1 ONE PRIORITY love god... with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. FAITH: I believe in Jesus and will continually trust Him even when life doesn t make sense. TRANSFORMATION: God s Spirit is transforming my unique and imperfect life into the character of Jesus. TRUTH: My response to God s Word shapes how I see God s story of redemption at work in me and around me. RESTORATION: God designed me to participate with Him in restoring a broken world. COMPASSION: My faith in Christ is revealed by my compassion and care for others. COMMUNITY: I choose to live in the complexities of family and community because God values them. 1

3 FALL AUGUST THE HUNT WISDOM IS WORTH SEARCHING FOR When Jesus was a boy, He grew in wisdom. God wants us to discover wisdom, too. When we make the wise choice, we reflect the character of Jesus to people around us. WEEK ONE: Jesus Grows in Wisdom Luke 2:41-52 What does it mean to be wise? When we see a need and choose to do something about it, people can see the reality of God s love for them. We can trust Him no matter what we have or what situations we might face. We can choose to respond with contentment. When we work together, we reflect what Jesus envisioned for His followers. Our love for one another can point people to Him. God sent His only Son to make us right with Him. We reflect that compassion when we care about others and show them how much God loves them. 6 SUMMER MAY MUD RUN MAKE IT THROUGH THE MAYHEM Throughout history, God has offered strength to help people persevere through difficult situations. Jesus persevered through death itself to make us right with God. We can have perseverance, too, because of what Jesus has done for us.
