Journeying together with you over the past 13 years has been an absolute joy. We look forward with great faith as we continue to journey passionately into the future to which God has so gracefully called us. The quest we are on to be a church where all can belong, become, and bless... is more exciting than ever! I don't know what Ralph Waldo Emerson was thinking about when he said, "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us" - but it sure resonates deep within me as a Christ-follower! I am so thankful to be part of church that gratefully builds on its past, while not being afraid to answer the Spirit that lives within us when He calls us to change for the sake of sharing the Gospel! Thank you, SMC, for being a powerful example of what Paul calls us to in Ephesians 4:1-6: "I beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.
