In this issue we have our auto tips which are on air conditioning. Time to get ready for summer. We are here to take care of your air conditioning needs. Since picnic time is near we, hope you try Peter s BBQ Ribs. They are delicious and melt in your mouth. We have changed the way we are doing the name that part game. So, that more clients have a chance to win. Also this month you will learn a little more about me and how long I have been here. The book of the month is by my son-n-law, Dustin Beal. It is a useful and humorous book about having kids and still enjoying life. I got a real kick out of reading it. The book also has a lot of good advice for young parents. RECOMMENDED BOOK QUOTE OF THE MONTH COUPONS Auto Tips: Today, as we drive our automobiles, a great many of us, can enjoy the same comfort levels that we are accustomed to at home and at work. With the push of a button or the slide of a lever, we take the seamless transition from heating to cooling and back again without ever wondering how this change occurs. That is, unless something goes awry. Vehicles are found to have primarily three different types of air conditioning systems. While each of the three types differs, the concept and design are very similar to one another. The most common components which make up these automotive systems are the following: COMPRESSOR: Commonly referred to as the heart of the system, the compressor is a belt driven pump that is fastened to the engine. It is responsible for compressing and transferring refrigerant gas. CONDENSER: This is the area in which heat dissipation occurs. EVAPOTATOR: Located inside the vehicle, the evaporator serves as the heat absorption component. ORIFICE: The orifice, either a tube or an expansion valve, is located in the inlet tube of the evaporator, or in the liquid line, somewhere between the outlet of the condenser and the inlet of the evaporator. ACCUMULATOR: Accumulators or driers are used in all systems. It is connected directly to the evaporator outlet and stores excess liquid refrigerant. The second job of the accumulator drier is to remove moisture and contaminates from the system. If any of these are not working right you could be pretty warm this summer.

3 Recipe: BBQ RIBS BBQ RBS 2 racks of pork baby back ribs 4 table spoons salt 4 table spoons pepper 1 table spoon cayenne pepper 2 table spoons paprika 4 tablespoon onion powder 4 tablespoons garlic powder 1 bottle Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce. Mix all seasoning in a bowl. Dry rub the ribs with the seasoning Roast in oven on 250 degrees for 3 hours. Then grill the ribs until fork tender or then fall off the bone when you pick them up. Lather on the Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce let that warm for a minute or two then serve.

4 Did You Know? Flag day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United Sates, which happened that day by resolution of the Second Continental Congress in In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day; in August 1949, National Flag Day was established by an act of Congress. One of the longest-running Flag Day parades is held annually in Quincy, Massachusetts, which began in 1952, celebrating its 60th year in The largest Flag Day parade is held annually in Troy, New York, which bases its parade on the Quincy parade and typically draws 50,000 spectators. The oldest Flag Day parade is in Fairfield, Washington, beginning in 1909 or Father's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June. Its first celebration was in Spokane, Washington on June 19, A bill to accord national recognition of the holiday was introduced in Congress in In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson went to Spokane to speak in a Father's Day celebration and wanted to make it official, but Congress resisted, fearing that it would become commercialized. President Calvin Coolidge recommended in 1924 that the day be observed by the nation, but stopped short of issuing a national proclamation. In 1966, President Lyndon B. Johnson made Father's Day a holiday to be celebrated on the third Sunday of June. Finally the holiday was officially recognized in1972, by Richard Nixon. More phone calls are made in the United States during Mother's Day than during Father's Day, but the percentage of collect calls on Father's Day is much higher, making it the busiest day of the year for collect calls. Also, calls during both Mother's Day and Father's Day tend to last longer. Not as many gifts or greeting cards are purchaed for Father s Day then Mother s Day.

6 About Fisher s Transmission Center Inc. This month I will tell you a little about my self I am a humble and thankful person. The Lord has blessed me with many blessing. I first started here working with my Dad back in For about my first year all I did was clean parts and clean the shop. Dad said that if I didn t know how to clean I won t know how to keep the parts clean when I would get to work on the cars. Then the next couple of years I was able to work on the cars and clean parts and floors. To this day no matter what other things I do I still get to clean parts and clean the floors. I guess some things never change. Back in 1985 I was ASE certified in automatic transmission /transaxle and manual drive train and axles and have been recertified very 5 years since then. Dad retired in 1993 and I took over as manager till 1996 when I brought his shares out and became president. I have been president ever since. So I came from chief floor cleaner to chief of the business. It took some time and a lot of hard work but I am sure that any business owner or company president would say the same. What I am most proud of over the years is the amount of clients who are or have become my friends. I enjoy being able to see them and help them as there families grow. There a some clients that I am now working on their third generation s vehicles and it is very satisfying to have them know, like, and trust me and our shop.
