EPA Claims A Real Live Ancient God Ordered Hazardous Sludge Dumping On Farmland Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. (1 Thessalonians 5:21). J. Waynick Bynum 10/25/ We have to pay attention when a government agency, such as the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), does a historical study which states a real, and powerful, walking, talking person known as the Lord or God, who ate and drank was alive in biblical times. It isepa contention that God ordered the people to bury their shit outside their camp. That being the case, we have to accept the fact that something major is going on in the government that deserves to be closely examined. This need to examine the subject is amplified due to the political ramification of religious fundamentalists who are intent on controlling our lives through government laws. Subjects that need to be examined are why: 1. this Lord chose one Syrian family to build three different major religions, Midianite, Hebrew and Islam? 2. this Lord impregnated the Syrian's sister/wife to create the Hebrew tribe? 3. this Lord promised land to this family that other people already occupied? 4. this Lord had to bribe this Syrian family with the promise of taking borrowed gold and silver from the Egyptians to let themselves be rescued from slavery? 5. this Lord refused to let the rescue of the Hebrews to occur until He kill the Egyptian firstborn? 6. this Lord made those he rescued wander in the wilderness until they died, that is, those he did not kill outright? 7. this Lord only let two people over forty enter the promised land? 8. this Lord disappears and His spirit speaks through prophets? 9. Jesus taught the letter of law this Lord gave through Moses was abrogated by the Holy Ghost? 10. religious leaders resurrected the Hebrew tabernacle as the Christian Church? Let it be clear up front, this is not an anti-religious book, or a Christian book, or a book on EPA sludge program, or a book on the unidentified men known as Lords. The EPA historical study on land application of sludge simply provides the framework for the spirit's request and key to understanding the ancient works. EPA is fond of using certain writing techniques found in the Bible in developing its confusing regulations and scientific reports. Other government entities also use similair tactics in their scientific research papers. This book simply examines the traditional spiritual aspects of mankind as illustrated in the Bible stories. The writer of Chronicles recognized this walking talking Lord had disappeared into the mists of time. 2 Chronicles 15:3, Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law. 1

The only logical reason the EPA scientists decided to try resurrecting that missing Lord for their history of land application of sewage sludge was to cover up the lack of science involved. It seems EPA was promoting the religious righteousness of the program. Even the Old Testament writers could not resurrect that Lord. The EPA offered two Bible verses (Deuteronomy xxiii, 13 and Judges iii, 20) to prove its point. That is a serious clue that someone is playing mind games. No scientist, or writer, would use mixed Roman and Arabic numerals in referring to chapters and verses in Bible. Roman numerals are generally used for the foreword and preface pages of a book with Arabic numerals used in the body of the work. It is a challenge from a very smart person, according to spirit. As we will see shortly, in the first instance, the purpose of the Lord's order was to keep His feet clean as He walked through the Hebrew camp, rather than any sanitary consideration of public health. A second proof offered was God sending a Hebrew assassin to kill a Moabite king. EPA uses the two references to justify a regulation with no legal basis, based on the Bible's format of integrating two conflicting story lines strict laws and a wild west mentality of money and power that trumps the rules of law as outlined in the story of Moses. I, like the EPA, do believe such a group of ancient powerful men existed who were known as Lords. However, I never considered the leaders at EPA would stoop to the current level of unethical and immoral criminal behavior that has been documented over the past twenty years since my first peer reviewed paper on sludge and the laws was published. At the same time it does confirm the government's interest in these ancient men known as Watchers and God. With a ten billion dollar budget, eager researchers and lawyers, I probably should use the politically correct term for EPA's behavior, which is non-compliance with the mandated laws. In our government, a failure of a political entity to enforce Congressional mandate laws does not rise to the criminal level. Even lying at the government level does not constitute criminal activity unless some lower class people (us) are doing the lying to the government. These people EPA put forth as Gods were also called the Watchers by ancient writer called Enoch who claim to be their authorized scribe. In fact, artworks from around the world confirms a number of these people existed as I wrote in a 1983 copyrighted educational work. A very accurate description of a very modern vehicle they used is included in the Book of Ezekiel. It is only when you merge the three separate functional descriptions of its working parts in Ezekiel the visions of God, the living creatures and the cherubim in the proper order by their separate functions that the truth appears. Ezekiel described four helicopters piloted by men. The other option would be that through his Holy Ghost he was able to look twenty-six hundred years into the future and see the real thing in The Biblical lesson of changing names and descriptions to hide the truth was a lesson the EPA learned very well. Scientists who don't read the laws and regulation which states sludge is a solid waste that must be properly disposed, and want research money, bought into EPA's research fraud that if you considered hazardous pathogenic and toxic chemical contaminated to be beneficial biosolids then it 2

