3 A Vision For Unity Written By: Rev. Leslie Buckner, Founder & President of Bible Way Association Psa 133:1-3 A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (2) It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; (3) As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. Part of the original vision God gave me so long ago, was one of unity. Unity is essential within the Body of Christ, and in many instances is lacking. We must not forget that the Lord will return for a Body, a unit built together and operating in unison. Each part supplying a part for the operation of the whole Body. When the Lord began to deal with me he showed me a group of ministers operating in unity and seeing a move of God spread across the world. We need to get a vision in the church again for real unity. Today it is very important that we understand the principles of unity and allow that unity to operate within the precious Body of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Eph 4:11-16 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; (12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: (13) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: (14) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; (15) But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: (16) From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. Notice that the ministry is given to the church for the purpose of perfecting of the saints, the work for the ministry, and the edifying of the Body of Christ, TILL WE ALL COME IN THE UNITY OF THE FAITH! The unity we are working towards is the unity of THE faith, not a faith. The word faith is used for many differing meanings in today s world, however we must understand that the unity we need is in The faith. 2Pe 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: Jud 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. What is that faith then that we are to be united in? 1Jn 5:4-5 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. (5) Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? The faith that overcomes is the faith that is in Jesus the Son of God. It is upon this faith that the Lord declares he will build His church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Mathew 16:15-19) Now this faith will lead us into the knowledge of the Son of God, and that light of knowledge changes us into the image of the Son of God. It brings us into a Body that is fitly joined together, operating in unity and accomplishing the will of God. Those of like precious faith united together with Christ as the head produce a glorious church. The church must have the glory shining in the dark hour we are living in.

4 Light Has No Fellowship With Darkness Let us consider the following scriptures: 1Jn 1:5-7 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. (6) If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: (7) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 2Co 6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? (15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? (16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (17) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, (18) And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Eph 5:11-14 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. (12) For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. (13) But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. (14) Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. First we see that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. Our life as a born again child of God is to walk in the light, as He is in the light. Light and darkness cannot be in fellowship and unity. Many have compromised the truth for the sake of unity, but it cannot be. We have to come out from among the darkness of this present world and walk in the light, then we have fellowship one with another. Not just natural fellowship over dinner or refreshments, I am talking about real spiritual fellowship and a unity that allows the anointing to flow and cover the entire Body. It is time for the church to quit petting sin and unite against sin. Light reproves the darkness. And we are instructed to have NO fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. The unity of the faith and the unity of the spirit bring the church into a place of blessing. Remember, Ps133:3,...there the Lord commanded the blessing. When the church comes together with one heart and one soul and in one accord, we will see the power flow and a move of God that will set the captive free, and bind up those that are broken hearted. Eph 2:13-22 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. (14) For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; (15) Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; (16) And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: (17) And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. (18) For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. (19) Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; (20) And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; (21) In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: (22) In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. Christ breaks down walls of partitions and calls to himself a people that will love righteousness and hate iniquity. Those people fitly framed together become a holy temple for God to inhabit by His mighty Spirit. There is so much out there today that is false, we must not allow ourselves to be joined with anything other that those of like precious faith. The faith once delivered to the saints through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. However, there is a move of God beginning of those who will unite to seek out the old paths and the good way, and walk therein. Walking together in the unity of this faith, we can and will see God s Spirit move wonderfully and miraculously in these last days. In closing let us all consider this teaching and unify ourselves in the fellowship of the Word of God and be a people that will not compromise but stand strong for the Word of God, and the power of the Holy Ghost that this nation and the world so desperately need right now. Together, those walking in the light will make a impact on this generation, and see a outpour of the Spirit.

