5 Heart of the Community, making a difference Moose International: Making our communities better places in which to live is a major portion of the mission of the Moose fraternity. Our Lodges and Chapters annually contribute monetary donations, values of miles driven and value of hours served totaling more than $75 million. From small projects to large undertakings, from local programs to national and international partnerships, In the Heart of the Community program Bellefontaine Moose is among the best. This one document will help do so much for so many people! the men and women of the Moose are there and they are reliable, compassionate and genuine in their responses to the needs of others. Our goal is for residents, both members and non-members, to see the Moose as The Heart of the Community. Bellefontaine Moose last fiscal Quarter: $400 to Endowment fund $5000 to Moosehaven Centennial Project $100 to Tommy Moose Project $200 to Safe Web Surfing Foundation $2200 to Special Olympics of Ohio $100 to Tent Town for Special Olympics of Ohio $100 to Ohio State Moose VAVS (Veterans) $500 to Bellefontaine Youth Bowling League to help cover shirts and fees $3000 to a local Food Pantry $100 to OSMA Museum $1000 to Adriel Schools $1100 to Logan County Preservation Society $1300 to Habit for Humanity Way to go Moose Members and a big thank you! Raise the Roof, build the Moose Family Organization The most important moose document you can carry is the form for signing up members. The Bellefontaine Moose is well on the way to our goals. Get out and sign friends, family, and people you know for a chance to have the most fun in Bellefontaine, at the friendliest place in town. By being a member there are very large numbers of people that you can make a positive difference in their lives by Lodge community service and helpfulness. Even by just walking in, you bring a certain Moose spirit to the lodge. Any member can sponsor men or women into the lodge. Yearly dues: men $40; women $30, one time fee $20. Ring, Ring, Ring goes the Bell The Bellefontaine Moose Lodge is starting another newsletter. This will add to our other web communications on Facebook, YouTube, Moose Web, and the OSMA site to spread the word about our Moose pride and fun at the friendliest place in town. The Bell Publication will cover areas of our fine lodge, but we need pictures to make it fun. Pass it around to people you know. Special thanks to Richard Sharon for all the documents used to get the non profit mailing permit, and for the members list. Thanks to Jon Kunze for all the printing. The Publication Committee: Co-editors Chris Tillman and Phil Dick. Assistants: Sandy Peyton, Christina Pearson, Dick Sharon, Ty Rowe, Chuck Peyton!