was completely safe to put on food crops and sell as an unlabeled lawn fertilizer to unsuspecting customers. Scientists who promote sludge also took a lesson from Biblical writers. They give as much information as possible slanted to support the intent of the EPA research protocol telling how wonderful sludge is and then throw in a short limitation or two somewhere close to the end which invalidates the study. But this method does give themselves a somewhat ethical way out of their scholarly dilemma of being less than truthful in their research conclusions. With no belief in a higher spiritual power, no ethics and no interest in the public's general welfare, humanitarian rules are no longer a consideration. In fact, according to the regulation, we are just another organism of no real consequence. The last time a government came this close to the truths in the Bible, the four bent helicopter rotor blades making up the swastika became the national symbol of Germany. The bent blades indicate motion. Another case of this misunderstood history causing the death of millions of people considered to have no real significance in the schemes of the Lord. It is time for the public to sit up and pay attention. The reason you need to sit up and pay attention is that the elite members of society who did understand the history in the Bible have been misusing and abusing those ancient stories to hurt people and nations for over two thousand years. EPA is continuing the tradition of abusing the public's faith in authority to spread hazardous pathogens and toxic chemical contaminated sewage and sewage sludge on our farmland and even our lawns by simply changing the name to treated biosolids. The water released from sewage treatment plants is treated. What is called biosolids is residue from treated water containing most of the hazardous pathogens and toxic chemicals that entered the treatment plant. This is concentrated toxic sewage sludge. When the sludge is not put in strictly permitted landfills, it is simply dumped on grazing land and food crop production land as a cheap fertilizer. This has caused an explosive increase in food recalls due to sickness and deaths among us organisms. However, not all EPA employees are without ethics or spiritual beliefs. As an example, former EPA microbiologist David L. Lewis was fired for his research revealing exposure to sludge pollutants is a major health risk. He states: In the eyes of the government, the biosolids business is too big to fail. But, it should not be considered too big to change. Sewage sludge is a black box of unknown levels of industrial and municipal pollutants, many of which have known adverse effects on public health and the environment. Municipalities and private industries save countless billions of dollars each year by pumping hazardous chemical and biological wastes into sewer systems for application to public and private lands where they cannot be traced. Government research on biosolids is all about hiding toxic wastes not recycling nutrients.(the Gatekeepers, 2010, 2012 by David L. Lewis and Hallman & Wingate, LLC) To illustrate the problem, EPA gives municipalities two options for sludge disposal in the 503 regulation. It may be disposed of in a strictly permitted sludge only land with certain pollutant 3

restrictions. If there is too much toxic arsenic or chromium in it for a landfill, it can be dumped on cropland or even be sold as a unlabeled lawn fertilizer. Pollutant Limit in Sludge for a Part permitted Surface Disposal site (sludge landfill) Arsenic Chromium Nickel 73 mg/kg (ppm) 600 mg/kg (ppm) 420 mg/kg (ppm) Pollutant Limit in Sludge for Part Crop Land or Lawn Application sites Arsenic 75 mg/kg (ppm) Chromium No restrictions Nickel 420 mg/kg (ppm) There is no doubt that the pollutants in sludge are health hazards. EPA states it is. Sludge/biosolids is a classified pollutant in water. However, EPA redefined the term for the sludge regulation. While EPA only puts numbers on a few pollutants, EPA warns that many more pollutants are in sludge that could cause death, disease, behavioral abnormalities, cancer, genetic mutations, physiological malfunctions (including malfunction in reproduction), or physical deformations. As we find in the Old Testament, we are not considered humans worthy of concern. Now we are just organisms that get in the way of its program and EPA has refused to investigate any human health damages cause by the pollutants contaminating the air, food and water we need to survive in health. As an example, the pollutants listed above are only a small sample of those that may kill you. Most have never been evaluated. More important, EPA readily acknowledges the pollutants could kill you or worse (t) Pollutant is an organic substance, an inorganic substance, a combination of organic and inorganic substances, or a pathogenic organism that, after discharge and upon exposure, ingestion, inhalation, or assimilation into an organism either directly from the environment or indirectly by ingestion through the food chain, could, on the basis of information available to the Administrator of EPA, cause death, disease, behavioral abnormalities, cancer, genetic mutations, physiological malfunctions (including malfunction in reproduction), or physical deformations in either organisms or offspring of the organisms. There are six very good reasons why it was extremely strange to see ancient Bible verses quoted by EPA to justify land application of toxic sewage sludge on agricultural land where food crops were grown. 1. the separation of government and religion is inherit in the Constitution. 2. the biblical verses were out of context and had nothing to do with the hazardous and toxic sewage sludge produced today. 3. municipal sewage farms were being phased out because people were getting sick from the bacterial contaminated crops grown on them and they took up too much valuable municipal owned land. 4