The Voice of Truth is part of the original vision God gave our Founder Rev. Leslie Buckner. God showed him a voice that would reach around the world touching souls and changing lives. In the past few years The Voice of Truth has been doing just that through audio and video messages and services being sent literally around the globe. Unfortunately, during the past few months donations to this ministry have been lower and not been enough to keep up with the rising costs of producing these messages. Unless we add new partners and our current partners help, we will be forced to downsize dramatically. We do not feel this is God s will as we are in a critical time for our nation and for the entire world. Please join with us as we attempt to proclaim the Gospel to the world. We are endeavoring to build a work for the Lord in Doe Run, Mo. Pastors James & Estlee Kelley have been working in the church and community to see a fruitful church established, and been doing a wonderful job. There has been much repair work done to the church. They have a small congregation coming to the church now, and after much prayer we feel like it is time to hold a special revival at the church in the month of October. The vision for this revival is that all of the Bible Way churches and those in fellowship with Bible Way would come together and help boost the church and make it s presence known in the community, seeing souls saved and lives touched and letting God move by His Spirit. The dates will be as follows: October 4-10, 2009, possibly longer if the Lord leads. We are planning to set up a tent on the churches lot, and let God move in a mighty way. There will be various ministers each night, so make plans to come and

6 Bible Way Association s Camp Ground Improvement Plan Keepers of The Camp Keepers of the Camp is a program we started as a way for those who see the value of the Camp Meetings and functions we hold every year on the Camp Grounds, and want to partner with us to help keep the grounds up and running. We know that times are hard for many people and we sincerely appreciate all of your gifts and donations to help us keep the camp grounds going. By partnering with us you are helping us to reach souls for Christ and see lives changed by the power of God. Countless numbers of people have been saved, healed, delivered, and filled with the Holy Ghost here on the Bible Way Camp Grounds. We are so glad to be able to have these grounds open each year as a place of revival, renewal, and restoration. People from all walks of life attend camps and youth camps here and we see God touch mightily each and every time. God is so Good!!! I would ask that each church, ministry, and individual would first of all pray for us and the Camp Department of Bible Way Association. We are facing challenges of all sorts but God always supplies the needs. Secondly, pray about getting involved with the Camp Department. The first and foremost way to be involved is simply to mark your calendars for the functions held on the Camp Grounds, and make plans to attend. It is impossible to put into words all that God does during Camp Meeting so let me just say, Come and See! Another way to get involved is to volunteer time and labor on the grounds, helping us to bear the tremendous load of keeping everything running smoothly and in good working order. Last but not least, we could not keep the grounds going without the generous support we receive from our partners. Both financial donations and materials donated are such a blessing and allow us to maintain the grounds. If you are not yet a Keeper of the Camp partner please consider becoming one today. Overseer WE APPRECIATE YOU! We would like to express our thanks and appreciation for all of the volunteers we have had this year. It has been so moving to watch so many come together to help on the grounds, and with the meetings. Many came earlier this year to help us cleanup from the ice storm, and fix busted water lines. Others volunteered during the camps in the kitchen, for maintenance work, or cleanup. We are so thankful to all of you. We also had a lot of equipment donated to the camp grounds this year, and it is making things run so much smoother. We appreciate all who have given in this manner. We also appreciate everyone who got on board with the food donations. It was a great blessing to see all of the food that was donated and it helped bring the cost of camp down this year. Others have given financially and for that we are so grateful. It is wonderful to be a part of such a loving and giving group of ministers and churches. 7 A Letter To Bible Way Ministers! Dear Bible Way Minister, We are so glad to be able to be fellow laborers with each of you as we all work together to see lives forever changed by the ministry of the precious Word of God. We are in perilous times, and no doubt many are giving up and turning aside. We are in a generation that is wicked and perverse, and we know that some are growing weary in the fight. This is why I am writing you today. Bible Way Association was founded upon the Word of God and a vision. That vision was one of ministers of like precious faith in our Lord Jesus Christ coming together in unity to see a move of God. As ministers of this organization we pray that you see the importance of fellowship and unity in the hour we are living in. We must base our every thought and action on what God is doing in these last days. What is God s plan for His church? As mentioned in the message in this issue, His plan is one of a Body fitly framed together, growing into the fullness of the measure of the stature of Christ. Christ s plan for His church is to present it to himself a glorious church not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing. However, we see a ongoing problem in many of today s churches. This problem is one of lack of interest in fellowship, and working together as a Body. Many have the stubborn mentality, it s me and my three, so just let us be! This is a really sad place for the church and it s ministers to get to. We are a body, and the scriptures deal with division in the body very clearly: 1Co 12:12-26 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. (13) For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (14) For the body is not one member, but many. (15) If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? (16) And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? (17) If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? (18) But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. (19) And if they were all one member, where were the body? (20) But now are they many members, yet but one body. (21) And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. (22) Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: (23) And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. (24) For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: (25) That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. (26) And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. As members of the Body of Christ we each have a job to do, but we all must be involved for the Body to