Michele is a well-known Adventist artist who painted the masterpiece in the foyer of Palisades Adventist School as well as the one in the cafeteria at Upper Columbia Academy. You won't want to miss hearing about the miracles that God performed around the painting of the picture that now hangs at Palisades. Check out here website at to view her work. 7 1115 N Government Way Spokane, WA Palisades Christian Academy is seeking a qualified person for the position of School Treasure beginning October (This is a part-time position of approximately 30 hours per week) Qualified individual must have a minimum of a Bachelor s Degree in the area of accounting, school business management, or related fields, as well as past job related experience. They must have a working knowledge of accounting software programs and demonstrate proficiency in the use of QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office. The treasure duties include preparing the school budget, accounts receivable, preparing monthly financial reports, payroll, etc. The position requires the highest level of confidentiality and the ability to work as part of the administrative team. Good speaking and writing skills are a must. Her classroom is already beautiful, welcoming, and filled with unique collections from her travels around the world. Parents, your kids are going to be in creative and dedicated hands! Student Aid: Families who desire to provide their child(ren) with a Christian education, but need financial support, please contact the church office. This applies to the school in which Linwood is a constituent church and the financial assistance does not apply to daycare costs. There will be a limit of the aid we can provide, please pray that we will be able to help all who need assistance. In 2014, Washington state wildfires burned more than 350,000 acres of farm and forest land in Chelan and Okanogan counties and destroyed more than 300 private homes. If you ever wanted to help, now is your opportunity. The Washington Conference is arranging a 2015 Community Rebuilding Mission Trip for October 25 to November 2, 2015, in Okanogan County, Washington. You are invited to experience a life changing, faith-building Bible Study Tour led by Dr. Carl Cosaert, Professor of Biblical Studies at Walla Walla University. Participants will visit Ancient Biblical sites that will make the Bible come alive. The tour will begin in Jordan and will continue on to Israel. The cost of the tour is based on doubly occupancy and includes breakfast and most suppers. It also includes your stay in four star hotels, travel in a private deluxe coach, entrance fees for all tour sites and museums, tips for driver and guide. Be a Missionary Teacher for 10 months. The NAD Office of Volunteer Ministries is seeking volunteers between the age of 18 to 70 who are baptized members of the Adventist church and committed followers of Jesus, who can fund their own airline ticket. Guam-Micronesia Mission has 54 positions to fill in their eight island schools as they begin their school year. The islands of Ebeye, Yap, Chuuk, and Kosrae currently have the greatest needs, and may be unable to begin their school year unless teachers arrive soon. The mission school will provide volunteers with accommodations, a modest living allowance, and accident/illness travel insurance. Available positions include elementary and high school classes, and volunteer teachers are expected to commit to a full school-year of teaching (approximately 10 months). 12 We Believe That the Bible is the final authority for all belief and practice for the Christian (2 Timothy 3:16-17). 2. That there is one God revealed in three persons God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16-17: Genesis 1:26). 3. That we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (John 3:16, 1 John 5:12-13 & Ephesians 2:8-9). 4. That Christians who have been redeemed by Jesus will live in obedience to all of His commandments (John 14:15). 5. That Jesus will come again very soon (John 14:1-3). 6. That the requirements of the Ten Commandments are still binding on all people today, including the seventh-day Sabbath of the fourth commandment (Matthew 5:17, Exodus 20:8-11). 7. That the judgment which will decide the eternal destiny of all people is now taking place in heaven (Daniel 8:14, 9:25-27). 8. That when a person dies one does not go immediately to heaven or hell, but rests in the grave as one who is asleep awaiting the resurrection (Ecclesiastes 9:5-6, John 5:28-29, 11:11-14). 9. That after Jesus comes again, the people of God will judge the world with Jesus, following which fire will fall from heaven to completely devour the wicked and purify the earth (1 Corinthians 6:2-3, Revelation 20:4-9, 2 Peter 3:10-13). 10. That God, as a loving Father, wants us to live healthful lives avoiding foods and substances He has declared unfit, and actively pursuing positive lifestyle habits (Leviticus 11, Proverbs 20:1, Daniel 1:8, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20). 11. That the followers of Jesus will live pure and honorable lives making sure their business, recreation and relationships meet the Bible standard (Philippians 4:8). 12. That God gives spiritual gifts to His people for the purpose of ministry. Given by the agency of the Holy Spirit gifts provide the abilities and ministries such as faith, healing, prophecy, proclamation, teaching, administration, reconciliation, compassion, charity and other gifts. (1 Corinthians 12; Rom. 12:4-8; 1 Peter 4:10, 11). 13. That the Seventh-day Adventist Church fills a special role in the world today to prepare people for the 2nd coming of Jesus (Rev. 14:6-13). 14. That we will grow as we spend time with God in prayer, as we feed on His word and share His love through witnessing.(2 Timothy 2:15; Ephesians 6:18; Galatians 5:22-25) 15. That the Bible teaches that all who have accepted Jesus as their Savior/Lord, and who intend to obey all the teachings of the Bible should be baptized by immersion (John 3:5; Mark 16:16 & Matthew 28:19-20).
