13 Car-Vettes Here we are into a new year of fun and frolic. Being able to do so as a Moslah Shriner is just great, isn t it? We Car-ve es want to congratulate the new Divan and especially our new Potentate Phil Trew, as well as our new Oriental Guide Gerald Ledbe er. Looks like it s gonna be another great year with that lineup! As the weather starts warming up and we are outdoors more, it s me to start planning for some of this year s parades and events such as TSA in Waco and the Texas State Motor Patrol Assn. (TSMPA) obstacle course in Tyler. That usually means making sure our cars that are actually going to perform are tuned and in p-top shape, cleaned and spiffed up. We did have a couple of small problems with a couple of the li le cars during recent parades, but we will get them worked out ASAP. It just takes a li le me, effort and money. Drill prac ces will start as soon as Colonel Cecil is ready and the members are willing! Of course, anyone interested is welcome to come out and watch as we do our thing. You just might get a few laughs also! You fellow nobles, we all wear our fez proudly because we know what we and our hospitals do for so many kids. The stronger the Shrine is, the be er jobs the hospitals can do and the more money they have to do it. By stronger Shrine, I mean ac ve members and new members; both are needed to really make things happen on the street corners, store fronts and our own circus. How about those deserving friends that you know? Wouldn t it be great if each one of us could/would sign up at least one new member this year? Yeah... just one, think about it. Your Car-ve es are organizing new events and ge ng the cars ready for another year of new fun Shriner experiences. Between the parades we do, the various Shrine ac vi es we support, our unit events and the working together to establish and achieve our goals, we just may be a li le busy this new year... we sure do hope so, come on out and help us if you want! Hey guys... if you are looking to join a unit that will give you a BIG return on camaraderie and fun, look no further. The Car-ve es is the one for YOU! If any Noble is wondering about joining our unit and would like to test drive one of our super classy li le yellow cars (pictured above), all you have to do is let us know. You can contact President R. J. Forester at , Colonel Cecil LeMond at , or really, any of our members. We are a VERY proud bunch of fellas and will be happy to talk to you about our unit. Chuck Huddleston, Car-Ve es Mystic Wheels Hello and Happy New Year! The Mys c Wheels have just completed our planning mee ng for the year and have a lot of ac vi es on the calendar. We had our first maintenance day and engine start-up of the year in early January. Nice weather and it was sure great to take that first ride of the year! And of course, no start-up day is complete without breakfast and eggs over Weezy... great me. The Mys c Wheels want to thank Illustrious Sir Harold Benefield for a job well done in Please come see us any me you like. We are also ready to offer our service and support to Illustrious Sir Phil Trew. Just let us know what we can do to help. February will bring our Yacht Club cruise on Valen ne s Day. We expect a big crowd for this first voyage of the year... be sure to watch for more details. Visit our Facebook Page for even more details of events and videos of our drill teams. Hey Moslah Nobles, are you and your Lady looking for a unit home? Well, check us out! You will find we are a familyoriented group with the ladies and kids (and grandkids) at all our events! We ride inexpensive, tradi onal, open wheel go karts that are a complete blast to drive. In addi on, we are involved in all temple and blue lodge ac vi es. Call Bob Roth , Sonny Francks or Bre Wiesner , for informa on and a visit. Come see why so many Nobles have made us their unit home! S ll the LARGEST and friendliest motorized unit in Texas!
