3 We should look for the return of the Lord with longing in our hearts and spend the time we have preparing for that day! 1. How precious is the time we do have? 2. How are we preparing for that day? 3. How strong is our conviction of our Lord s return?

4 1. How precious is the time we do have? (Jeremiah 7)

5 Jeremiah 5:30,31 (NKJV) An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; and my people love to have it so But what will you do in the end?

30 The Rechabites 1. Obeyed an earthly father 2. Jonadab was dead 3. No one was sent to remind them of their responsibilities 4. Jonadab could not reward or punish his followers 5. They were given sever restrictions which demanded great sacrifice The Jews 1. Refused to obey a heavenly Father 2. Yahweh is living 3. Yahweh constantly sent messengers to his people 4. Yahweh could do both 5. Yahweh did not place these restrictions on his people
