1 THE COOK COUT BAR ASSOCIATIO (CCBA) RATIGS FOR COOK COUT CIRCUIT COURT AD SUB CIRCUIT COURT VACACIES OVEMBER 2014 GEERAL ELECTIO The Cook County Bar Association (CCBA), the nation s oldest association of African- American attorneys, has released its ratings for judicial candidates for the upcoming ovember 4, 2014 election. Judicial candidates are rated by the CCBA Board of Directors through the recommendation submitted by the Judicial Evaluation Committee. Screening is based on detailed information supplied by candidates, a background check by trained lawyers/investigators, and interviews of each candidate. Ratings reflect the CCBA s opinion of whether candidates have the necessary qualifications for judicial service and are not a reflection of the candidates abilities as lawyers or as trial judges. Judicial candidates may receive one of the following ratings: A. Highly B. C. ot D.
