Augusta, GA WINTER 2007 From the Heart What an exciting year this has been!!! It seems like yesterday that we were sharing with you what the Lord had given us for 2007 The Year to be Free!!! We have received so many testimonies of lives changed and totally transformed this year by the simple anointing that rests upon the Word of God. There has been a wonderful increase in the number of instant healings that we are seeing and hearing about at our miracle services. I ve never seen as many healings regarding backs, knees, shoulders, tumors and ears. It has been awesome. For sure, signs and wonders are on the rise and we praise His Holy name. This Prayer & Praise Rally (#10) was beyond our greatest expectations. The awesome presence of the Lord filled our sanctuary and brought such joy to our hearts. There was such unity and such a sense of working hand in glove with the Lord to accomplish His will on the earth. Only eternity will record what these meetings have accomplished for the Kingdom of God. Thank all of you for your prayers. Enjoy your family and friends this Christmas season. It is certainly the time of year to let love reign supreme in our lives. It reflects the great love heart of our Father God ---Jesus, the most precious gift ever to invade this earth. I trust you have made Him Lord of your life!! The rest of 2007 and heading into 2008 will be remarkable for the church. When I speak of the church, I am talking about that precious group that pushes into the heart of God; those who allow God to transform them for His glory, who understand that it is no longer I that live, but Christ who lives in me. It is these that shall experience His provision, His protection, His anointing and walk in His glory! Remember to make the things of God top priority in your life. Be sure and look with great anticipation toward the New Year and take advantage of the weeks left in Let s all end this year and invade the next Free in Him!!! Sandra

2 A Faith Like Mary s As we approach the Christmas season, our hearts are stirred as we celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We are reminded that Jesus is the reason for the season, and it feels like all of creation resounds with Peace on earth, goodwill toward men. Yet, at the heart of this wonderful time of joy and celebration, we find a man and a woman, who individually and jointly give us one of the greatest stories of faith ever told. The man and woman, of course, are Joseph and Mary. We all know the Christmas story about how God used these two young people to bring about His plan of redemption, but I would like to examine the lives of these two extraordinary individuals and how their life lessons can translate to our lives today. Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin s name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women! But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end. Then Mary said to the angel, How can this be, since I do not know a man? And the angel answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible. Then Mary said, Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word. And the angel departed from her. Luke 1:26-38 This story has been played out repeatedly through our lives: Christmas Eve sermons, Christmas pageants, and even cartoons on TV. We have become so familiar with this story that it s easy to forget the religious and social climate that existed during that time. Imagine Mary s reaction to the news! She understood the implications and the possible consequences, yet she accepted this as her destiny; this was God s purpose for her life. Why Mary? Why did God choose her? I believe there are three characteristics that made Mary stand out before God and all of heaven, and made this handmaiden God s choice to bring forth His Son.

