He has taught at Butler and Cornell universities, and for the year holds a grant-in-aid from the Institute of Early American History and Culture. WILLIAM G. SOLER, a teacher of English at the Central High School of Philadelphia, is completing his doctorate at Temple University. He is studying the "Seventeenth- and Eighteenth-Century Literary and Philosophical Influences upon John Dickinson: Chiefly Bacon, Locke, and Pope." MARTIN P.
