We will face many challenges as we deal with reduced budgets, the impact of sequestration and the possibility of operating under a year-long continuing resolution. Your skills, talents, knowledge, experience and positive attitude will be essential as we navigate uncharted fiscal waters. Senior Leaders will be counting on us to provide them the information they need to make tough decisions and relying on us to execute those decisions in accordance with applicable fiscal laws and policies. I have no doubt we will succeed in our mission to support our warfighters. We are dedicated, committed, and focused. It won t be easy, but no one promised us that it would be easy. We are professionals! ASMC Pledge of Professionalism ASMC President Message Be guided in all activities by loyalty to the highest principles always remembering that public office is a public trust. Refrain from activities which are in conflict with the public interest or are discreditable to the Society, and to avoid activities which create the appearance of such conflict. Continuation on Pg 2
2 Page 2 ASMC Troller Newsletter Continuation of AMC President Message Exercise diligence, objectivity and integrity in professional activities, ever aware of the responsibility to eliminate improprieties. Refrain from the transmission or usage, for personal gain or advantage, of information obtained in the professional environment. Carefully earn and continuously protect my reputation for good moral character in comptrollership. Recognize that professional example will influence associates and efficiency. Recommend and initiate methods to enhance productivity and efficiency. Continuously strive to increase my professional knowledge and skills to improve service and value to associates and the Society. Extend the same consideration to the rights and interests of others that I seek for myself. Respect the professionalism of fellow-members and work with them to promote the goals and programs of the Society. Martin Roggio ASMC President Redstone/Huntsville Chapter

7 Volume 17 Issue 15 Page 7 ASMC Executive Board January Meeting Minutes The monthly ASMC Board of Directors meeting was held in Building 5435 conference room, 3 Jan 13. The meeting was called to order at 1100 by President Martin Roggio. Minutes from the Dec 12 board meeting were approved. The following reports were given: Old Business None. New Business Martin Roggio President - We have a recommendation from the cookbook committee on how to repay the chapter for cost of publishing and distribute any profits. Recommendation was tabled until the Feb board meeting. Request member from the cookbook committee attend in order to discuss. - Mini-PDI planning is in progress. It is tentatively scheduled for Wed, Mar 6 th. Due to new rules concerning training/conferences we cannot use the Jackson Center and have to remain within a cost cap. We can use the MWR Recreation Center with breakfast trays and speakers for approximate cost of $5K. Will need GEN Collyar s approval to do so. We are looking at providing training at a lower cost or possibly free due to the new rules.