4. scientists had documented that Escherichia (E.) coli and Salmonella in sewage sludge could be infectious for up to 72 weeks after disposal on grazing land. 5. in its wisdom, Congress had determined that sewage sludge was at a minimum a solid waste which must be disposed of in a sanitary landfill and if it contained infectious material such as E. coli, Salmonella, etc., it was/is a hazardous waste. 6. Federal agencies are there to stop lawbreakers, not lie to us, and then create regulations which promote breaking the law and protect the lawbreakers. EPA's Biblical Research On God And Sludge Most people assume that EPA, as a corporate organization (i.e., government agency), is honest. Unfortunately, honest people don't survive very well as EPA regulations are a simple buffer between Congressional mandated laws and corporate welfare, especially municipalities. Using Bible verses in 1979 to justify its actions was just the first step to creating a Federal Sludge Regulation with no basis in Congressional mandate law in In fact, after studying the Bible, EPA took on the persona of the Lord thy God in creating rules combining fantasy, lies and a few facts and then choosing to ignore them at will. In the 1979 EPA study, History of Land Application as a Treatment Alternative," on page 6, the government confirms its knowledge that the Old Testament God was a walking, talking, person when it states, "At least two verses in the Bible refer to land application of waste (Deuteronomy xxiii,13 and Judges iii, 20)." It is clear, the EPA never expected anyone to actually check the validity of the two references and catch the lie. The two references are: Deuteronomy 23:13 And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee: Judges 3:20 And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat. On the surface, these two verses taken out of context actually have nothing in common. However, when a powerful religious or government entity such as EPA becomes God's spokesperson, neither they, or God, can do wrong even when the religious or government laws forbid their actions. The use of these two references illustrates Thomas Paine's ( ) statement, "The Bible is a book that has been read more and examined less than any book that ever existed." That could also be said for EPA regulations. Thomas Paine was a political activist as well as being a 5

critic of the Bible and religion in general. The establishment tried to prevent the publication of his works because the elite did not want his works in the hands of lower classes. In modern terms that is the general public. Unlike the EPA, Paine could not have had a clue as to the nature of the machine described as a vision of God, a living creature and a cherubim with a man in it in the Book of Ezekiel. The U.S. Coast Guard now uses a modern version for air search and rescue missions. While Paine did not believe in the God of the Old Testament, he did believe in the concept of one universal Spiritual God. In Paine's 1793 pamphlet, The Age of Reason, Part 1, he professes his belief in one God. He states, I believe in one God, and no more; and I hope for happiness beyond this life. I believe in the equality of man; and I believe that religious duties consist in doing justice, loving mercy, and endeavoring to make our fellow-creatures happy. Unfortunately, Paine's God is not the same God as that entity EPA quotes in it's History of Land Application as a Treatment Alternative for hazardous and toxic sewage sludge. In fact, there are several men call Lords and one called Lord God written about in the Old Testament. Deuteronomy 23, is written as though God was personally delivering a talk on the laws people must follow to the Syrians (i.e, Hebrews) camped in the desert. In plain English, the Lord declared shit is unclean and He does not want to step in any of it as he walks about the camp. Therefore, it is to be buried outside the camp. He did not authorize it to be put on food crops or your lawn because, as our children are taught, it is unclean. In context it states: Deuteronomy 23:12, Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad: 13, And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee: 14, For the Lord thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee. Originally, the Food and Drug Administration would not agree to the use of the concentrated sludge on crops eaten raw because it was unclean. But FDA did not have the power to stop desecrating our food. I am not sure what its position was on murder in the second reference. The second reference in Judges 3 is by a narrator speaking on the politics of the time and has nothing to do with land application of waste. Unless, you consider that God's claimed order to an assassin to rip a Moabite king's gut open and let the shit fall on the palace floor is a form of land application. That would definitely be unclean. Today you would need a hazmat team to clean it up. On the other hand it might be the EPA's position is that if we get food poisoning from the chemicals and pathogens in 6