3 Why did God choose Mary? She was receptive. She was open to receive instruction. She was not locked in by religion or tradition. In examining the life of Mary, it becomes evident that she knew the Word of God, and that she had a relationship with the Lord God Almighty. When the angel of the Lord came to visit her, she was not shocked or dismayed. She understood it was a divine visitation. However, the visitation was not what moved her, but the message the angel delivered to her. Mary was receptive; she was open to the Word of the Lord. She was impregnated by hearing the Word of God. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of the Lord. Just like Mary, you and I can become impregnated by the Word of the Lord. The word of the Lord has power to change our lives. Mary heard and her life was forever changed. If we would learn to be receptive to God s word, learn how to receive God s word, our lives would never be the same again! Hallelujah! People who are receptive learn to walk in an attitude of expectancy. They expect God to do something! You cannot control how or when God s going to do something; you must be willing and open to receive instructions, just like Mary. Why did God choose Mary? She was humble. She was not proud, haughty or arrogant. Mary was a maidservant of the Lord. From an early age, Mary prepared herself to be a servant of God. Mary was not vain, believing she should receive glory for anything, but instead, understood that everything should be directed back to God giving glory to Him. Her identity was wrapped up in serving God. No matter what the cost, at the risk of ruining her reputation, even at the risk of being killed, she still said, do to me what you said. She was willing to believe in spite of the cost. How often are we willing to receive from God, but when things get a little hard, when opposition comes our way, we want to back away from the call on our lives? We re willing to receive the reward, but we re not willing to pay the price. Mary humbled herself before God and became exalted as highly favored. Why did God choose Mary? She was a servant. Her life, her body, and her reputation were not her own. A servant responds to what the master says. A servant does not advance himself, but advances the master they serve. If you and I are to receive the life of God, we must learn obedience. Be it unto me according to thy Word. If you are facing difficulty in your life with your marriage, your career, or your health, this could be an opportunity for you to say be it unto me according to your word. Simply obey God and serve Him! So often the question is asked how can I know the will of the Lord or how can I do His will? Consider whether you will do what He shows you to do. That s the real issue. Let Christ be the center of your life. Trust God. He will reveal His will and purpose for your life, but it must first begin with your willingness to obey. God chooses to accomplish His work upon the earth through people. Jesus said that the angels of heaven rejoice when a sinner comes to repentance. I believe there are angelic beings in heaven keeping a close eye over what happens to us. They are waiting, watching, wondering what we will do. Who you are and what your future holds depends on how you will respond. With God, nothing is impossible. God could have chosen anyone to bring forth His Son, yet He chose Mary. Why? What set her apart from everyone else in His eyes? Her servant heart. God has a destiny for you. Do you want to be set apart in God s eyes just like Mary? Have the faith of Mary, a gentle, child-like faith. Be receptive, humble and obedient.

4 A Faith Like Joseph s Matthew 1:18 25: Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just [man], and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. A s we turn our attention towards Joseph, we could ask the same question as we did about Mary. Why Joseph? Although very little is written about this man, what was it about him that made him stand out in the eyes of God? There are no accidents with God, and He is concerned about every detail in fulfilling His plan. Therefore, we must understand that there were reasons why God chose Mary to be the earthly mother of Jesus, and why He chose Joseph to care for her. It was not a coincidence that Jesus was born during the reign of Herod; it was not an accident that the Wise Men or the shepherds found Him. What a wonderful God we serve! The same God that cared over every detail in the birth of His son also cares about every detail of our lives! Then Joseph her husband, being a just man Matthew 1:19 Why did God choose Joseph? God saw Joseph to be a just man; a righteous man. What does it mean to be just and righteous? Simply, Joseph was a man who lived by God s standards. He was a man who wanted to do things right and do the right thing. Joseph had a choice to make when Mary told him the news. Imagine the kind of emotions that ran through his body: he felt betrayed, angry, and confused. He was

5 to marry this woman only to find out she was already with child. The religious leaders of that day could have called for Mary to be stoned for adultery and blasphemy. However, Joseph, in the face of scandal and disgrace, did not lash out in anger or retaliate against Mary. Instead, his primary focus was to protect Mary and the child she carried. Joseph, a just man, chose mercy. How often are we faced with the same choices as Joseph? We have felt betrayed. We are angry. Before us stand people in need of mercy, compassion, protection. Do you withhold mercy so you will feel vindicated, or will you be just, like Joseph, and give mercy? Matthew 1:20-21: Behold while he thought on these things, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Why did God choose Joseph? Joseph had redemptive faith. When you trust God you will always arrive at the promises of God. Neither Joseph nor Mary ever asked anyone for an interpretation or what they thought. Instead, they simply listened to what God said. Matthew 1:24: Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him. Joseph obeyed without question. He had a relationship with God and trusted Him. He knew God would direct him, whether it was through an angel or through a dream. He walked in redemptive faith because he walked out the plans of God upon the earth. The angel of God addressed Joseph as Joseph, thou son of David. God reminded Joseph who he was. Hallelujah! God wants us to know who we are! He wants us to rise up to the occasion. God has a call for our lives. We have a special identity in God! Why did God choose Joseph? Joseph was an obedient servant. Not only did he have faith, but he did something with his faith. Not only did he hear, but he walked out what he heard instantly. He didn t ask the angel to let him pray and meditate on it. He simply obeyed what the angel told him to do. What a man of faith! Joseph s obedience meant that he would leave behind his career (remember he was a carpenter), his family and friends to go to Egypt, once a place of bondage for the Israelites. Obedience takes you to places that are not always the most comfortable. God doesn t always call us to do what we like or want to do. But how great the reward to trust God and walk before him in obedience! Why did God choose Joseph? Joseph was the head and the priest of his home. He was trusted to be the priest because he was trustworthy. His wife could trust him because he was just, he was righteous, he was kind and he walked in mercy. He could be trusted that not only could he hear from God, but that he would obey whatever God told him to do. Joseph honored his wife because he honored God. Any man who honors God will honor his wife. How we relate to each other is based on how well we know and serve God. The Christmas story is one of the greatest stories of faith ever told. Joseph and Mary were people of faith and possessed qualities that God knew He could trust to carry out His plan. All of heaven stood on tiptoes waiting to see what Joseph and Mary would do. All of heaven is waiting to see what you and I will do in response to the call of God on our lives. No one else can fulfill God s plan for your life except for you. God created you and placed the qualities and characteristics in you to complete His plan. All of heaven is waiting to see if you will respond. What will you choose to do? The future of the world may or may not hinge on your answer, as it did with theirs, but you can be assured of one thing: your future does depend on your answer to God.

