6 London -A London -B London London QUESTIONS AND ISSUES Issue Rights for Crime Victims Proposed Constitutional Amendment Proposed by Initiative Petition To repeal and replace the existing language in Section 0a of Article I of the Constituion of the State of Ohio A majority yes vote is necessary for the amendment to pass. The proposed amendment would expand the rights of victims under the current Section 0a and require that the rights of victims be protected as vigorously as the rights of the accused. More specifically, for the purpose of ensuring due process, respect, fairness, and justice from crime victims and their families in the criminal and juvenile justice systems, the amendment would provide victims with: the right to privacy and to be treated with respect, fairness, and dignity; Sate Issue the right to information about the rights and services available to crime victims; the right to notification in a timely manner of all proceedings in the case; the right to be present and heard at all court proceedings, including the right to petition the court to protect the victim's rights; the right to a prompt conclusion of the case; to refuse discovery requests made by the accused, except as authorized by Article I, Section 0 of the Ohio constitution; the right to reasonable protection from the acussed; the right to notice of the release or escape of the accused; and the right to restitution. The proposed amendment would not establish a cause of action for damages or compensation against the state or any political subdivision. If approved, the amendment will be effective 90 days after the election. Issue To require state agencies to no pay more for prescription drugs than the federal Department of Veterans Affairs and require state payment of attorney fees and expenses to specific individuals for defense of the law Proposed Law Proposed by Initiative Petition State Issue To enact Chapter 94 of the Ohio Revised Code A majority yes vote is necessary for the law to pass. To enact Chapter 94 of the Ohio Revised Code, which could: Require the State of Ohio, including its state departments, agencies and entities, to not pay more for prescription drugs than the price paid by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.

7 London -A London -B London London Establish that the individual petitioners responsible for proposing the law have a direct and personal stake in defending the law; require the State to pay petitioners' reasonable attorney fees and other expenses; require the petitioners to pay $0,000 to the State if the law is held by a court to be unenforceable and limit petitioners' personal liability to that amount; and require the Attorney General to defend the law law if challenged in court.

Village of South Solon An additional tax for the benefit of the Village of South Solon for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding.885 mills for each one dollar of valuaiton, which amounts to $0.885 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 07, first due in calendar year 08. Local Liquor Option Shall the sale of wine and mixed beverages and spirituous liquor be permitted for sale on Sunday between the hours of ten a.m. and midnight by Ronald R. Winn, dba Lee's Sports & Spirits & Patio an applicant for a D-6 liquor permit, who is engaged in the business of operating a bar/restaurant at 09 W. Bigelow Avenue, Plain City, Ohio 4064 in this precinct? Township A renewal of.88 mills and an increase of 0.4 mill to constitute a tax for the benefit of Township for the purpose of fire protection and emergency squad service at a rate not exceeding. mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0. for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 08, first due in calendar year 09. Range Township Somerford Township Stokes Township Madison-Plains Local School District Sterling Joint Ambulance District A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Range Township for the purpose of fire protection at a rate not exceeding.7 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.7 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 07, first due in calendar year 08. A replacement of a tax for the benefit of Somerford Township for the purpose of fire protection at a rate not exceeding mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.0 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 08, first due in calendar year 09. A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Stokes Township for the purpose of providing the protection and to provide and maintain fire apparatus, appliances, buildings or sites therefore or sources of water supply and materials therefore at a rate not exceeding 0.8 mill for each one dollar of valuaiton, which amounts to $0.08 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 08, first due in calendar year 09. A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Madison-Plains Local School District for the purpose of providing permanent improvements and for the purchase of school buses at a rate not exceeding.5 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.5 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 08, first due in calendar year 09. A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Sterling Joint Ambulance District for the purpose of current operating expenses at a rate not exceeding.8 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which aounts to $0.8 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 07, first due in calendar year 08.
