This is the greatest thing in the world we have to be thankful for. God shall supply your every need. 1 Timothy 6:8 And having food and clothing let us be with these things content. 1

2 A Study in the Book of Galatians Chapter Six (6) Let us not forget what caused the Apostle Paul to write this letter. It was because some false teachers had come in during his absence and led the people astray with some false teaching. They had taught them that you must obey the law of Moses if you were going to be saved. All the way through his letter to them Paul has explained that this is not so. He tells them: Gal. 3:26 For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 4:28,31 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. 31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bond-woman, but of the free. 5:24-25 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Those who are not led astray are instructed to help those who were. This kind of help should prevail in any kind of temptation that might cause a brother to fall by the wayside. V,1. Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted. He further instructs them: V,2. Bear you one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. The Law of Christ is to: love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD. Leviticus 19:18. When asked, Jesus said this about loving your neighbor: Matthew 22:36-40 Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? 37. Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38. This is the first and great commandment. 39. And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. V,3. For if a man thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. This should caution all Christians to examine ourselves to make sure we have been born again and have the Spirit of God living within us. And also, that our trust is in Jesus Christ and not in the things we might do for our salvation. Paul continues: V,4. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. V,5. For every man shall bear his own burden. When a person looks at his own life and knows that all is well between him and God, he has this peace within himself. You can handle just about anything when you have that close relationship. V,6. Let him that is taught in the word share with him that teaches in all good things. The new Christian must be taught the truths about the Word of God. He or she should love the teacher and share the blessings that come because of their relationship. V,7. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. We must all understand that God sees and knows everything about us. He is our Creator and He loves us enough that He gave His only begotten Son as a sacrifice for the atonement of our sins. He wants us to love Him and be obedient to His will for our lives. If we do not do that, we will suffer the loss of His blessings. We will be rewarded according to our works. 1 Cor. 3:11-15 For no other foundation can a man lay than what is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 2

3 12. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13. Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall test every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he has built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. V,8. For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. V,9. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. The above passage in 1 Cor. 3:11-15 pretty well defines the statements made in verses eight and nine above. V,10. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. God wants us to love the souls of all men. We are taught this throughout the scriptures. We may not love the actions of all people but we should have the desire to see them turn from some of their ways and be saved. We are commanded to especially do good to those of the Christian faith. V,11. You see with what large letters I have written unto you with my own hand. Many Bible commentators have commented on this verse as though the Apostle Paul had poor eyesight. That could very well be the case. It seems that most of his letters were penned by his companions. Some examples are the post script to the book of Romans. It states: Written to the Romans from Corinthus and sent by Phebe, servant of the church at Cenchrea. Of course, in the text it states: Rom. 16:22 I, Tertius, who wrote this epistle, salute you in the Lord. The post script at the end of the book of Ephesians states: Written from Rome unto the Ephesians by Tychicus. The reader can look at the end of each of his letters in the older King James version and get the idea. Most versions of the Bible omit of the post scripts. It is believed that Paul wrote the letter to the Galatians himself because he states that he used very large letters. Evidently he did so because of his poor eyesight. V,12. As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. This comment is no doubt made because some preachers of that day wanted to be heard and recognized, yet they are weak and afraid of persecution. They will go along with the Jews who compel the believers to keep the law of circumcision even though God does not command that. V,13. For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. This is usually the case where the works of the law are taught to be kept. In most cases the ones who teach that do not keep the whole law themselves. James commented on that. James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. V,14. But God forbid that I should glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. V, 15. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. (Must be born again). V,16. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. 3

4 V,17. From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. Just listen to Paul praise God because he is not under the law but under grace. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord...Rom. 7:25 Eph. 2:8-10 For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9. Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. 2 Cor. 11:23-27 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in l a b o r s more abundant, in stripes beyond measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths often. 24. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes less one. 25. Three times was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, three times I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26. In journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by my own countrymen, in perils by the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among f a l s e brethren; In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. Verses In Damascus the g o v e r n o r under Aretas the king guarded the city of Damascus with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me: And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands. This completes our study of the book of Galatians. It is hoped that you have enjoyed the study. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. V,18. Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. 4

5 THE EVIL BEASTS OF REVELATION A GREAT WONDER IN HEAVEN Part three (3) Last month as we concluded our study we were looking at the scarlet colored beast of Rev. 17:1-18. The last statement that was made was that the 10 nations would destroy Babylon. We found that the beast represents the devil himself. The woman represents the city of Babylon which we believe is the present day city of Baghdad Iraq. The 10 horns represent 10 nations with their kings that will serve under the antichrist and will attack Israel in the middle of the tribulation period. These 10 nations will turn against the Babylonian leadership of the False Prophet when the antichrist is revealed that he is not their god. During the last half of the tribulation period they will then declare war on Babylon and destroy the city. Revelation 17:16-18 And the ten horns which you saw upon the beast, these shall hate the harlot, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17. For God has put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. 18. And the woman whom you saw is that great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth. Very near the end of the last half of the tribulation period a nuclear bomb will destroy Babylon. Revelation 18:1-18 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was made bright with his glory. 2. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of demons, and the haunt of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich through the abundance of her luxury. 4. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues. 5. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. 6. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she has filled, fill to her double. 7. So much as she has glorified herself, and lived luxuriously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she says in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 8. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judges her. 9. And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived in luxury with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, 10. Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is your judgment come. 11. And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buys their merchandise any more: 12. The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all citron wood, and all manner of vessels of ivory, and all manner of vessels of most precious wood, and of bronze, and iron, and marble, 13. And cinnamon, and incense, and myrrh, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and cattle, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. 14. And the fruits that your soul lusted after are departed from you, and all things which were luxurious and splendid are departed from you, and you shall find them no more at all. 5

6 15. The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, 16. And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! 17. For in one hour such great riches is come to nothing. And every shipmaster, and all seafarers, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, 18. And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! All nations will then make an effort to destroy Israel. Their move against Jerusalem will be the beginning of the Battle of Armageddon. This is the point of the coming of Christ in glory. This coming is described as The coming of Christ with His saints. God has it all planned and described in the Bible. Zech. 14:2-5 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses plundered, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3. Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 4. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall split in two, toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall move toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5. And you shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, you shall flee, like as you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with him. John describes this as the last battle to be fought before Jesus begins His Millennial Reign. Rev. 19:11-21 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon it was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he does judge and make war. 12. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13. And He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. That s all His saints who were saved in this life and raptured to heaven at the coming of Christ for His saints; and also all those who were saved during the tribulation period.) 15. And out of his mouth goes forth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16. And he has on his robe and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. 17. And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in midheaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18. That you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great. 19. And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that worked miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the 6

7 mark of the beast, and them that worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21. And the rest were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh. The final war before the Millennial Kingdom of Christ is the Battle of Armageddon. * * * * * * * You must be born again John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. When Jesus spoke these words to Nicodemus, He was sharing with the world that all were sinners and needed to be saved. All human beings have a sinful nature (Rom. 3:23) and that nature cannot go to heaven. All human beings have an eternal spirit that must experience a change. In other words, you must have another birth a spiritual birth. This birth comes from God. Therefore, when you experience this new birth you have a new Father God. To receive this new birth you must accept the sacrifice God made for the forgiveness of sins: That of His Son on the Cross of Calvary. When you accept that, you are born of God. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 1 John 5:1 Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and everyone that loves him that begat loves him also that is begotten of him. John 3:36 He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him. Romans 10:9-10 That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, 10. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