6 HEALING TESTIMONIES Several weeks ago, a friend of mine and a church member of Whole Life came to see me. They talked, prayed for me, gave me a healing cloth (which I have worn ever since) and CDs by Sandra Kennedy (Words of Life for Healing has been especially helpful). Since that day a lot of pain has left my body. I m still on a little pain medicine but not nearly as much. I am able to wear a bra, which I could not for at least 6 months to a year, and I am able to lay on my right side it has been 3 or 4 years since I have been able to do that due to the pain from lung surgery. Thank You God! Thank You Jesus! I know I have been made whole again! K.H. had cancer of the saliva gland several years ago. Due to effects from the radiation treatments she received, she had an area in her mouth where the bone over her back molars was exposed. The dentist did not expect this area to heal and told her that she possibly would lose her teeth in that area. But after attending The Healing Center and listening to Words of Life for Healing on a regular basis the area has healed without any medical intervention. Also, due to lung cancer she has been in pain and unable to sleep because of the pain when she would lie down. She is now only on minimal amounts of pain medications and can sleep comfortably through the night. She s still praising Jesus and says she knows she has been made whole again! F.T. had been nearly deaf for 10 years and has had to wear hearing aides in both ears. After attending The Healing Center and the October Healing Explosion/ Miracle Service at Whole Life MINISTRIES, she can now hear without the hearing aides! A lady, who had severe pain in her feet and could not walk up and down stairs, began to go up and down the stairs at the Healing Explosion in Dallas, until she could run up and down with no pain. A man who had surgery on his shoulder and could not move it, suddenly was able to lift his arm and regained full range of motion in his shoulder during the September Healing Explosion in Dallas.

7 While attending a Healing Explosion in Dallas during September, a woman whose spine was malformed in an s shape felt her back snap and her spine was completely straightened. For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thy wounds, saith the Lord Jeremiah 30:17 Also during the September Healing Explosion in Dallas, many people had their hearing restored and several had their vision improved! All glory to God for His faithfulness! He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 J.H. had numbness in her feet due to diabetes. She attended The Healing Center and the feeling returned to her feet. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever Hebrews 13:8 W.M. had scar tissue around her heart due to Sarcoidosis. This caused her to have an irregular heart rhythm which could lead to cardiac arrest. After attending The Healing Center and a Healing Explosion/Miracle Service she went to the hospital for a cardiac catherization. Her doctor gave her the results saying that he could find nothing wrong and could not even cause her heart to go into an irregular rhythm! He told her she could join an exercise group because everything was all right. Praise God! The Healing Center is a lovely Christ-centered facility dedicated to ministering healing to those who have serious medical problems. The Center was founded and based upon a vision given to Dr. Kennedy by the Lord. It is our Father s heart s desire that we be healed and He has made provision for healing in His Word. Participants are taught God s Word concerning healing and how to apply it to their circumstances. The only cost to our participants is their time and commitment. There is NO CHARGE for our services.
