it that they speak in languages that we understand, when all these men are Galileans? It s in that third wave, that third outpouring as we read about here. That doesn t mean God s only got three. This is just three concerning the baptism of the Holy Ghost, three emphasis, three gravitational words. We read things in the Bible for years, but God emphases them at different hours of visitation, and we re coming in to an hour of visitation where I believe we re going to receive. But this is the hour that, by the Holy Ghost, God wants to reveal to you the letter that s been sent to you house. How many of you are waiting? You ve seen the wind of God blow, you ve seen the Fire of God fall. You praise God for all the revelation that you have received, but you re waiting on greater Revelation and greater Understanding, and greater fulfillment in your life as an individual. And you know that it only comes by the Holy Ghost. 24 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

Hallelujah. Send the Holy Ghost, Lord. Like never before. We can t stop with just the wind. We can t stop with just the Fire. We want the Wine of the Holy Ghost to bring Revelation. Stand with me this morning. I did hold you too long. Breathe on us. The Wind of God is the Breath of God. The Wind that blew from the Upper Room was the Breath of God blowing in. The Fire that fell was the Fire of God falling to consume the sin and the chaff, and to get people ready. But it was the Revelation that brought the Wine, that brought the stimulation, because of the Revelation that God was putting in their heart. It was that that caused the Gospel to go forth to the four corners of the world. It ll be that way again in the last days, this last hour. When the Wine of the Holy Ghost has brought the stimulation, the Revelation, because Revelation brings stimulation. We are stimulated because we have received a Revelation. And a Revelation... This is not too complicated. A Revelation starts with inspiration. God sends an inspiration that brings a Revelation, that brings stimulation. And when something stimulates you, it makes you move. A stimulant is not something to put somebody down, it s to boost somebody up. It s to make you active, not inactive. Oh Lord, if stimulation in the Spirit will make people active, Lord, send a triple dose this morning because 25 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

I see some people that need to move. We need to move. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Hallelujah. He wasn t just talking to a people that think because momma is and daddy is, that they are. and sanctified holy and wholly sanctified and filled with the real, genuine, true baptism of the Holy Ghost and Fire. And when someone has reached that place, all there is for that man or woman is to move closer. There s nothing left but to move closer to the Lord. If you were to die right now... Just take people by the hand, If you were to die right now, would you be saved? And you know, that really made people think. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradven- 26 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 28 ture for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:1-8 And that s the promise that only the Bride has. Oh, that s too good to say tonight. Brother Branham said one time, Without the baptism of the Holy Ghost, you are only potentially saved. You know, that makes a lot of people angry, because it challenges a lot of peoples theology and philosophy. But what he was saying was, You cannot have eternal life until God has placed in you His life. The grace and the Blood of Jesus Christ has saved us; it has cleansed us; it has put us on the right direction. But every mystery that God has unveiled in this generation, every word, every revelation that God has brought, climbing Mount Zion, the loosing of the seals, whatever it is that you would think of right now, everything that God has spoken to this generation was to prepare you and I to be a vessel that the Life of God could dwell in. And that is why the apostle eventually said, We shall be saved by His life. Oh, let us live tonight and press on tonight and push on tonight until we reach that place that we know His Life has been placed within us. It is that Zoe. It is that eternal Life of God dwelling in us. And with that 27 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

we shall never die, but will be changed from this vile creature that we are now to His glorious image. Shout, Amen! Come on. We need that Life, that Life of God. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Romans 5:10 Let me tell you something. God is particular about where He puts His Life. You ve heard it said that He s particular about where He puts His Name, and you re right. He s very particular about where He puts His Name. But He s even more particular than that about where He puts His Life. Because where He puts His Life, that becomes eternal. You believe that? And we need that Life of God. That s why the prophet of God when he was teaching and drawing out that pyramid, he left that gap between the pyramid base and the capstone. And in that base he wrote the words Holy Ghost. You get all of this, but he said, There s still something between you and perfect love. And he wrote, The Holy Ghost. And I want you to know, he wasn t just talking about that experience that some of us have had in the Holy Ghost where it touched our flesh, or it might have even moved into our spirit, but he was talking about 28 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 30 that rubbed in experience with God, where the Spirit of the Lord penetrates this outward body. And it penetrates not only the spirit, but it goes right into the depth of the soul, that true baptism of the Holy Ghost where he said, The greatest... He said, One of the last mysteries that s going to be unveiled is the receiving of the Holy Ghost without sensation. That s thrown a lot of people off, because now they re preaching that you get the baptism of the Holy Ghost without sensation. I want you to know, that s not what he said. Every time the Spirit of God falls on your flesh, you re going to feel it. Every time the Spirit of God begins to move in your spirit, you re going to know it, and you re going to feel it. But one of these days, you re going beyond that experience and God is going to let His Life go right down to the inside of the inside. His Life is going to embrace your soul. And in that moment, the Bible said, You are sealed until the day of redemption. And when that sealing comes, it doesn t come with feeling. It comes with something greater than that. It comes with a knowing. Let me tell you something tonight. A feeling can deceive you. But a knowing, when God puts a knowing in your spirit... If you want me to use the word, know-so... That s what Granny used to say. When God puts a know-so in you, that s beyond thinking so; that s beyond hoping so; that s the limit; that s the ultimate level of knowing so. How many 29 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. All Rights Reserved Revival.org

