2 CCDevP Basketball Tournament- The Community Child Development Basketball Tournament was outstanding as more than 70 youth in the community participated during the first weeks. Special thanks to our Pastor for allowing us to participate. Extra special thanks to Coach Marcus Jones and a host of volunteers for a job well done. The Children s Ministry performed in a program about the creation of mankind and how the first sin shaped what the world is today. Well done children! Rev. Ziegler, Min. Leader.

3 Issue#: 2 11 Youth Weekend JUNE EVENTS Sunday School Congress Youth weekend will be held Friday, June 8 th - Sunday, June 10 th. This weekend is ALL ABOUT our youth. From basketball games, carnival and service run by the youth, this weekend will be one not to miss. This year Congress will be held in St. Louis from June 18 th -June 22 nd. CHURCH ANNIVERSARY FAMILY CONFERNCE 3 rd - 8 th - 30 th - St. Titus One will be Celebrating its 19 th year Church Anniversary. 6 Issue#: 2 3 Men of Faith Black History Program The Men of Faith had their annual Service on Sunday, February 26 th. They gave us insight in what it means to be a man in the Old School and New School way. The Children Ministry put on an excellent program showcasing people and moments from black history. There was a rendition of the Obamas, music trivia, skits, poems and a listening to Martin Luther King Jr. speech. Job well done Youth!. Rev. Ziegler, Min. Leader & Taschia Dorsey, Program Coordinator. Visit for videos. SPIRIT DAY Throw Back Concert Sunday, March 4 th was Spirit Day at St. Titus One and the Spirit was colossal! The Lord was surely in the house and having his way. 7 new members gave their lives over to Christ. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! Sunday, March 11 th the Voices of St. Titus One took us back in song. From songs like The Old Land Mark, Viewing the Hold City, and Safe In His Arms to many others. It was an awesome move of God! Visit the website for more photos and videos.

7 Issue#: 2 5 Pastor Jones on the Move! Pastor Michael A. Jones, I recently met with Christopher G. Kennedy, son of U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy and member of the distinguished Kennedy family at Merchandise Mart in Chicago. Pastor Jones was among a select group of pastors invited to learn about and participate in a special program to benefit our community. Christopher Kennedy is the president of the Merchandise Mart Properties here in Chicago. Pastor Jones recently spoke to approximately 60 men during the Restoration Church Men s Conference. About 15 men from St. Titus One were in attendance to show support. This was a life changing event.

8 Issue#: 2 2 CONGRATULATIONS!!! Congratulations to Derius Handy who was selected to attend the National Black Engineers Conference in Pittsburgh! What a great opportunity and excellent exposure!! Congratulations to Chardaé Capler who was selected to be on the "Changing Children's Worlds" Board of Directors as a Youth Board Member. 9 Issue#: 2 6 Special Offering/ Special Event Funds that are paid into special offering or special events, must be used for the purpose in which it was paid. These funds are non-transferable and non-refundable. If you decide not to utilize the funds, they will be forfeited and utilized in the general budget. This is applicable to any special offering or special event including but not limited to the Church Retreat, Sunday School Convention, Banquet tickets etc. This is effective immediately. It is understood that all other offerings are applied as specified with no exceptions. Pastor Gives Lecture at National Baptist Convention Home Mission Board Revival! Pastor Jones was selected to represent Salem District and speak at the National Baptist Convention Home Mission Board Revival on March 30th. This event was sponsored by two State Conventions - The Illinois Baptist General Convention of Il and the United Baptist State Convention of IL. This is the first time pastor spoke at a National Baptist Convention Event! Thanks to the members of St. Titus One who came out in full support of their pastor! God Bless You.

TITUS ONE COMMUNITY/CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROGRAM- WEST PULLMAN Congratulations to the St. Titus One Community Child Development and Violence Prevention team on your completion of facilitator training. Hats off to St. Titus One members Marcus Jones, Adina Chambers, Charmian Capler, Latrice Bryant and Geri Jones on a job well done. Other facilitators who successfully completed the training were Kimberly Cianci and Geneva Gore. Extra special thanks to St. Titus One members who completed our first Caregiver Parenting Training! You are awesome! Taschia Dorsey, Tina Harris, Xylia Givens, Sierra Sparks, Tomeiko Sewell, Kim Nixon, Algela Brown, Jade Johnson, Minister Stewart, Dominique Mingo, and Erica Wilkerson! All participants made history! Special thanks to all who participated and helped with the CCDevVP Basketball Tournament and Cheer, Rap & Poster Contest! Our games were awesome. Nearly 100 members of the community came out to watch and support. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Dymon Parrish who got the highest ISAT score in the 5 th grade class. She won a Kindle Fire for this honor from her school. Ja Quetta Prater was recently accepted to Marquette University, Illinois State, Baylor University and Clark Atlanta University with a full tuition scholarships to each one. Minister Stewart recently celebrated his retirement from Orkin after over 26 years of service! Miara Jones & Lauren Adams were recently featured as student of the month during the month of Feburary in their respective schools. This honor included a Photo on the Bulletin board in the main foyer of the school. Randy Weldon recently got accepted to Alabama A & M University!!!
