Life everywhere is hung together p r e t t y much by gangs. More polite names m a y b? in vogue, nevertheless, they are gangs. There is the rich m a n ' s gang, perhaps they call it a club. T h e r e is the labor gang, they call it a union. There is t h e elite gang, they call it society. There is the devout gang, they call it a church. Every b r a n d and breed of human beings in every land line up and m a y be classified as gangs. In our great cities it is t h e gangs of thieves, of outlaws or of toughs t h a t prey upon and menace all other gangs like one herd of animals feed upon another herd or flock or species. Not f a r f r o m the animal a r e we, even t h e animal undomesticated. Now, gangs well organized and regulated will accomplish wond e r f u l feats. Gangs built our railroads, our great arteries of traffic, our telegraph lines. Gangs, yes, they built our homes, our stores, our cities. The carpenter gang, the plumber gang, the paint gang, the roofing gang, they work m gangs, we live in gangs. It's handy, it's convenient, this idea of t e a m work and t e a m life is one of absolute necessity. No m a n would a t t e m p t to cross the sea in a ship single handed, but with a crew or gang trained,^ disciplined and under control the g r e a t ocean liner has a good chance of reaching port. NO. 23 So we gang together in a high order called the church. Even t h e church has its shifts, its personnel, its groups or its gangs. If the construction gang and t h e rivoting gang and the floor.gang build the bridge, even so, does the ladies guild and t h e Bible school and t h e young peoples society build t h e church. In t h e letter to t h e Corinthians we read, W e a r e labourers together with God. Ye a r e God's building. Again in chapter twelve, F o r the body is not one member, but many, namely, t h e eye f o r sight, e a r f o r hearing, nose f o r smelling, the foot for conveying, hand for toil, this is an a n a t o m y gang, which, when organized a n d operating glories its M a k e r a n d leaves foot-prints on the sands of eternity. Let us learn a lesson f r o m this common-place word gangs. If t h e ants and bees together with hundreds of other species of organized life cooperating in bands, wonderfully united a n d plodding along with astonishing diligence, p u r s u a n t to t h e laws of instinct a n d destiny, then we too in gangs, or bands, or groups, or by any other label m a y work out t h e wonder plan, t h a t was f r o m t h e beginning, f o r every soul to f e a r God, keep His commandments and enjoy H i m forever. Maxwell, died Friday, May 27th at her home in Cleveland. Funeral services were held May 31st. The sympathy of the members of our Bible School and church go out to Mr. Maxwell in his bereavement. <?>_ LADIES BI LE CLASS The regular monthly meeting of the Ladies Bible Class will be held at the home of Mrs. Harry Osman, 111 Sanford Avenue, Tuesday, evening, June 14th. The exercises will be held 140 E. Kent Road, Stow P. S. We wash Cars in the Tabernacle. The cexact time of the program, probably about 7:15 P. M. will be announced in Bible School Sunday morning. On aec unt of the evening Children's Day program there will be no evening church service. However church services will be again held in the morning immediately following Bible Sehool.
