2 There are 3 components to your education: General Education Modes of Expression Foundations of History, Philosophy & Social Science Interpreting Literature and the Arts Contemporary US and Global Perspectives Science and Technology Quantitative Skills Electives Jewish Studies CORE + 14 Jewish Studies Credits Courses in Hebrew, Bible, Judaic Studies, Jewish Philosophy, Jewish History Major Generally between credits Courses beyond the elementary level may require pre-requisites Every student must complete all the requirements for all 3 components in order to be eligible for graduation

11 Core and Credits CORE is a unit of 3 courses that total at least 8 credits CORE is recorded on the official transcript as HEST and is generally worth 6 credits See an Academic Advisor for a credit value worth fewer credits Students are required to complete: - 6 semesters of CORE - 14 additional Jewish Studies credits Students who have completed one year of study in Israel may earn up to: - 3 semesters of CORE - 9 credits towards the additional 14 credits