of you realize we need more than a feeling? You mean even you Pentecostal people realize that? You need more than a feeling. What s wrong with a feeling? Nothing. Every time the Spirit falls on your flesh, you re going to feel it. Your flesh is made with a sensitivity that when God falls on you, just that external, you feel it. You recognize it. Your body... Even that vile flesh has to respond. Even this low down body that we live in has no other choice but to respond when the Spirit of God touches it. When the Spirit of God stirs His finger in your Spirit, you re going to know that you ve been touched by God. There s going to be a feeling. They ve taken things so out of context that they ve almost made it seem like to feel is sinful. I want you to know, it s not sinful to feel. No man is going to stand face to face with the Spirit of God and not have feeling. I want you to know, he wasn t just talking about that experience that some of us have had in the Holy Ghost where it touched our flesh, or it might have even moved into our spirit, but he was talking about that rubbed in experience with God, where the Spirit of the Lord penetrates this outward body. 32 They ve taken things so out of context that they ve almost made it seem like to feel is sinful. I want you to know, it s not sinful to feel. No man is going to stand face to face with the Spirit of God and not have feeling. Somebody said, Unless he s dead. I want you to know that even an old dead body with no life, with no spirit, with no soul in it, when it comes in contact with the very Life of God, it has to do something. The Bible declares it that way. Everything that comes in contact with the Life of God is touched, and you re going to feel it. But we re not living by our feeling. Because if we lived by our feeling, we would never hope against hope. We would never believe against all odds. We re not on this journey by feeling. We re on this journey by faith. God has an appointed way with us as He did with Adam. The foundation has been laid in His Word, and the Spirit of God takes this Word and makes it live, brings it to pass, causes it to manifest. You re receiving more of the Spirit of God when you have the baptism of the Holy Ghost. And we re receiving even more of the Spirit of God when we come to the place of being sealed until the Day of Redemption. It is progressive. 31 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 33 It is the devil s job to tell us each time we slip or make a mistake, You don t have the Holy Ghost. Just tell him, I may not have all the Holy Ghost I m going to have, but the Bible tells me, If we believe, we receive a portion of that Spirit. 32 Ó 2016 New Hope Revival Ministries. 34 Pastor Steven L. Shelley Senior Pastor of New Hope Revival Ministries Pastor Steven L. Shelley s life of ministry was prophesied before he was even born. His grandmother received a word that the child your daughter-in-law is carrying right now is chosen. He will carry the Gospel and many souls will be won to the kingdom of God, and he ll start at a very early age. Just like it was spoken, Pastor Shelley was filled with Holy Ghost and began preaching in 1975 at the age of seven years old and was pastoring full time by the age of seventeen. People were astounded by the revelation and conviction coming from this very young man. But it wasn t only the wisdom of the Word that touched them but the evidence of the supernatural power of God that operated in his life. His first experience with the supernatural was at the age of three when the Lord appeared in his room one night and told him things that were to come. He was told that his mother and father would separate (they divorced less than two years later) and that he would preach the Gospel and his life would not be ordinary. His life has been marked by the supernatural since that time and he has had countless visions, dreams, visitations and revelatory experiences.

Although his childhood was not an easy one God kept him through every hardship and gave him the grace not to be pulled into a lot of the traps that young people commonly face. As a result of that he was able to lead many of his fellow grade school students and even teachers to the Lord. His Pentecostal grandmother, Mildred Shelley, who had a great spiritual impact on him, pastored a church in Columbus Georgia and he would frequently be invited to preach for her. He also began traveling all over the United States holding tent revivals where he would preach and pray for the sick. Tremendous outstanding miracles and deliverances would take place and revivals would last for weeks on end. His grandmother passed away in 1990, leaving him in charge of the church, New Hope Prayer Center. In 1993, God opened the doors for 60 acres of land to be purchased in Smiths Station, Alabama and instructed him to name the property Eagle s Refuge Holiness Campground. By divine direction, the church in Columbus Georgia was sold in 2003 and a new building was constructed and dedicated in We are currently worshipping in this building in Alabama. Pastor Shelley has ministered in 65 countries and seen an outstanding harvest for the Kingdom in every one. There is one foreign country that he feels identified with more than any other and that is the nation of Israel. When he was 11 years old his grandmother took him on tour to

Israel where he met a part of his destiny. While visiting Yad Vashem he had a vision where he saw himself speaking to dry bones, as the prophet Ezekiel did and saw them come to life. At that young age he knew that he would one day return to Israel and see that vision come to pass. He didn t visit Israel again until 2002 at which time the Lord opened a door for ministry in the Land. In 2003 the Lord opened a door for our ministry to rent two apartments in Jerusalem where prophetic prayer and praise ushers daily. (For more information about Jerusalem Revival Center please visit us at Revival.org) Serving the Lord with him is his lovely wife, Stacey Ryan, who frequently travels with him in ministry. They have four beautiful children: Benjamin Judah (1998), Joshua River (2001), Olivia Zion (2003), and Moriah Destiny (2006). His mother Jane Shelley was radically saved in 1985 and is an active part of his life and ministry. So many wonderful promises and prophecies have been given to Pastor Shelley and the New Hope Revival Ministries. We thank God for the great foundation that has been laid by the prayers and tears of saints who have gone on before us. We look forward to the future knowing that the best is yet to come!
