3 GREATER DAYTON CORVETTE CLUB (GDCC) Minutes December 15, 2010 President Freddie Haugh called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. Thirty-eight members were present. ANNOUNCEMENTS/GUESTS Guests Mike and Judy Smith, owners of a Red 92 were welcomed to the meeting. SECRETARY S REPORT Kitty Moorhead moved the minutes from the November meeting be accepted as written. Seconded by Pat Frymyer. TREASURER S REPORT Beginning Balance $3, Expenses Income 1, Ending Balance $4, VICE PRESIDENT S REPORT Don Pennell received a letter from the National Corvette Museum thanking GDCC for our contribution of $ to the Wounded Warrior program. Don indicated that Buds Chevrolet beginning in December is contributing $ monthly to advertise in our newsletter and on the GDCC website. Don suggested that since we are a non-profit organization and we have money in our treasury that we consider giving money to organizations. In the past, GDCC has given to Miamisburg Helping Hands, Artemis House, Fisher House, St. Paul South Park neighborhood, and East Dayton Food Pantry. Jan Christian requested that Interfaith Hospitality Network be considered for a donation. This organization runs out of a downtown Xenia hotel and helps displaced families in Greene and Montgomery counties obtains jobs and housing. The following organizations were approved by majority vote to receive money: Artemis House: $ Fisher House: $ East Dayton Food Pantry: $ Interfaith Hospitality Network: $500.00

4 PRESIDENT S REPORT Freddie stated that she received a thank you card from Kitty Moorhead for the clubs donation and the cards she received for the passing of Steve. Freddie thanked Jerry and Jill Schlatter for hosting the Christmas party. The turnout was great and the food was delicious. Freddie also received a note from Boris Tirpack thanking club members for remembering Retha. She enjoys receiving cards. COMMITTEE REPORTS SOCIAL Marsha Woolery recapped the following: February 6: Super Bowl party at Bob and Freddie Haugh. More information to follow. February 20: Daytona party at Mark and Connie Shank. More information to follow. Marsha circulated a paper for suggestions of what GDCC could do in She also thanked Jerry and Jill Schlatter for hosting the Christmas party. MEMBERSHIP Judy Smith reported that we have 95 members. PUBLIC RELATIONS No report NEWSLETTER No report. NCM AMBASSADOR No report WEBMASTER Bruce Richenbach requested help in determining what should be published in the members only section and the public site. He stated that hackers can get information by scanning for private data and that he should not be the one to decide what goes where. Tom Murph suggested that the E-Board get together to help Bruce in this area. This information will then be presented at the January meeting. Freddie will schedule a meeting sometime after the first of the year. OLD BUSINESS

5 Don Pennell reported on the results of the officer elections. The following persons were approved as officers for 2011: President: Freddie Haugh Vice President: Dave First Secretary: Terri Kopa Treasurer: Herb Smith Freddie stated that she appreciated the votes and for voting her back in as President. Rusty Myers provided CDs to the members who participated in the photo shoot at Carillon Park. The CD contains many pictures from the photo shoot. NEW BUSINESS Sharon Pennell asked if there was interest in going to Amish Country in the spring. Consensus was that many members would like to do the trip. Sharon will put something together and provide more information at a future meeting. Michele Bauer suggested that at the January or February meeting the club discuss donating clothes to Clothes That Work. This organization provides clothes to persons going out on interviews to make a good impression when applying for jobs. 50/50 Drawing won by guest Judy Smith: $34.00 Meeting Adjourned.
