1 September Prayer Focus Restoring, Establishing & Finishing Instructions: The month of September will be a month of consecration to the Lord for Restoring what has been broken, establishing what could not be started and finishing what could not be completed. Pray Pray through the focus passage and purpose taking into consideration all three aspects of your life, restoring, establishing and finishing. Pray as often as you are led, but at least once daily. Food Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables. Decrease your intake of sweets; sugar, cakes, pies, donuts, cobblers, and candy. Cut back on meats to one meal daily. Drinks Increase your water intake, some healthy juices. Decrease in sugary drinks; Gatorade, Koolaide, artificial juices. No liquor. Be active with your declarations and decrees. Job 22:27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows. 28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. 1

2 Day 16: Pray Proverbs 10:4, 12:24, 14:23. Wealth is a result of enterprise and useful work. Proverbs 10:4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. Proverbs 12:24 The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. Proverbs 14:23 In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. Day 17: Pray Proverbs 13:22; Ecclesiastes 2:26. Wealth is taken away from the sinners and given to those who please God. Proverbs 13:22 A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. Ecclesiastes 2:26 For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God. This also is vanity and vexation of spirit. Day 18: Pray Proverbs 22:16. Read Daniel 6, 7. Ask the Lord to expose any oppressive spirit that is stopping a release of your next level of wealth. Wealth is imperfectly distributed in this world, and it is sometimes gained 2

3 through oppression and injustice. Many times there is a network or confederation of leaders set against wealth. Day 19: Pray Amos 2:6, 4:1, 8:4-6. Pray that the wealth held by oppressive leaders will be released for God's Kingdom. Amos 2:6 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes; Amos 4:1 Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink. Amos 8:4 Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail, 5 Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit? 6 That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat? Day 20: Pray Proverbs 23:4, Ecclesiastes 4:8. Pray for clear vision. Provision is linked with vision. Wealth is not an end in itself. Proverbs 23:4 Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. Ecclesiastes 4:8 There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; 3

4 neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail. Day 21: Pray Ecclesiastes 5:10, 13, Matthew 6:24, Luke 16:13. Ask God to reveal the snares of wealth to you. Wealth is a potentially dangerous snare. Ecclesiastes 5:10 He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. 13 There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt. Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Day 22: Pray 1 Samuel 2:7; Psalms 69:33; Revelation 2:9. Acknowledge God s sovereignty, and declare His favor on you for wealth. 1 Samuel 2:7 The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. Psalms 69:33 For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners. 4

5 Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Day 23: Pray Proverbs 14:21, Ephesians 4:28, James 2:15, 16, 1 John 3:17. Wealth is to be shared with the needy. Ask the Lord to define your responsibility to those who are less fortunate than you. Proverbs14:21 He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he. Ephesians 14:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. James 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 1 John 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? Day 24: Pray Luke 12:33, 18:22. Wealth is sometimes to be given away completely. Be willing to give in abundance. God cannot fill our hands if we are tight fisted. 5

6 Luke 12:33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. Luke 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. Day 25: Pray Psalms 82:4. Declare deliverance from the hand of the wicked who has tied up any of your wealth. Psalms 82:4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked. Day 26: Read Psalms 22, 103, 145; Luke 1:33, 10:9, 11:2 11:17, 12:32, 18:16, 22:30. Ask God for a Kingdom mentality. Day 27: Pray 2 Corinthians 8:2. Declare that out of your poverty you will abound in the riches of liberality. Declare that any trial of affliction will bring you into a greater abundance. 2 Corinthians 8:2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. 6

7 Day 28: Pray Matthew 4:8-11. Do not fall to the devil's trap to operate in haste over wealth. One of his biggest snares is to offer you promises that God has planned for you out of God's timing. Meditate on verse 11. Always remember that Satan watches for an opportune time to trap you. Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. Day 29: Read and pray the book of Haggai. Declare all discouragement, disinterest, disillusionment and deferred hope to break from you. Be willing to build again. Day 30: Pray Zechariah 8:12, 13. From obedience God will strengthen your hands and cause everything your hands touch to increase. Zechariah 8:12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. 13 And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong. 7
