2 A is for Assassinated Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on April 14, 1865 when he and his wife went to Ford Theatre. He got shot in the head by someone and died.

3 B is for Birth Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 in Hodgenville, Kentucky.

4 C is for Civil War Six weeks after Abraham Lincoln took office, a civil war broke out on Fort Sumter on April 12, The war lasted 4 devastating years and many were killed.

5 D is for Decisive Manager Abraham Lincoln was a decisive manager. He would make decisions and he would stick to them.

6 E is for Emancipation Proclamation In 1863 Abraham Lincoln passed the Emancipation Proclamation which stated that enslaved people in Confederate states were free from their owners.

7 F is for Fricasseed Chicken Abraham Lincoln s favorite food was Fricasseed Chicken, which is chicken meat that is sauteed and then stewed with vegetables. You can add anything you like.

8 G is for Gettysburg Adress Abraham Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address on November 19, 1863 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This was one of the most famous speeches throughout history. It was for a dedication ceremony at a national cemetery.

9 H is for Honest Abe Honest Abe was the nickname that was given to Lincoln by the people because of his honesty towards others. There has been many stories of his kind deeds.

10 I is for Inauguration Abraham Lincoln was inaugurated on March 4, 1861, where he took the oath of office and swore his official vows, and became the 16 th president of the United States.

11 J is for Jokes Abraham Lincoln came up with many humorous jokes during his life. Here is one that says, If this is coffee, please bring me some tea; if this is tea, please bring me some coffee. and, No matter how much cats fight, there always seem to be plenty of kittens.

12 K is for Kids Abraham Lincoln and his wife, Mary Lincoln had four sons, Robert Todd Lincoln, Edward Baker Lincoln, William Wallace Lincoln, and Thomas Lincoln. Out of his four children, only the oldest son, Robert Lincoln, lived until adulthood.

13 Abraham Lincoln was known as lazy to his father. He would avoid hunting and fishing, because of how much he adored animals. He has owned many pets including a turkey, goats, ponies, cats, dogs, pigs, and a white rabbit. L is for Lazy

14 M is for Mary Todd Lincoln Mary Todd Lincoln, wife of Abraham Lincoln, was born on December 13, 1818 in Lexington, Kentucky. Her parents didn t really liked it when they found out that her husband was poor. She died from a stroke on July 16, 1882.

15 N is for Nationalism Abraham Lincoln was a strong nationalist, a strong patriot for the United States.

16 O is for Organized Abraham Lincoln was not organized. He would write notes or letters, then forget where he would put them. Maybe that is why he keeps stuff in that top hat he wears.

17 This coin was announced in 1809 in honor of the birth of Abraham Lincoln. The design had been remade or edited a couple of times. The front had a side portrait of the 16 th president, along with the motto, In God We Trust. The back shows the Lincoln Memorial. A penny might seem small, but it can really save up! P is for Penny

18 Q is for Quotes Abraham Lincoln came up with many intelligent quotes: A friend is one who has the same enemies as you have. A house divided against itself cannot stand. A woman is the only thing I am afraid of that I know will not hurt me.

19 R is for Religion Abraham Lincoln considered himself a Christian, although he doesn t go to church. He read the Bible on a daily basis, and his wife Mary said he was a Christian. This has been making the people really confused and curious to what he really is.

20 S is for Slavery Abraham Lincoln was also known for abolishing slavery. It was not official until it became the 13 th amendment and abolished slavery in the U.S. It was passed the Senate on April 8, 1864 and the House on January 31, 1865.

21 Abraham Lincoln was the tallest president in U.S. history. He was 6 feet 4 inches, along with a top hat. Some say he kept his speeches in there or maybe a rabbit! T is for Tall

22 U is for Union Abraham Lincoln helped restored and reunited the states and the Union as it was falling apart when he first took office. Abraham Lincoln was known as the most important president in U.S. history.

23 V is for Voting Abraham Lincoln was a strong leader, because he supported women s rights especially giving them the right to vote.

24 W is for Walking & Wrestling One of Abraham Lincoln s favorite hobbies as a young man was to go walking and wrestling.

25 X is for executive Abraham Lincoln was a president, so he worked in the executive branch of government.

26 Y is for Youth As a child, young Lincoln taught himself how to read and write because his family didn t have enough money to give him proper education.

27 Z is for Zero Abraham Lincoln paid back every penny of his loan until he owed nothing, zero.
