Present: Presdent J.E.Shatzel. Absent: John Begg, Vce Presdent J.E.Collns, Treasurer J.D.TcDonel, Secretary Wm. B. Gutteau. Presdent H.B.Wllams also present. Presdent John Begg presded. Readng of the mnutes of prevous dspensed wth. Secretary J.E.Shatzel reqd the followng memorandum of agreement, to-wt:l!ek0ra2ou 0? AGREEMENT entered nto ths day of nneteen hundred and ffteen, by and between CLARENCE G. TAYLOR, as Recever of The Lake Ere, Bowlng Green and Napoleon Ralway Company, herenafter called "the Recever", of the frst part, and THE BOARD OP TRUSTEES, of The Bowlng Green State Normal College, herenafter called "the Board", of the second part, and ther respectve successors and assgns, N E S S E T H: 1. The Recever agfees to furnsh to~"the Board and the Board agrees to take from the Recever, for and durng the perod of two (2) years, begnnng on the frst day of July, 191?, and endng on the thrteth day of June, 1917, all of the electrc current used for the operaton of such lghts, motors and electrc heatng apparatus as are now, or rray hereafter be, nstalled, on the grounds and n the buldngs occuped and to be accuped by the Bowlng Green State Normal School n the Vllage of Bowlng Green, Oho, and the Board agrees to pay to the Recever monthly for such electrcty at the follo.vng rates, to-wt:-etee-trcty used.for Lghtng Purposes. For the frst fve hundredtfoot kflowatts consumed n any calender month four cents (4// per klowatt. For the next fve hundred (500) klowatts, or any part thereof, consumed n any calender moneh, three and onehalf cents (3-1/2/) per klowatt. For all electrc current over one thousand (l,000) klowatts consumed n any calender month three cents (3/) per klowatt. Electrc Current _fo_r Operaton of T/otors and for Power and Heat., Eor the frst fve hundred (^ddt'kflowatts consumed n any calender month two and one-half cents (2-1/2/) per klowatt. For the next fve Hundred (500) klowatts consumed n any calender month two and one-quatter cents (2-1/4/) per klowatt. For axl electrc current over one thousand (1,000) klowatts consumed n any calender moneh, two cents (2/) per klowatt. The Board shall have tne opton of contnung tne contract for an addtonal term of two (2) years next succeedng the expraton of the prmary term, provded the Board shall notfy fhe Recever of ts ntenton so to do by a notce, n wrtng, served on the Recever not less than sxty (60) days nor more than nnety (90) days pror to the expraton of sad prmary term. 2. The Recever shall, on or beforethe ffth day of each month, render blls to the Board for electrc current consumed under ths contract bythe Board durng the precedng calender month. f such blls be pad wthn fve (5) days after the next regular meetng of the Board, the Board shall be allowed a dsc unt cf ten per cent (10#) on blls for electrc current used for lghtng and a dscount of fve per cent ( 5%) on blls for current used for operaton of mo tots, power and heatng. f, for any reason, blls cannot be rendered on or before the ffth day of the month, they shall be rendered as soon as possble thereafter, and Board shall have : ve (5) days after ts next succeedng regular meetng n whch to pay the same and stll receve the dscount stpulated. Blls shall be pad at the offce of the Recever n lowlng Green, Oho. 3«For all current ts be used wthn the buldngs, the Recever shall furnsh such materals and nstall the same, as shall be necessary to brng the current to tne connecton outsde such buldngs. The Board shall, at ts own cost, nstall and mantan lghts, swtches, boards and other apparatus nsde or upon the grounds. All wres and other equpment nstalled by the Recever, as n ths paragraph provded, shall be placed underground on the premses controlled by the Bpard. 4. For the purpose of lghtng the grounds under the control of the Board, the Recever shall furnsh all of the wres, poles, brackets lamps and other materals necessary therefor. The lamps shall be one hundred (100) watt Mazda lamps, wth metal reflectors, porcelan lned, eghteen nches (18) n dameter. The lamps shall be fastened to the poles by ron brackets of the 7/estnghouse type. The poles shall be of wood, not less than twentyfve (25) feet n length over all.

