1 Cardinals sing for you to bring a new member into the nest December 2017 State Madam President Judy Williamson Greetings, What a busy month, it started with the East Central Regional Conference with our Ohio brothers and sisters. What a great time. The ECR president, Dee Lahnala, did an outstanding job organizing the informative program for our meeting. Had a lovely banquet where the Ohio State presidents, Wayne and I received a generous donation for our charities. On November 11th attended the anniversary of Lincoln Park 2566 Had an awesome dinner and got to visit with the brothers and sisters. The entertainment was great, they taught me the "wobble", what a hoot. Was presented with a check for my charity from the auxiliary and Eagle Riders. Such great hospitality. November 18th was the 79th anniversary of Flint 629. What an accomplishment. The district 4 ritual team, with some state officers, did the initiation of 5 candidates. A big welcome to our new sisters. I was then honored to do the anniversary ceremony. They gave me a check for the Cancer Center, again great hospitality. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. It is a time to pause and give thanks for our many blessings. Now its time to prepare for the Christmas season. It started with the MEFRC Christmas party on the 2nd. What a great party, and its an opportunity to get together and celebrate. Had a surprise visit from Santa and the Grinch. Even had a marriage proposal, congrats to Pam & Kevin. The rec committee did an awesome job, lots of good food and money raised for the rebuild of the rec. Special thanks to Jeff Hull for being such a good sport for the "pie in the face", it was for a good cause. As we prepare for the holiday festivities, lets remember our service men and women who aren't able to be home for the holidays. Keep working on helping our organization to grow by signing up new members. May you all have a blessed Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year. 2 Auxiliary Secretaries, We are having State Auxiliary Officers and Past State Presidents come out to get the Grand Aerie Survey s done per the Grand Aerie. I need you to please put in the MMS s of our State Committee Sisters and the Madam Presidents of your Auxiliary. This is Important for the Grand Aerie to send them information on the monthly reports for the Charity Accounts and to keep the Presidents updated on any new information. I called the Grand Aerie today to make sure all these numbers are correct and they are up to date. I have the list below of the Auxiliaries that are not in COMPLIANCE as of December 1 st. Secretaries, we have (2) Auxiliaries that have Missing Auditors in the MMS. We have (10) Auxiliaries that need to send in your Officers List to the State Secretaries office, plus (1) District s. Also we have (6) Auxiliaries that need to get the Affiliation Agreement signed and send into the Grand Aerie. I mailed out a copy of the Affiliation Agreement to each Secretaries. We have (36) Auxiliaries for the 990. You might of gotten your 990 done with the IRS but the Grand Aerie doesn t have a copy, (2) auxiliaries have lost their Non-Profit, (20) Auxiliaries that haven t mailed in a copy of the insurance. The Grand Aerie is sending notices out on all of the above. If your Auxiliary needs any help call this officer. It is Per Capita Tax time. To get the Tax papers follow these directions as follows: MMS, go to reports then at the bottom it says PCT. You will see Grand Aerie PCT, Benefit PCT and the State PCT. These are the Invoices you must print each one and send a copy of the Invoices to the Grand Aerie and the State Auxiliary. At our State Convention we passed a By-law, Section 4.1 the Auxiliaries do not have to pay Per Capita Taxes on your Dual Members. In December 2017 State Per Capita Taxes will be on your Grand Aerie Initiated Members only. Make your check out to Michigan State Auxiliary, attention Pat Murney. The women s Auxiliary traces our Roots back to st being founded on March 24th, 1927 in Pittsburg, Kansas.
