7 When fear and opposition comes from every direction, it may be just you and God (When the Amalekites saw David and his army leave town) They made a raid against Ziklag and burned it with fire 2 and took captive all who were in it, but killed no one. 3 And when David and his men came back, they found it burned with fire, and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive. 4 Then David and the people who were with him raised their voices and wept until they had no more strength to weep. 6 And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him (as army commander, it was his fault) But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.

11 One way to meditate on a verse is to try to understand it well enough to reword it Aleph v.1 Live by the Word of God and you won t trash out your life. v.2 Seek God whole heartedly and your life will be blessed v.3 Walk with God in His Word and you won t sin v.4 God commands obedience to His Word v.5 I am too weak in myself to obey. I need God to help

12 v.6 Shame after sinning can be avoided by following God s Word v.7 When I realize God is a righteous Judge, it helps me keep pure thoughts v.8 Lord, I promise to obey Your Word Beth v.9 My life gets cleaner the more consistently I obey His Word

13 v.10 I keep seeking for You, Lord. Don t let me wander. v.11 To keep from sinning, I have memorized Your Word v.12 You are so blessed, Lord. Teach me Your Word v.13 I have taught others what you have taught me

14 v.14 Your Word brings me more joy than my pay check v.15 I promise to meditate on Your Word v.16 I promise to enjoy Your Word and never forget it.
