2 3fn Cpltr "So I say live by the Spirit" Theodore Tyler Wright, the youngest son and the fourth child of the late James A. and Katie T. Wright was born on August 4, 1945, in Augusta, Georgia. On Monday, May 2, 2005, Ted was impressively welcomed home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his parents, big brother, Jimmy (James, Jr., 1996) and his brother/partner, Wade (Arthur, 2003). Just as Christ is seated at the right hand of God, Mother too has her sons with her this Mother s Day. What a beautiful image to behold! Ted was educated in the public schools of Richmond County and was indeed a proud Lucy Craft Laney Wildcat graduate of the Class of Over the years, he enjoyed many friendships that have lasted through the love, laughter, sorrow and tears of life. If Ted was your friend, you had a good friend! He enjoyed sports to the fullest. He played recreational basketball (street ball), football (C.T Walker) and was a Boy Scout (Bethlehem Center). Swimming was also a passion of Teds at our area Jones Pool. We had a swim team in our community. Ted s spiritual life was nurtured in a strong and familyoriented upbringing. He accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at the Trinity Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, under the pastorate of the late Rev. Grover C. Jay. He was a Sunday School teacher, life guard at the Vacation Bible School picnics, Sunday School Superintendent (mentored by Mr. Isaiah Abney) and sang in the Youth Choir. Ted s world was filled with so much joy after the Lord saw fit to send TaMya Nicole into his life. She was indeed the "apple" of her father s eye for so many years. Just as grandparents are eager to show the

3 "brag book," this father was equally willing to share his pictures also. At the time of his demise, Ted was a Pathology Technician in Pathology and Area Services of the Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia. Ted received several performance and incentive cash awards for diligent work and his willingness to do whatever was asked of him. He approached his job in a professional manner with a sincere concern for the forensic autopsy he was performing. Ted had exceptional ability, foresight, sound judgment, seasoned talents, a positive attitude and compassion in his job. It is no doubt that Ted Wright will be missed in Pathology at Fort Gordon. He also "moonlighted" sometimes at University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. Those family and friends who remain can honor Ted s life by living by the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. We remain: a loving daughter, Ms. TaMya N. Wright; granddaughters, Kimiah and Tyjai Wright, Hephzibah, Georgia; four devoted sisters, Mrs. Janet W Mayes, Augusta, Georgia, Mrs. G. Veronica W (Bill) Gist, Greensboro, North Carolina, Mrs. Dianne W (Gil) Gilyard, Augusta, Georgia and Mrs. Peggie W (John) Borum, Marietta, Georgia; Godson, Mr. William "Jai" Gilyard, IV, Atlanta, Georgia; an uncle, Mr. James Kimbol, Chicago, Illinois; five aunts, Mrs. Lela W (Samuel) Stone, Evans, Georgia, Mrs. Mildred W Clay, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Jewel T Gross, Great Neck, New York, Mrs. Jean Wright, St. Albans, New York and Mrs. Mary Wright, Raleigh, North Carolina; loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and true friends: Freida Bright, Flim "Bubba" Wimberly and Dan O.