sludge used on our food under its policy regulations, then God is probable punishing us for something we did wrong. Therefore, it has to be our fault. However, it is time to quit blaming God for the sickness and death cause by highly paid government elitist who fail to follow ethical or mandated rules. Let's look at that verse in Judges again. It doesn't make any sense out of context, except to reenforce the thought of a God close by sending a message without noting the elicit activities involved. Judges 3:20 And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat. When we dig deeper, the narrator tell us that Jacob's descendants, now called Israelites had disillusioned God several times where sold into captivity. Now God sends a message to kill the king so they can be free. It sounds very much like modern politics in the Middle East. A powerful government backs certain rulers and if they don't toe the line, they are removed, by force if necessary. Or, the powerful government backs some one else to take them over. In the first part of this chapter, Israel was allowed to be taken over by the King of Mesopotamia because they intermarried with descendants of Ham who was cursed by his father Noah. Ham's only sin was to see his naked father drunk and and tell his brothers. For this, he was condemned to be his brothers servant as were his descendants. Not only that, but the Lord promised all Ham's descendants land (Canaan) to Jacob/Israel. In the second part of the chapter God was upset again for the second time. In this chapter alone, He punished the children of Jacob/Israel by causing them to be captives for eight years under the king of Mesopotamia and eighteen years under the King of Moab before God sent His assassin. For those who don't remember their history, Moab was the son of Lot and the incestuous relationship with his virgin daughter and under the protection of the Lord. Deuteronomy 2:9, And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land for a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession After eighteen years the Lord raises up a new Hebrew leader to get them out of captivity because He feels sorry for them. By not very sorry. Judges 3:15, But when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, the Lord raised them up a deliverer, Ehud the son of Gera, a Benjaminite, a man lefthanded: and by him the children of Israel sent a present unto Eglon the king of Moab. 16, But Ehud made him a dagger which had two edges, of a cubit length; and he did gird it under his raiment upon his right thigh. 17, And he brought the present unto Eglon king of Moab: and Eglon was a very fat man. 18, And when he had made an end to offer the present, he sent away the people that bare 7

the present. 19, But he himself turned again from the quarries that were by Gilgal, and said, I have a secret errand unto thee, O king: who said, Keep silence. And all that stood by him went out from him. 20, And Ehud came unto him; and he was sitting in a summer parlour, which he had for himself alone. And Ehud said, I have a message from God unto thee. And he arose out of his seat. 21, And Ehud put forth his left hand, and took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly: 22, And the haft also went in after the blade; and the fat closed upon the blade, so that he could not draw the dagger out of his belly; and the dirt came out. 23, Then Ehud went forth through the porch, and shut the doors of the parlour upon him, and locked them. 29, And they slew of Moab at that time about ten thousand men, all lusty, and all men of valour; and there escaped not a man. 30, So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest fourscore years. It is evident that EPA's scientists who came up with these Bible references that some entities did walk this earth in ancient time with a power of destruction so great people thought they had to be the Lords where really in trouble. The term Lord had no real religious significance. It was/is a term used by an inferior ranking person for those considered to be of a higher station in life. An example is Sarah addressing her husband Abraham as my Lord. It is clear that if you had the power to order someone killed, there was little doubt that you were a Lord. On the other hand, that Lord did not hang around after the Hebrews came out of the wilderness. After that the Lord's Spirit message is sent to the mind of the prophet through his Holy Spirit, or Holy Ghost and must be interpreted. This sacred spirit was separate from, and in addition to, the spirit or ghost the ancients gave up when they died. The next story indicates a message from God through the Holy Spirit may not be from God. According to this story, another incestuous son of Lot and his other virgin daughter was about to go to war with the Hebrews to reclaim land that had been taken earlier. The unusual aspect of this story is that the Lord's spirit came upon Jephthah, the son of a harlot. Jephthah requested the Lord's help to defeat Ammon. What is even more unusual is that Jephthah vows to sacrifice to the Lord the first person to greet him when he returns home if the Lord helps him defeat the children of Ammon. The Lord helps Jephthah defeat Ammon and his vow forces to him to sacrifice his daughter. 8

