1 The Modern- day Jezebel: Mrs. Cristina V. Manalo Part 1 For all our readers, we inform you that this blog post of ours might be difficult to read and internalize. However, we are concentrating on the spiritual welfare of the Church of Christ and it's nearing day of salvation so we cannot keep our mouths shut. Though many may be affected by what the Church is going through today, most assuredly the one most affected and most hurt is the Executive Minister, brother Eduardo V. Manalo. "It pains me to do this, but it is my responsibility to God that the first that should be loved and cared for is the welfare of the Church and that it should be preserved completely in remaining united." - BROTHER EDUARDO V. MANALO, Executive Minister of the Church of Christ The enemies of our faith have defamed the wife of the Executive Minister and call her by a new name. Despite her staying away from all the commotion, her image has been tainted by them. As a response to this, we the true Christians in the Church are constantly praying for the household of the brother Eduardo V. Manalo in congregational worship services and in our personal prayers. This is the reason why we cannot allow the enemies of our faith to continue to slander their family and especially sister Babylyn Manalo. The enemies of our faith are calling sister Babylyn the "modern- day Jezebel" and accusing her of being the reason for all the things going "wrong" today to the Church. This is very hurtful to our ears. History describes Jezebel as a very horrible woman that suffered a gruesome death. She was a foreigner in the land of Israel and became the wife of King Ahab out of political interest. She worshiped the idols of Baal and Ashera which is a pagan practice. Jezebel is known for creating such a

2 heavy ordeal and caused division within the nation in the Old Testament. She also influenced and encouraged God's servants to violate His teachings (Rev. 2:20). Even her influence on King Ahab was so great that she meddled in his affairs and decisions and led him to murder innocent people (I Kings 21: 6-14) and prophets (I Kings 18:4) during their time. Because of her wickedness, the almighty God cursed her through the prophet Elijah (II Kings 9:35-36). A general by the name of Jehu was tasked by the prophets to kill Jezebel. When Jehu went to where Jezebel was, she pun paint on her eyes and fixed her hair and tried to flee through a window. To carry out his mission, he ordered his three eunuchs to push her out and they did (II Kings 9:30-33). She fell to her death and was trampled and eaten by beasts and only her skull, feet, and the palm of her hands were found. That was the end of Jezebel and the fulfillment of Elijah's prophecy.

3 Examine and take note of the history of Jezebel and ask yourself if this name is worthy to be called unto sister Babylyn Manalo, the wife of our beloved Executive Minister. Brethren, we are aware that many of you become sensitive and want to ask many questions when the topic of discussion is Mrs. Tenny Manalo. And many of you would never think of and cannot accept that she would do such terrible sins. However, the true members of the Church of Christ who always put their love and reverence for God and their election first before anything can easily and quickly understand these things. Sister Babylyn Manalo should not be called Jezebel. Instead, this name should be attributed to Mrs. Cristina "Tenny" Manalo because of similarities with Jezebel. 1. Just like Jezebel, Mrs. Tenny has caused a great ordeal within the Church by causing division. 2. Just like Jezebel, Mrs. Tenny has influenced and encouraged members of the Church, God's people, to violate His commands through her video posted on YouTube. 3. Just like Jezebel, Mrs. Tenny meddled in the business of the administration of brother Eduardo V. Manalo by intercepting and replying to letters regarding ordination of regular evangelical workers. 4. Just like Jezebel, Mrs. Tenny also meddled in the business of the administration of brother Eduardo V. Manalo by intercepting and replying to letters regarding ministers and evangelical workers, who have been disciplined due to their violations, who are hoping to return to their office. 5. Just like Jezebel, Mrs. Tenny meddled in the decision making and works of the Executive Minister by refusing to submit and leading others in asking for help because they claimed to be in danger.

4 6. Just like Jezebel, Mrs. Tenny killed the spirit of many ministers and evangelical workers by causing to rebel and get expelled for the Church. Comparable to how Jezebel succeeded in getting innocent people and prophets killed during her time. 7. Just like Jezebel, God punished Mrs. Tenny by expelling her from the Church of Christ. 8. Just like Jezebel, Mrs. Tenny's "call for help" caused many members to rebel against and violate the teachings of God. In conclusion, we can discern who the real modern- day Jezebel is. It is Mrs. Cristina "Tenny" Manalo and not, and never will be, sister Babylyn V. Manalo.

5 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. Revelation 2:20 NKJV He said to her, Because I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite, and said to him, Give me your vineyard for money; or else, if it pleases you, I will give you another vineyard for it. And he answered, I will not give you my vineyard. Then Jezebel his wife said to him, You now exercise authority over Israel! Arise, eat food, and let your heart be cheerful; I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite. And she wrote letters in Ahab s name, sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters to the elders and the nobles who were dwelling in the city with Naboth. She wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and seat Naboth with high honor among the people; and seat two men, scoundrels, before him to bear witness against him, saying, You have blasphemed God and the king. Then take him out, and stone him, that he may die. So the men of his city, the elders and nobles who

6 were inhabitants of his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, as it was written in the letters which she had sent to them. They proclaimed a fast, and seated Naboth with high honor among the people. And two men, scoundrels, came in and sat before him; and the scoundrels witnessed against him, against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth has blasphemed God and the king! Then they took him outside the city and stoned him with stones, so that he died. Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth has been stoned and is dead. I Kings 21:6-14 NKJV For so it was, while Jezebel massacred the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah had taken one hundred prophets and hidden them, fifty to a cave, and had fed them with bread and water.) Then, as Jehu entered at the gate, she said, Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of your master? And he looked up at the window, and said, Who is on my side? Who? So two or three eunuchs looked out at him. Then he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down, and some of her blood spattered on the wall and on the horses; and he trampled her underfoot.
