Elijah And The Cave Of Despair (Fear and Self Pity) 1 Kings 19:2 Jezebel immediately sent a messenger to Elijah with her threat: "The gods will get you for this and I'll get even with you! By this time tomorrow you'll be as dead as any one of those prophets." 1 Kings 19:13 When Elijah heard the quiet voice, he muffled his face with his great cloak, went to the mouth of the cave, and stood there. A quiet voice asked, "So Elijah, now tell me, what are you doing here?" Msg.

2 In The Corporate Setting Matt 13:25-26 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. (KJV) In the church the spirit of Jezebel is looking for positions of authority, not positions of service, Jezebel ideally wants authority without accountability. She loves charismatic churches with experiential Christians that are not mature or discipled. She likes lukewarm conversational prayer churches because they don t believe it. Rev 3:14-16 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans (justice of the people) write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. (KJV)

3 Removing Opinions Always Brings Spiritual Confrontation 1 Cor 11:18-19 In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it. 19 No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God's approval. NIV I King 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. (KJV) Cave days follow Mt. Carmel experiences.

5 Elijah Guard Your Heart I King 18:22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men. Elijah is missing the big picture, he is fixed on Mt. Carmel, he doesn t know about the others, why? IKing 18:27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. I King 18:37-39 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. 38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.

6 IKing 18:43-44 And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. (KJV) IKing 18:40 And Elijah (Yah is God) said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon,(winding) and slew them there. IKing 18:41 And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain. (he heard it in the spirit). IKing 18:42 So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,

7 PMS 1 King 19:1-10 And Ahab (fathers brother) told Jezebel (baal exalts, unchaste) all that Elijah (my God is Jehovah) had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.

8 Spiritual Wickedness In High Places A messenger is sent to Elijah. Elijah is already under stress. He prophesied rain and a small cloud doesn t appear until the 7 th. Visit. Now in the midst of Isa. 40:31 he receives word through a messenger that he is to be killed. Who was the messenger, friend or foe? He was full of faith and discernment to deal with Jezebel and her hordes directly, but..

9 When engaged in a spiritual warfare we wear our armor. Eph 6:14-17 belt of truth buckled around your waist breastplate of righteousness feet fitted with the gospel of peace. the shield of faith, to extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one. helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit the word of God. But.here it comes witchcraft, the enemy many times sends the message through a known person, friend, trusted associate, Why? Because we do not have our shield of faith firmly in place, our guard is down and the arrows hit there mark. Jezebel knows if she brings the message you would be armored up. This is witchcraft at it s best fear (False Evidence Appears Real).

10 PMS And Caves Called Despair It is important to understand that you must not isolate yourself if this happens. Be alert and know that spiritual wickedness is a curse unto itself. Prov 26:2 Like the sparrow in her wandering, like the swallow in her flying, so the causeless curse does not alight. Gen 3:1 He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?" NIV Balaam Num 23:8 How can I curse those God has not cursed? Or how can I [violently] denounce those the Lord has not denounced? AMP Jezebel releases a spirit of controlling, manipulating WITCHCRAFT. The indicator of how terrible this is, she actually curses herself because it returns to her and she dies a horrible death.

11 Don t Get Isolated The Pastor and Evangelist will leave the 99 to find the one. The Apostle and Prophet will put out the one to save the 99. The teacher will give them a map no matter weather there going in or out. IKing 19:3-4 And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba (well of 7 oaths), which belongeth to Judah (praise), and left his servant there. I King 19:4 (NLT) Then he went on alone into the desert, traveling all day. He sat down under a solitary broom tree and prayed that he might die. "I have had enough, LORD," he said. "Take my life, for I am no better than my ancestors."

12 He Can t See Past His Dilemma! Elijah is having a faith twitch! He can t see past his dilemma. IKing 18:4 For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah (servant of Jehovah) took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.) I King 19:18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him. (KJV) Spiritual wickedness will always try to cut you off and trap you in isolation. Prophets, Prophetesses and Intercessory prayer warriors take not of this. This comes in the form of unjust curses, tormenting voices produce vain imaginations that come into agreement with the threat (curse), this trail leads to a cave of despair.

13 PMS, Beersheba, Broom Trees And Caves Called Despair Elijah actually becomes suicidal. He runs to the wilderness to Mt. Sinai leaves his companion (servant). He isolates him-self. He starts feeling sorry for himself. Don t underestimate the power of these spirits. God says to Elijah I King 19:9 And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah? (KJV)

14 The Small Voice That Sounds Like Thunder Then God pass s by in the Wind, Earthquake, Fire and the same voice from V:9 speaks to him. I King 19:13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah? (KJV) Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (KJV)

15 "Go Back The Way You Came 1 Kings 19:14-18 Elijah said it again, "I've been working my heart out for GOD, the GOD-of-the- Angel-Armies, because the people of Israel have abandoned your covenant, destroyed your places of worship, and murdered your prophets. I'm the only one left, and now they're trying to kill me." 15 GOD said, "Go back the way you came through the desert to Damascus. When you get there anoint Hazael; make him king over Aram. 16 Then anoint Jehu son of Nimshi; make him king over Israel. Finally, anoint Elisha son of Shaphat from Abel Meholah to succeed you as prophet. 17 Anyone who escapes death by Hazael will be killed by Jehu; and anyone who escapes death by Jehu will be killed by Elisha. 18 Meanwhile, I'm preserving for myself seven thousand souls: the knees that haven't bowed to the god Baal, the mouths that haven't kissed his image." Msg.

16 Prayer of repentance Father I ask your forgiveness for tolerating jezebel in our selves and in the church. Father release in us the mature fruit of peace, joy, self-control, temperance, faith, humility meekness, goodness. Father by the power of the Holy Spirit we break off all confusion and bind to us a sound mind and power. We command all fear to leave us and our church. We command heaviness, lethargy and weakness to break off and we cast it out. We bind to us health, strength and clarity of vision and kingdom purpose. We command in the name of Jesus immorality, sickness, backbiting, slander, gossip, false words and rebellion to leave us and our church. We stand in your grace and receive the admotion that you gave the church of Thyratia in Revelations chapter 2. We repent and ask you to cover us fresh and new with your sustaining blood.

17 How To Get Delivered 1. Submit yourself to a 5 fold leader who does not operate with a controlling spirit. 2. Plead the blood of Jesus over yourself right now. 3. Renounce all associations with The Spirit of Jezebel. Repent of rebellion and anger towards others. 4. Forgive those who you believe have hurt you without conditions, no matter who it was. 5. Submit to authority, and allow them to help you and disciple you until the pain and confusion is gone. 6. Cast out a controlling spirit, spirit of seduction, spirit of whoredoms, spirit of antichrist, spirit of deception, spirit of manipulation, a lying spirit, spirit of witchcraft, spirit of divination, spirit of lethargy, a spirit of murder, hate, jealousy, envy, strife, slumber, error, haughtiness and familiar spirits. 7. Bind appropriate scriptures to yourself that your accountability group is in agreement with. Remember you have been misusing scripture to justify the above behavior.
