4 NOTICE OF BY-ELECTION TO ALL MOOSE CREE FIRST NATION ELIGIBLE VOTERS The Moose Cree First Nation has four (4) vacancies for Councillor positions. Resignations were submitted by Nellie Trapper effective August 18, 2018; Katherine Faries-Quachegan effective August 28, 2018; Christina Wynne effective September 1, 2018; and Kane Faries removed from Council effective August 23, Therefore, a By-election shall be held to fill the vacant Councillor positions. ELIIGIBILITY FOR COUNCILLOR POSITION Candidates for the position of Councillor must: (a) be Members of the Moose Cree First Nation; and (b) if they do not ordinarily reside in Moosonee or Moose Factory, undertake in writing to Relocate to Moose Factory or Moosonee within 3 months of being elected to a position; and (c) be at least 18 years of age at the time of nomination. NOMINATION PROCEDURE Candidates shall be nominated through the completion of a Nomination Form as prescribed in Schedule 1 of the MCFN Election Regulations. The Chief Electoral Officer may be contacted by any Voter in person, by telephone, by , or by Canada Post to obtain a Nomination Form. A Nomination Meeting is not required for By-elections.
