1 Text: Isaiah Chapter 1 I. (Judah Forsakes the Lord). [vv. 1-9] A. The vision that Isaiah saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. [v.1] B. Judah does not realize and/or accept that God has provided all blessing to them. [vv. 2-3] C. Judah is described as sinful and they have gone backward; the whole land is filled with unrighteousness. In the last days, the mountain of God will be exalted; all nations will flow into and many will want to go and learn to walk in His ways; and peace will come from the mountain of God. [vv. 2-4] C. A plea for Judah to return to walking in God s ways by turning from the idolatrous things they did through allowing the Philistine s influence them. [vv. 5-9] II. (The Day of the Lord). [vv ] A. Plea for Judah to humble herself and seek shelter in God. [v. 10] B. Consequences of non-humility: the proud, haughtiness, loftiness will be abased; God will be exalted and idols will be destroyed. [v. 1] B. In the day that the women are humbled, the beauty and glory of God will be seen. [v. 2] C. After the cleansing the ones left in Jerusalem will be called holy. [vv. 3-4] D. Thing in Jerusalem will resemble the days of the exodus when God lead Israel. [vv. 5-6]

The beloved planted a vineyard, protected and nurtured it expecting good grapes, but wild came forth. [vv. 1a-2] C. Judah and Jerusalem are the vineyard; God s asks what more could have been done. [vv. 3-4] II. (The Destruction of the Vineyard). [vv. 5-10] A. The vineyard will go untended and unprotected and will be destroyed. [vv. 5-6] B. 20 Text: Isaiah Chapter 20 I. (The Shame of Egypt and Ethiopia). [vv. 1-6] A. Tartan came to Ashdod engage the city in battle and took it. [v. 1] B. God tells Isaiah to make himself a walking symbol. 26 Text: Isaiah Chapter 26 I. (A Mind Stayed on God). [vv. 1-11] A. God will appoint salvation. [v. 1] B. Open the gates and trust in God. [vv. 2-4] C. God humbles the proud. [vv. 5-6] D. The way of the just is righteousness. [v. 7] E. When the wicked is shown favor they will not learn righteousness. [v. 10] II. (A Peace for God s People). [vv ] A. God will give peace to his people. God will punish people for their iniquity. [v. 21]

27 Text: Isaiah Chapter 27 I. (The Vineyard of Red Wine). [vv. 1-9] A. God will punish the leviathan. [v. 1] B. God will sing to the vineyard and protect it because He has no fury; God has strength for peace. [vv. 2-5] C. God will be the cause of Israel s glory. [v. 6] D. The iniquity of Jacob will be purged. [vv. 7-9] II. (The Desolation of Cities). [vv ] A. The cities will be inhabited only by animals. [v. 10] B. God will show no mercy to the inhabitants. [v. 11] C. The children of Israel will be gathered one by one. [v. 12] D. From Assyria and Egypt will come those who will worship God. [v. 13]

28 Text: Isaiah Chapter 28 I. (Woe to Ephraim). [vv. 1-4] A. Woe to Ephraim the crown of pride. [v. 1] B. God has a mighty one and Ephraim will be trodden under foot. [vv. 2-4] II. (A Crown of Glory). [vv. 5-13] A. To the group that remains, God will be a crown of glory, spirit of judgment for those who judge and strength for those who war. [v. 5-6] B. The prophet and priest have erred in strong drink, and all places are filthy. [vv. 7-8] C. Who will receive God s knowledge and doctrine? Children and taught little by little. [vv. 9-13] III. (A Precious Corner Stone). [vv ] A. Call to the scornful to hear God s word. [v. 14] B. The scornful think they have protection. [v. 15] C. God message begins to the scornful: He will allow them to have punishment. [vv ] IV. (A Covenant with Death). [vv ] A. God will disannual the covenant of the scornful, it will be trodden down. [v. 18] B. The report will be a vexation, no protection seems available. [vv ] C. God will work a strange act; so let no mockers exist. [vv ] V. (Hearken to My Voice). [vv ] A. A call is made for them to listen. [v. 23] B. God has instructed the farmer on the method to sow and reap. [v ] C. God also instructs on the proper method for taking fruit from the crop. [vv ]

29 Text: Isaiah Chapter 29 I. (Woe to Jerusalem). [vv. 1-8] A. Woe to Ariel; Ariel will be distressed. [vv. 1-2] B. Ariel will be seiged and brought down. [vv. 3-5] C. God is going to come against Ariel. [vv. 6-8] II. (The Sealed Book). [vv. 9-12] A. God has poured out a deep sleep. [vv. 9-10] B. The sealed book cannot be read by the learned or unlearned. [vv ] III. (God Will Do a Marvellous Work). [vv ] A. The people honor God in words only, not with their heart, because of this God will do a marvelous work: wisdom will perish and understanding will be hid. [vv ] B. Woe to those who try to hide from God. [v. 15] C. They will turn things upside down: the created will deny the Creator. [v. 16] IV. (A Fruitful Yeild). [vv ] A. Lebanon will cease as a forest and become fruitful, and the fruitful will become a forest. [v. 17] B. The deaf and the blind will understand the sealed book. [v. 18] C. The meek and poor will find joy and rejoice in God because the evil one is humbled. [vv ] D. Jacob will not be ashamed, they will sanctify and fear God. [vv ] E. The erring will have understanding, the murmurers will have teaching. [v. 24]

30 Text: Isaiah Chapter 30 I. (Woe to Judah). [vv. 1-7] A. Woe to the rebellious children that trust is Egypt s power. [vv. 1-2] B. The strength of pharaoh will be their shame. [vv. 3-5] C. The beasts of the south will be a burden. [v. 6] D. The Egyptians will give no help. [v. 7] II. (A Rebellious People). [vv. 8-11] A. It is to be written so it will last forever. [v. 8] B. The people are rebellious liars who will not heard God. [v. 9] C. The people want the seers and prophets to speak lies. [v. 10] D. The people want nothing to do with God. [v. 11] III. (A Breach Ready to Fall). [vv ] A. God says that because they despise truth their iniquity will crash down on them like pottery breaking into small pieces. [vv ] B. Israel refused quietness and strength so they will flee at the sound of just one person. [vv ] IV. (Graciousness and Mercy). [vv ] A. God will wait and will be gracious to them; he will hear their cry and answer it. [vv ] B. Although God is punishing them, they will see their human teachers, but hear a voice from behind about the truth. [vv ] C. They will throw their idols away like a something dirty and receive bountiful blessings. [vv ] V. (The Glorious Voice of the Lord). [vv ] A. The name of God comes from afar and is filled with anger, the people s mouths will be bridled and they will err. [vv ] B. There will song and gladness of heart; God will allow His glorious voice to be heard and His voice will defeat the Assyrians. [vv ]

31 Text: Isaiah Chapter 31 I. (Woe for Trusting in Egypt). [vv. 1-4] A. Woe to those who look for strength in Egypt s military might and not in God. [v. 1] B. The wise will rise against evil and iniquity. [v. 2] C. The Egyptian military will fail. [v. 3] D. God will not fail; He will fight. [v. 4] II. (Preserving Jerusalem). [vv. 5-9] A. God will deliver Jerusalem. [v. 5] B. Turn to God and cast away idols and Assyria will fall. [vv. 6-9]

32 Text: Isaiah Chapter 32 I. (The Righteous King). [vv. 1-8] A. A new righteous king will rule. [v. 1] B. Describes the man who will hide, the condition of his eyes, his heart and tongue.