All wrng and other apparatus for the lghtng of the grounds shall be above ground. f the Board desres any materals, equpment or nstallaton for lghtng the ground other than those heren specfed, they shall be furnshed, nstalled and mantaned by the Poard at ts own cost and expense, except that the Recever shall furnsh the lamps whch shall be one hundred (100) watt J'azda lamps, and the wre for transmttng the current thereto. 5. The Recever shall furnsh all meters and transformers necessary for furnshng lght, heat and power as above set forth, and the Board shall furnsh proper space n whch the same may be nstalled and kept. The Recever shall at hs expense, furnsh and nstall n such place as the Board shall provde, at ts expense, one motor generator set of ten klowatt capacty to furnsh drect current for use n ts'laboratores. The power used to drve sad motor shall be pad for at the power rate heren provded. 6. All meters, swtches, wres, lamps, poles and other materal and applances furnshed by tre Recever, as above provded, are not sold under ths contract, but are to be and reman the property of the Recever and of hs successors and assgns. 7. The Board agrees to provde space for the meters, wres, transformers and other applances on sad premses and further agrees that no one no+ an agent of the Recever or otherwse lawfully entj led to flo so shall be permtted to remove, nspect or tamper wth tne same, and that the sad Recever, and any agent properly authorzed by hm, shall, at. all reasonable tmes, have free access to the sad premses for the purpose of nstallng, examnng, reparng or removng hs sad meters, transformers, wres, lamps, poles and other apparatus, materals and applances. 8. Upon the termnaton of ths contract by expraton of term, cancellaton or otherwse, the Eoard, nstead of permttng the Recever to remove hs property, shall have 'he opton to purchase the same as a whole, at the far -eplacement value thereof. f the partes are unable '0 agree upon the valuaton, such valuaton shall be fxed by three arbtrators, one of whom shall be apponted by --ach party, and the thrd selected by the two thus apponted. Such arbtrators shall be apponted upon the demand of ether party, wthn ten (10) days of such demand; they shall make ther apprasement and award wthn ten (10) days after ther appontment, and the amount found due by them shall be pad by the Board to the Recever wthn, ten (10) days of tne r.cept cf such award. The arbtrators shall each receve compensaton n the amount of ten dollars ($10.00) per day whle actually engaged n makng ther sad apprasement and award, sad compensaton and ther actual and neceaasry expenses ncurred tneren to be pad one-half by each of tne partes nereto. 9. The Recever agrees to use reasonable dlgence n provdng a regular and unnterrupted supply of electrcty, but does not guarantee the same and shall not be lable n damggea to t,e Board for temporary falure to supply the same. 10. Renewals of ncandescent mamps used for the purpose of lghtng the grounds shall be furnshed by the Recever, but all other lamps and motors, except the motor generator provded for n paragraph fve (5), shall be furnshed by the Board, at ts expense. 11. All motors used by the Board 3ha be such as wll operate successfully on the Recever's mans, subject to hs approval. Servce connectons wll be furnshed from the Recever's mans, to the outsde of the buldngs. All wrng, lamps, and applances nsde of the buldngs, except meters, transformers and motor generator set, shall be provded by the Board and by t mantaned n a satsfactory condton. 12. The Board agrees that n connecton wll be made wth the Recever's mans and supply wres wthout hs consent frst obtaned and, when connecton has once been made, no addtonal lamps or motors wll be nstalled or connected drectly or ndrectly wth sad mans or supply wres wthout frst notfyng the Recever and obtanng hs wrtten consent thereto All current for lghtng purposes shall be sngle phase alternatng current sxty (60) cycle one hundred and ten (110) volts. Howard of the frm of Howard & Ferram, was nstructed to make a thorough and complete nspecton of the buldngs now under constructon and do those thngs whch were necessary to expedte ther completon and to report to ths Board the result of ths nspecton, together wth hs recommendatons. The Secretary was nstructed to procure a wrtten opnon from Edward C. Turner, Attorney General of Oho, as to whether or not laborers and materal man have the rght, under the laws of the State of Oho, to procure lens aganst publc buldngs, such as the Fowlng Green State JJcrmal College buldngs. Upon the suggeston of Fr. Howard, of Howard A Ferram, Archtects, that the desgn of the nteror doors for the Scence and Agrculture buldng should be made to conform to those of t.e Admnstraton t was moved by Collns and seconded by FcDonel that ths should be done and the Archtects were authorzed to order ths to be done and that Pyrona Freproof doors, made of the Bame materal as the freproof doors n the Admnstraton buldng should be used and that ths