operate properly. On another level, as members of Bible Way Association we must be involved. Bible Way was never built to be a credential dispenser, but rather a group of those seeing eye to eye and working together to see souls saved and lives changed. As a young minister starting in this organization I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that God placed me in this body. I was excited to see the Spirit of God moving in a great way, and to be in fellowship with so many great men and women of God. However, I must confess, in the past few years I have seen a falling away of interest in the activities and functions in Bible Way Association. This has grieved my heart. When credentialed with Bible Way there are some things you can expect from your headquarters: 1. A stand for the Word of God 2. Sound Doctrine 3. Biblical teaching and training for ministry 4. Credentials for ministry 5. Help in times of need 6. Prayer support 7. Godly and Christ-like leadership As each ministers application for credentials states, we expect in turn from our ministers, 1. Maintaining a good standard of Christian living being of good report within and without. 2. Attendance to at least one of the yearly Camp Meetings and the April General Assembly. 3. Be on time with financial obligations Despite ongoing efforts to stir our ministers to come to Camp, and attend Bible Way functions, there are yet many ministers that have never been to the Camp Grounds. This should not be. How can we truly be a part of something without fellowship and how can we be united with virtually no relationship between minister and Headquarters? One part of the vision for Camp Meeting is to minister to ministers. All ministers reach a point when they need to get away and be refreshed and renewed in the presence of the Almighty God. We strive year after year to provide these Camp Meetings where the power of God moves greatly and ministers can receive from the Lord. We have nice clean facilities available and serve two free meals per day just so people can come without worrying about the expense of hotel rooms and eating out for the week. We believe every Bible Way church should enact a policy of paying their pastors expenses for fuel, and lost wages, (if they have to take off work at a secular job), to send them to Camp Meeting and the General Assembly. 8 We are in a crucial time for the entire world, and there is a great need for a people to rise up in the unity of the faith and of the Spirit, and proclaim the message of truth in this dark hour. These training and fellowship meetings are not only for the young ministers, but for all and we hope that everyone will come and be a part of them. These sessions are open to all regardless of affiliation. THERE WILL BE PLACES TO STAY ON THE GROUNDS. THERE WILL BE REFRESHMENTS AFTER THE FRIDAY EVENING SERVICE AND BREAKFAST ON SATURDAY MORNING. Reminder from Bible Way Association Headquarters Please keep in mind that all tithe and fees for Bible Way Ministers are due by the 15th of each month. If paying annual fees the next years fees are due by Dec 31, Also those paying twice a year the first payment is due by Feb, 15 each year, and the second by June 15th each year. Please check your records and ensure that you are current on your tithing and/or fees to the Association. Also church secretaries, please check your records to ensure that your churches tithing and/or fees are current, and not paid delinquent. Thank you for your attention to these matters, as delinquent income to the Association greatly effects the Association and its ability to meet expenses.

10 Missions Department Rev. Chester Gaither - Overseer Some things in this life are hard to explain and at times it is perplexing to work out the affairs of this life. There are times that the only assurance we have is the fact that God has everything under control. I am in the offices at Doniphan working on the financial status of the Home and Foreign Missions Division of Bible Way Association and decided to open up my heart and share some facts about what is happening as we work together to preach the gospel in all of the world. I have reviewed the records of the income into the Missions Department, including both Home and Foreign Missions and was somewhat disheartened by what I found. The percentage of those giving to Missions in any capacity are as follows: Class One Churches: only 32% of C-1 churches have supported Bible Way Missions Class Two Churches: only 19% of C-2 churches have supported Bible Way Missions Affiliated Churches: 8% Christian Fellowships Int. Churches: 13% Overall this translates to only 17% of all churches chartered or affiliated with Bible Way Association are supporting its Missions Program. Individual support to Missions is even at a lower percentage than that. It is the feeling of some that the tithe of the church or the minister paying tithes means that everyone is giving to missions and thus they have done their part. However, since when has someone given tithes to your church telling you how to use it. The percentage given by Bible Way to this Division is a way for this Association to help support its own Home and Foreign Missions. The amount given to Missions from this source varies greatly as church and minister income changes and thus I hope soon to be able to operate on the offerings taken or gifts given to this Division of Bible Way. I would ask you to look at the lists I gave and see where you place yourself or the church you attend or pastor. I hope you can place yourself in the list of the giving and not just in the list of the belonging. Isolena and I have not been home for over 6 weeks doing ministry in Canada among the First Nation Natives as well as ministering in Bible Way churches in Oregon. We have been promoting Missions and showing that the distance from Doniphan and the few times we fellowship means nothing. We intend to create a body of believers that know they are needed and wanted. It has been our desire for months to go minister in all the countries involved in our missions program. Since we do this on our own funds it is limited and sometimes impossible. Please pray as we plan for the trip to The Republic of Ghana, West Africa during the first week of September as well as a trip in November to the Philippines. I feel it is of great importance that these trips be made. We have been receiving timely reports of the continued efforts to spread the gospel in The Philippines as Bro Pelebello visits churches, performs water baptisms along with work during public events. We say keep up the good work. If things go as planned Bro Rockson, Sis Rockson and Bro Quartey will be here from The Republic of Ghana for the September Camp. We hope you will consider opening doors of ministry for them during the week following Camp. Please contact me concerning this matter. We are praying for the other mission fields that express connections with Bible Way Association and ask that you continue praying for Mexico and our many Home Mission concerns. With united efforts we will spread the Gospel in power and strength and win many for Jesus. Be encouraged, we win.
