1 J E S U S Greatest Name 5: Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9: Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11: And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2 :5 11 [KJV] Since Jesus is the greatest name in the universe, by the will of the Father; there should be some undeniable evidence to substantiate this fact. God the Father has provided us with this evidence in the latter part of the twentieth century. Using three unrelated historical facts, the name of Jesus can be shown to be quite unique and embedded in our news papers and

2 other communication media. Once you see Jesus name clearly displayed the question that comes to mind is obvious. Was the placing of this name of man or outside the power of man? After realizing that man does not have the power to orchestrate this amazing feat, we should listen to this person called Jesus. Let s analyze this extraordinary, wonderful act of God. First let s see if we can agree to the truth of three historical facts. The first fact concerns the Greeks. About three thousand B.C. did the Greeks develop an alphabet system that related to numbers? Does each Greek letter relate to a numerical value? A little research will attest to this fact. The first Greek letter is alpha and the last letter is omega. The value of alpha is one ( 1 ), the value of omega is eight hundred ( 800 ). The second historical fact without question cannot be denied. There is a collection of books bound together that is known as the Bible. The last book of this collection is called Revelation. In this book we find in chapter one verse eight : Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. [ KJV ] After reading the verses below, there should not be any question who the verse above is referring. Acts 1:11 Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. 3 Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. [ KJV ] Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. [ KJV ] You don t have to agree with the truth of this book, but you would have to lie to yourself to deny that these words are in this historical book called the Bible. The third historical fact is relatively new. In 1966 the telephone industry introduced a new communication concept. This year was the beginning of free telephone service. With the introduction of a new telephone area code, toll-free telephone service began. By dialing one ( 1 ) and eight hundred ( 800 ) plus seven additional numbers you would be connected to the party that will pay for the call. This was a great innovation for businesses. An amazing fact about this toll-free system is the second toll-free area code. In 1996 about thirty years after the first area code was introduced, the amazing number 888 was introduced as the second toll-free area code. Alone these historical facts are of little consequence, but together we see a wonderful, fantastic, powerful message. Page 3

8 9. According to the written words in the Bible, JESUS and John were together only once after their birth. 10. I believe this was the greatest scene recorded in the Bible. 9 R a p t u r e ? Did our loving heavenly Father give us a warning in the Holy Scriptures as the time of JESUS' return approaches? Let me point out a few scriptures before I present some food for thought. In the book of Daniel we read in chapter twelve, verse four: But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. Daniel 12:8-9 reads: And I heard, but understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, Go thy way Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. When JESUS was asked about the future it still was not time for God to reveal His plans. We read in Matthew 24:36 : But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Again in the book of Acts, JESUS is quoted. 11 Facts About The Toll-Free Area Code System 1. Before we had a telephone system, Jesus said that he was Alpha[1] and Omega[800]. 2. You must dial 1[ Alpha ] and 800 [Omega ] to dial one of the first toll-free numbers. Since Alpha is 1 and Lord adds to 800, Jesus is also saying that he is the One Lord. 11. Ephesians 4 : 5 " One Lord, one faith, one baptism." 12. Ephesians 4 : 6 " One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." A separation resulted between man and God once Adam sinned. SIN BECAME THE GULF BETWEEN MAN AND GOD Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned ( NIV ) All descendants of Adam are born sinners. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; [ KJV ] Our destiny was eternal separation from our Heavenly Father. 13 Because of His love, our Creator provided a way back to Him. ALMIGHTY GOD PROVIDED A BRIDGE FOR MAN. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [ KJV ] JESUS BECAME THE BRIDGE TO THE FATHER Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [ KJV ] THE BRIDGE TO GOD IS TOLL-FREE Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. [ KJV ] Jesus is the only way to the Father, the only BRIDGE John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [ KJV ] Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. [ KJV ] We cross the BRIDGE by confession of our faith in the way to God.
