They settled in Pusheta Township, Allen County (later to become Auglaize County), Ohio, where Catherine (KLIPFEL) BRUNN s parents had settled ten years earlier. Barbara BRUNN married Frank William OCKENFELS in 1858 in Pusheta Township, Auglaize County, Ohio. Frank William OCKENFELS was born on March 10, 1835 in Prussia (Germany). By 1880, Frank William and Barbara (BRUNN) OCKENFELS and their children were living in Dingsmansburg, Clinton Township, Shelby County, Ohio. In 1900, Frank William OCKENFELS s occupation was listed as laborer (Brewery). In the 1910 Clinton Township, Shelby County, Ohio Census, taken on April 18, 1910, Frank William and Barbara (BRUNN) OCKENFELS were living at 20 Brooklyn Avenue, with their daughter Mary C. Graceland Cem Census, Sidney, Shelby County, Ohio It appears that a John BRUNNER, age 10, is listed as living with Francis W. and Barbara (BRUNN) OCKENFELS, and their first son, Francis William OCKENFELS. I have no explanation as to who John BRUNNER is. The age matches Barbara (BRUNN) OCKENFELS brother John BRUNN, however, this John BRUNN (Barbara s brother) is listed with his parents in the 1860 Census of Pusheta Township, Auglaize County. Francis W. OCKENFELS, age 25, was listed as a Day Laborer, and the value of his real estate was listed at $300. The 1900 Census gave 1857 as the year that Frank and Barbara (BRUNN) OCKENFELS immigrated to the United States, noting that they have been in the United States for 43 years. BRUNN_KLIPFEL Page 7

He was one of a set of triplets, and I am uncertain of their birth order, so he was either the second, third, or fourth of six known children born to John BRUNN and Catherine KLIPFEL. August BRUNN died before 1850, probably in Pusheta Township, Auglaize County, Ohio. I am uncertain where he is buried, but it is likely St. John s Cemetery, or Ruppert Cemetery. From the website: Notes for John Brunn - John Brunn was born in Bavaria around 1798 and married Catherine Klipfel, daughter of Joseph Klipfel, in the village of Hausen near Schonungen, Bavaria. This family came to Ohio in 1844 and joined the Klipfel family already established in Pusheta Township, Auglaize County, Ohio. In 1846 triplets were born to this couple in Auglaize County; Francis Brunn survived to adulthood. one of a set of triplets, and I am uncertain of their birth order, so he was either the second, third, or fourth of six known children born to John BRUNN and Catherine KLIPFEL. Francis BRUNN married Catherine WARMUTH on April 16, 1872, in Fryburg, Pusheta Township, Auglaize County, Ohio Census, Pusheta Township, Auglaize County, Ohio, shows Catherine WARMUTH was the oldest of her siblings. He was the fifth of six known children born to John BRUNN and Catherine KLIPFEL. Andrew Anthony BRUNN married Regina KRESS on June 23, 1868 in Auglaize County, Ohio. Regina KRESS was the daughter of and Anna (or Regina?) KRESS. Witnesses at their wedding were John Brunn, Michael Warmuth, Barbara Wehner, and Elizabeth Seifert. [Note: Assume Barbara Wehner is Anthony's cousin Barbara, daughter of Joseph Wehner and Margaret Klüpfel.] In the 1880 Census, Andrew and Regina (KRESS) BRUNN were living in the Village of Dingsmansburg, Clinton Township, Shelby County, Ohio. Andrew BRUNN was a farmer. One source says Regina (KRESS) BRUNN died on February 20, 1880, but she is listed in the 1880 Census, taken on June 21, There are also records of children born in 1882 and Andrew Brunn's second marriage was in 1888 or It is likely that Regina (KRESS) BRUNN died between November 1885 and early Andrew Anthony BRUNN died of chronic myocarditis (inflammation of the heart), at the age of 87, on January 22, 1936, in Shelby County, Ohio. He is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Sidney, Ohio Census, Clinton Township, Shelby County The BRUNN family includes: Andy, 32: Rachena (Regina), 32: John, 10; Alfred, 8; Lizzie, 6; Annie, 4; Frank, 2; Charles, 1; and Anna CRESS, 75, who is listed as Daughter, but clearly this is Regina BRUNNS s mother. The date on this census was June 21, From the 1900 census, below, it appears Regina (KRESS) BRUNN had two more children after 1880, which means she could not have died in Census, Clinton Township, Shelby County Andrew BRUNN with his 2nd wife, Mary, with a daughter (Leona) born in It lists 11 under Number of Years Married, which means they were married in 1888 or BRUNN_KLIPFEL Page 9
