Matt. 4:23 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. SH 30:30-32 We cannot choose for ourselves, but must work out our salvation in the way Jesus taught. SH 18:3-5 Jesus of Nazareth taught and demonstrated man s oneness with the Father, and for this we owe him endless homage. SH 25:13-16 Jesus taught the way of Life by demonstration, that we may understand how this divine Principle heals 15 the sick, casts out error, and triumphs over death. Divine oneness Effective triumph SH 42:19-21, 28 The belief that man has existence or mind separate from God is a dying error. This error Jesus met with divine 21 Science and proved its nothingness. Jesus had taught his disciples the Science of this proof. He was here to enable them to 30 test his still uncomprehended saying, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also. They must understand more fully his Life-principle by casting 43:1 out error, healing the sick, and raising the dead, even as they did understand it after his bodily departure. SH 41:28 The truth taught by Jesus, the elders scoffed at. Why? Because it demanded more than they were willing 30 to practise. It was enough for them to believe in a national Deity; but that belief, from their time to ours, has never made a disciple who could cast out evils and heal the sick. SH 43:28 27 The Science Jesus taught and lived must triumph over all material beliefs about life, substance, and intelligence, and the multitudinous errors growing from such 30 beliefs. Scientific man SH 232:19 Jesus never taught that drugs, food, air, and exercise could make a man healthy, or that they could destroy human life; nor did he illustrate these errors by his 21 practice. He referred man s harmony to Mind, not to matter, and never tried to make of none effect the sentence of God, which sealed God s condemnation of sin, 24 sickness, and death. SH 476:32-5 Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal 477:1 man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour 3 saw God s own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick. Thus Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is intact, universal, and that man is pure and holy. SH 12:10 It is neither Science nor Truth which acts through blind belief, nor is it the human understanding of the divine healing Principle as manifested 12 in Jesus, whose humble prayers were deep and conscientious protests of Truth, of man s likeness to 15 God and of man s unity with Truth and Love. SH 110:25 Jesus demonstrated the power of Christian Science to heal mortal minds and bodies. But this power was lost 27 sight of, and must again be spiritually discerned, taught, and demonstrated according to Christ s command, with signs following. 30 Its Science must be apprehended by as many as believe on Christ and spiritually understand Truth. The demonstration lost and found SH 147:6 6 Late in the nineteenth century I demonstrated the divine rules of Christian Science. They were submitted to the broadest practical test, and everywhere, when honestly applied under circumstances where demonstration was hu- 9 manly possible, this Science showed that Truth had lost none of its divine and healing efficacy, even though centuries had passed away since Jesus practised these 12 rules

SH 243:4-9 The divine Love, which made harmless the poisonous viper, which delivered men from the boiling oil, from 6 the fiery furnace, from the jaws of the lion, can heal the sick in every age and triumph over sin and death. It crowned the demonstrations of Jesus with unsurpassed power and 9 love. SH 269:22 21 I therefore plant myself unreservedly on the teachings of Jesus, of his apostles, of 24 the prophets, and on the testimony of the Science of Mind. Other foundations there are none. All other systems systems based wholly or partly on 27 knowledge gained through the material senses are reeds shaken by the wind, not houses built on the rock. SH 472:5-8, 11 The way which leads to Christian Science is straight 6 and narrow.
