3 Notes for NANCY BAKER LOGSDON: Story has it that Nancy and her mother Susannah Lackey lived near Mammoth Cave. They were attacked by indians who killed Mr. Baker and captured Susannah and Nancy. Susannanh managed to escape. The indians were fascinated by Nancy's flaming red hair and planned to adopt her. Her ears had been pierced with 9 holes each.