It is hard to believe a religious historian would include this story, unless he was trying to show why the Lord allowed, or caused, so many Israelites to be killed and why they were captives so many times and for such a long time. According to this story, it happen some three hundred years after the Hebrews entered the promised land. Somewhere during that time, the Hebrews had taken some of the Ammonites land against the Lord's wishes. However, the time frame and the genealogy do not match. Deuteronomy 2:19, And when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon any possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession. Judge 11:12, And Jephthah sent messengers unto the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What hast thou to do with me, that thou art come against me to fight in my land? 13, And the king of the children of Ammon answered unto the messengers of Jephthah, Because Israel took away my land, when they came up out of Egypt, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and unto Jordan: now therefore restore those lands again peaceably. It gets more interesting when Jephthah claims the kings of Moab had never warred with the Hebrews. Not only that, after 300 years it was a little late to try an recover the land. 25, And now art thou any thing better than Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab? did he ever strive against Israel, or did he ever fight against them, 26, While Israel dwelt in Heshbon and her towns, and in Aroer and her towns, and in all the cities that be along by the coasts of Arnon, three hundred years? why therefore did ye not recover them within that time? From a historical point of view, as a leader for the Lord, you would expect to find that Jephthah is a very upright man with a good background. According to the legend, Jephthah was the son of Gilead, the great-grandson of Joseph who has supposedly died well over four hundred years earlier. That part is good, until we discover he was the son of a harlot and kicked out of his home. Apparently, Jephthah became a renown outlaw leader with a large following. Numbers 26:29, Of the sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites: and Machir begat Gilead: of Gilead come the family of the Gileadites. Judges 11:1, Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah. 2, And Gilead's wife bare him sons; and his wife's sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father's house; for thou art the son of a strange woman. 3, Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were 9

gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him. 5, And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob: It took some tall talking to get Jephthah to return to Gilead. The leaders had to agree that if he returned and successfully ended the war with Ammon, he would be made head of the tribe.. Judges 11:6 And they said unto Jephthah, Come, and be our captain, that we may fight with the children of Ammon. 7 And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, Did not ye hate me, and expel me out of my father's house? and why are ye come unto me now when ye are in distress? 8 And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Therefore we turn again to thee now, that thou mayest go with us, and fight against the children of Ammon, and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead. 9 And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, If ye bring me home again to fight against the children of Ammon, and the Lord deliver them before me, shall I be your head? 10 And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, The Lord be witness between us, if we do not so according to thy words. 11 Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and captain over them: and Jephthah uttered all his words before the Lord in Mizpeh. It is claimed that the spirit of the Lord entered Jephthah and he vowed if he was successfully, he would sacrifice whatever came out of the door of his house when he returned. However, it will become very clear this was a false spirit entering Jephthah's mind, as the Lord prohibited the offering of any Israelite as a burnt offering. Judges 11:29, Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over unto the children of Ammon. 30, And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the Lord, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands, 31, Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the Lord's, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering. 32, So Jephthah passed over unto the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the Lord delivered them into his hands. 10

And so it was, Jephthah returned home to find his only child running out to meet him. The writers knew we would question what Jephthah was thinking when he made a vow to give one of his household as a burnt offering to the Lord. What is interesting is that the writers say the women of Israel gather once a year to remember this burnt offering sacrifice to the Lord. Judge 11:34, And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter. 35, And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the Lord, and I cannot go back. 36, And she said unto him, My father, if thou hast opened thy mouth unto the Lord, do to me according to that which hath proceeded out of thy mouth; forasmuch as the Lord hath taken vengeance for thee of thine enemies, even of the children of Ammon. 37, And she said unto her father, Let this thing be done for me: let me alone two months, that I may go up and down upon the mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my fellows. 38, And he said, Go. And he sent her away for two months: and she went with her companions, and bewailed her virginity upon the mountains. 39, And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel 40, That the daughters of Israel went yearly to lament the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite four days in a year. It does get more interesting when the children Ephraim, the brother of Manasseh, threaten to burn down Jephthah's house because he didn't invite them to the war. It makes more sense if they wanted to burn down his house because he immorally, and illegally, offered his daughter as a burnt offering to the Lord. The daughter could not be a burnt offering to the Lord as He prohibited the sacrifice of Israelite children to the Canaanite God Molech. Deuteronomy 18:10, There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Deuteronomy 12:31, Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. 11

