1 2018 CampOutrageous Cast List Cast roles for MIDDLE SCHOOL through COLLEGE GUYS *Steele uber confident, outspoken, good at most sports and lets everyone know it. He believes winning is the only goal. He is so used to winning, he s actually afraid of losing. He doesn t know Christ. Note: This role will require Rock Climbing with Safety Gear. *Wendall the underdog. He s hoping the Sports Camp will reveal his talent, if he has any. He s smart, likeable, not a nerd. He s searching for his purpose in life. He was saved years ago, but isn t close to the Lord. *Kirby a solid, nice all around guy. He s into vlogging, but he s not a techie. He loves Jesus. He s a stable presence when things get tense. GIRLS *Nat (Natalie), although she never goes by her full name. She s athletic, except for a fear of heights that overwhelms her. She has tried to overcome her fear, but panic shuts her down every time. Otherwise, she s friendly, popular, and fun. Note: This role will require Rock Climbing with Safety Gear. EITHER GIRL OR GUY *Geo just happy to be here. Fun, energetic, eager to make friends. Gets nervous when trouble arrives, and can be talkative when the nerves kick in. *Possible singing role. You can audition for this role without singing.

2 Cast Roles for COLLEGE / ADULTS GUYS *Coach Adams Camp Director, assistant to Coach Newmah. He s the embodiment of the best Bible Study leader you ever had. He s fun, but firm, truly cares for the kids and understands what they need. Coach Newmah (Jesus) This is a dual role. On Days 1 through 4, the actor will play Jesus in the Biblical portion of the day. On Day 5, the same actor will portray Coach Newmah, a representation of the Holy Spirit. *Possible singing role. You can audition for this role without singing. Cast Roles for HIGH SCHOOL / COLLEGE / ADULTS Shepherds 1-4 small speaking roles featured on Day One Peter one of Jesus disciples, with speaking roles on Days 2,3, and 4 John one of Jesus disciples with speaking roles on Days 2,3, and 4 Matthew one of Jesus disciples with speaking roles on Days 2,3,and 4 Thomas one of Jesus disciples, appearing on Days 2 and 4, featured on Day 3 Paul an apostle of Jesus, featured on Day 5 Silas Paul s companion on several missionary journeys, featured on Day 5 Jailor Saved after God released Paul and Silas from prison in Phillippi, Day 5 LADIES Mary sister of Lazarus who worshipped at Jesus feet featured on Day 2 Martha -sister of Lazarus featured on Day 2

3 STEELE Yeah, so my Dad is gonna have to build on to the house just to have enough room for all my trophies. We have trophies from every Baseball, Soccer, Basketball, and Football game I ve ever won. Not bad, huh! So, I m thinking this Sports Camp is gonna be pretty boring for me. I mean, I already know how to do everything, right? But here s the payoff: once Coach Newmah sees what I can do, he s gonna call his contacts and get some scouts out here to watch me play. I m gonna make history this week. WENDALL I would rather eat dirt than go to this Camp thing. It s so embarrassing to always be the last one picked for a team. I wish we could pick teams for something I m actually good at like eating the most mac and cheese or something. My mom says, Wendall, you re the best speller in the family. Who cares!!! She says one day I m gonna figure out what my talent is, and that ll make up for all this humiliation. But until that happens, I guess I ll just have to put on my big boy pants and deal with it. Boo-rah. KIRBY I can t wait to go to this Sports Camp -it sounds pretty awesome. We re not supposed to take cell phones, but I got special permission from Coach Adams to do some video for a vlog I have kind of like a highlight reel at halftime. I m an ok player, but one thing I know about sports is you do what s best for the team, not just yourself. You know like a quarterback has to not only be a good player, but a good leader as well. That s what I want to do. It s gonna be a great week! NAT I m pretty good at sports, as long as it keeps me on the ground. But I heard someone say there are going to be challenges at this Sports Camp. What exactly does that mean? I m not trying out for American Ninja Warrior or anything. See, I have a little problem with anything higher than about 3 feet. My palms get sweaty, I get dizzy and my stomach does backflips. It s like having a terminal case of hiccups. I m just hoping every event is totally grounded cause if it s not bye, bye, Nat.

4 GEO I m late again? Seriously? Ok, it s like this, Coach: did you ever see Home Alone? The part where the power s out and the alarm doesn t go off and they almost miss their plane and they leave Kevin behind until they get to Florida, where it s been raining for 8 straight days, or France, or wherever? Well, that s kind of how it is around my house every morning no joke! My mom blames the alarm clock, but 3 clocks later, it s still happening. Her cell phone? Are you kidding me? She can t even text oh, go get in line? Yes, sir! COACH ADAMS Ok guys, so you lost. No one like to lose, but losing is part of life. You know, a lot of star athletes will tell you they learned more from losing than they ever did from winning. See, losing makes you work on your weaknesses. Losing teaches you to try harder. Losing makes winning a lot more fun. So look at it this way: losing isn t failure it s a chance to do better the next time. We ll talk more later, but right now we ve got some ziplining to do! Gear up! COACH NEWMAH (JESUS) You haven t seen Me, but I ve been here all along, watching, helping coaching. I ll always be with you but that doesn t mean your life is going to be perfect. It won t. You ll make mistakes, you ll have problems you ll have good times and bad times just like everyone else. The difference is: I ll be there to help you. Read the Bible that s my playbook. Get in the huddle talk to Me. And share what you ve learned with others. There s a world out there that needs some Good News. BIBLICAL 4 SHEPHERDS Wait where did you see the lamb? The cliff you ve got to be kidding right now I m not going over there! Why should I stick my neck out for that lamb? He s nothing but trouble. Every time I turn around, he s wandered off. Calm down? Speak for yourself! I could be back with the flock drinking yogurt and soaking my feet. But nooo I m out here looking for this lamb again with stickers and cliffs and wolves and no telling what else! Somebody put a leash on it already!

5 PETER, JOHN, MATTHEW, OR THOMAS Here s what happened. Last night, some of us decided to go fishing. We stayed out there all night and caught exactly zip. Then, just as the sun was coming up, we see this guy standing on the shore. He calls out, Hey guys - Catching anything? We say no, so He says, Try throwing your net out on the other side of the boat. Like we ve never been fishing before. But we did it anyway and suddenly, it was like every fish on the planet was hanging out on that side, just waiting for the chance to jump in the nets. What a night! MARY OR MARTHA If I don t stay busy, I ll come apart. I sent a message to Jesus a week ago about Lazarus being sick, begging Him to come. I just knew He d be here. But it s too late now. Lazarus has been in the grave 3 days already. Jesus loved him His heart is going to break. But even now, even though my brother is gone, I know the only hope of life before or after death, is through Christ. PAUL, SILAS, OR THE JAILOR I know it was midnight, because the guards were changing shifts. There was singing we were amazed that these bruised and beaten prisoners were singing! Then the earthquake this area has tremors, but this was so strong, solid iron doors flew open but no one left. They could walk out, free but they didn t. Lives were saved tonight, and the glory for all of it goes to God.
