Many players across the NFL took to social media on Sunday morning to remember the 15th anniversary of 9/11. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was one of the several dozen players who took time to remember the almost 3,000 people that were lost on Sept. 11, /7

4 For some players, like Colts punter Pat McAfee, Twitter didn't offer enough room to remember 9/11, so he took to Instagram. patmcafeeshow 1 month ago It's been 15 years since we saw first hand how America responds in a time of national crisis.. 1st responders sprinted into harms way in hopes of saving lives.. Young men and women across the country couldn't sign up for the military fast enough.. The heroes who were already enlisted, were eager to put boots on the ground in hostile land to bring some sort of vengeance to whoever attacked us.. Every citizen of our county had a sense of pride and unity for America.. Everybody was all in for one thing, eachother... 9/11 was an absolutely horrible day, we lost a lot of amazing Americans on that day and in the years that would come, we went to a war that still has yet to be finished.. I was 14 years old, and in the middle of all that negativity, what 9/11 did for me, was prove without a doubt, that America is the greatest country on earth.. Everybody had everybody's back.. Neighbor's who never talked to us came out and chatted.. Foes became friends.. We all FINALLY realized that we had something very obvious in common.. We're all in this together.. We were then.. And we are now.. It was a beautiful response, to an ugly act.. That's what I'll #NeverForget.. Today, just like everyday, I thank the heroic men and women of our military and our real life superhero first responders.. Without you all, I understand that life would be much much different.. One of those games sites is in New York, where the Jets will be hosting the Bengals. The Bengals actually visited Ground Zero on Saturday before their game with the Jets.