Leviticus 18:21, And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD. Leviticus 20:2, Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones. 3, And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. 4, And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not: 5, Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people. It is obvious from the laws that the men of Ephraim did not threaten to burn down Jephthah's house because he didn't call on them to help in the war. But the writer would have us believe that that is true. Judge 12:1, And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? we will burn thine house upon thee with fire. Jephthah then went to war against the children of Ephraim and killed forty two thousand of them. Judges 12:4, Then Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim, because they said, Ye Gileadites are fugitives of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among the Manassites. 5, And the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan before the Ephraimites: and it was so, that when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of Gilead said unto him, Art thou an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay; 6, Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand. 7, And Jephthah judged Israel six years. Then died Jephthah the Gileadite, and was buried in one of the cities of Gilead. 12

The children of Israel screwed up again and the Lord sold them to the king of Canaan for twenty years. During this time of captivity, a woman named Deborah judged Israel. She could see into the future, but darkly. Judges 4:1, And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the Lord, when Ehud was dead. 2, And the Lord sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host was Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles. 3, And the children of Israel cried unto the Lord: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel. 4, And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time. It is clear she was a very powerful woman with the full respect of the Israelites. She could command the military with the words of the Lord. Judges 4:6, And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the Lord God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun? 7, And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand. However, as a commander, the army wanted Deborah with them. They wanted to make sure she believed what she was telling them. If only that happened today, less people would be dead. But, she agreed to go with them. However, she told Barak, the army commanded, the honor of killing Sisera, the opposing general, would not be his because the Lord would sell him into the hands of a woman. Judge 4:8, And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go. 9, And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the Lord shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh. 10, And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him. The writer, or editors, fail to fact check part of the story. The story claims that Heber the Kenite (a metal smith) is one of the children of Hobab, the father-in-law of Moses. Actually, Hobab was Moses' brother-in-law. Jethro was the original name of Moses' father-in-law, which some editor changed to Raguel. 13

Exodus 3:1, Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb Numbers 10:29, And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel. Heber is the one who tells Sisera of the movement of Barak's army. However, this is not a problem. There is a twist to the story coming up. Judges 4:11, Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plaintof Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh. 12, And they shewed Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to mount Tabor. Barak and his army handily defeated Sisera. In fact, according to the story, it was a slaughter. Sisera was so scared he left his chariot and fled on foot. Judges 4:13, And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles unto the river of Kishon. 14, And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the Lord hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the Lord gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him. 15, And the Lord discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet. 16, But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left. Unfortunately for him, Sisera fled to the tent of Heber. Heber's wife Jael welcomed Sisera, gave him something to drink and a place to sleep. In a twist of fate, she also put a metal nail through his head as Sisera slept. With that action by Jael, the saga of Deborah the prophetess came to an end. Judge 4:17, Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite. 14

18, And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a mantle. 19, And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him. 20, Again he said unto her, Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man doth come and enquire of thee, and say, Is there any man here? that thou shalt say, No. 21, Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died. 22, And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest. And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the nail was in his temples. In the four stories we examined, the first appears to represent the presence of a real person the people thought was God. The reality is that to them he was a God. This has always been a reality when advanced white people enter primitive isolated native cultures. In the second story, we only have the word of the narrator that the Lord sent an assassin with a message to the Moabite. The third story shows that a worshiper of the Lord, who did not know the laws of Moses, vowed to sacrifice his daughter as a burnt offering in the house of the Lord so he could be the leader, which action was prohibited. It show that a strong belief that is wrong, used for the right reason, can create havoc. A warning that people and spirits must be tested. The third story shows that a highly spiritual person may see into the future, but not always clearly. 15
