Haak, 87, of Decatur died Saturday, April 12, 2003, in Decatur. Born Dec. 31, 1915, in Chicago, Ill., she was a retired secretary for a theatrical production company. She married William E. Haak on April 16, 1938, in Chicago. He preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, James Haak of Florida; a daughter, Joan Haak of Decatur; three brothers, Walter Alcumbrac of Decatur, Paul Hornburg of Arkansas and Ron Alcumbrac of Indiana and two sisters, Pauline Hornburg of Michigan and Sharon Tatge of Illinois. Thursday, April 17, 2003 Hachtel, Albert J Graveside service for Albert J. Hachtel, 92, of Newark, will be Monday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery. The Rev. Dan Hunt will officiate. Hachtel died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, in Newark. Born Dec. 23, 1910, in Bowie to Will and Matilda Hachtel, he married Jewell Kelley Sept. 1, 1934, in Denton. He was a retired driver for Dye Trucking and a member of the First Baptist Church in Newark. He was preceded in death by his wife and a son, Jimmy Hachtel. Burial was to follow at Eastside Cemetery in Bridgeport. Hale died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, in Decatur. Born May 24, 1945, in Littlefield, she was a caregiver for home health. She married Benjamin Franklin Hale III on March 5, 1965, in Boyd. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Boyd. She is survived by her husband; her mother and step-father, Sibyl and W. B. Arrington of Bridgeport; a son, Scotty Hale and wife Wendy of Arlington; a daughter, Traci Meekins and husband Donald of Bridgeport; two brothers, Jerry Hartsell of Fort Worth and Michael Hartsell of Bridgeport and three grandchildren, Christopher and Haley Meekins of Bridgeport and Emily Hale of Arlington. Burial followed at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Haney died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, in Bridgeport. Born March 4, 1912, in Wise County, she was a lifetime resident of Bridgeport. She was a homemaker and a retired store clerk. Haney was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bridgeport and the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She married S.A. Haney Jr. on April 28, 1934, in Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 9, 1984, and by a great-granddaughter, Shannon Hofacket. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred J. Bastian; her second husband, R. B. Harrell; her parents, and her sisters, Laverne Price and Geneva Thacker. Burial will be at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Hartsell died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, in Arlington. Born April 10, 1910, in Fife, she and her husband, Lawrence Frederick Hartsell, owned and operated family groceries in many areas including Chico. The couple also owned property there. She served as a house parent at Buckner s Orphanage and the Methodist Home in Waco. She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Bobbie Jean Jernigan and husband, Eugene. 5 Haun, Johnnie Ruth Pennington Funeral for Johnnie Ruth Pennington Haun, 85, of Weatherford, formerly of Rhome was April 1, at Schmitz, Floyd, Anderson Funeral Home in Denton. Born Nov. 7, 1917, in Justin to John and Jessie Pennington, she died March 29, 2003, in Ft. Worth. She married Arlis Haun May 13, They made their home in Rhome for almost 50 years prior to moving to Weatherford in She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rhome, lifetime member of the Rhome Women s Club and charter member of the Fairview Community Club. In recent years, she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Weatherford where she was a member of the Sweet Spirit Senior Choir and Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was also a volunteer for Weatherford s Manna Storehouse. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Pennington and sisters, Margareet Burks and Martha High of Justin. She is survived by her husband, Arlis Haun; daughter and son-in-law Dixie and Kenneth Henson; grandson and wife, Danny and Kalynne Henson; great-grandsons, Kale and Keaton Henson, all of Weatherford; and a brother, Hugh Pennington of Burleson. He married Tina Mari Wilcher Sept. 30, 2000, in Houston. He served in seven campaigns, receiving several medals including five Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He married the former Jonivee Bynum on Nov. 7, 1945, in San Antonio. The couple moved to Tulia in 1959 where they managed Gusler Products for more than 20 years. He served as a Boy Scout leader for many years and was the troop s liason for the Kiwanis Club. They spent their retirement years in Granbury and Fort Worth.
