1 Pastor Scott Velain Genesis Chapter 6c The Giant Divide As we ventured into the sixth chapter of the book of Genesis last week, we spoke about some very amazing, and the very eye-opening things. One of the things that I hope we succeeded in doing, was to confirm the accuracy of what our Scripture tells us. Often times we see things written within the Scripture, and because they seem foreign to us, we simply make excuses for them, or we put them up on a shelf in the back of our minds, or we just ignore them altogether. But as we walk through the 66 books that make up our Scriptures, I think it s safe to say, that we will undoubtedly come across more Scriptures like these, that may seem foreign to us. But nevertheless, what we will find written within our Scriptures can indeed be trusted to be true and accurate. Last week we learned the Hebrew words for sons of God, and mighty men, and Nephilim. And we realized that all of these Hebrew words point to the fact that just as Genesis chapter 6 verse four tells us There were Giants on the earth in those days. And we even took a look at some historical documentation, as well as a documentary or two that clearly showed us that the bones of Giants have been excavated on every continent on the earth. We also spoke a little bit about the Sethite view that many of today s denominational charters of men wrongly preach and teach about when presenting their modern-day version of Christianity. We also spoke about the fact that these fallen Angels that came down and mated with human women are noted all throughout the Bible, in both the old and new Testaments. We also know that today s modern day denominational Sethite view of Genesis chapter 6 was not held by the early church. The assembly, or the church in our Messiah s day knew full well that these sons of God mentioned in Genesis chapter 6, were indeed fallen Angels, and there was no doubt in their minds about what is clearly written in the Scripture. This newfound denominational Sethite view of Genesis chapter 6 did not come into play until early in the fourth century A.D. This is a view that many of today s denominational charters of men and their so-called early church fathers had put together in their own minds and sold to the public who bought it lock stock and barrel. And this skewed view of Genesis chapter 6 is what many denominational charters of men still preach and teach today, even though we can clearly see that this is not in any way what the Scripture has to say about Genesis chapter 6. We also know that the original sons of God are mentioned in the book of Job in several 1

2 places, and because the book of Job is one of the oldest books in the Bible We have a very clear biblical view concerning who the original sons of God were. We also know that no man is considered equal with the Angels, nor is he able to be considered a son of God unless he has accepted the only begotten son of God who is, Yahshua Hamashiach, as his Savior, because it is only through faith in our Messiah that we have the right to be called sons of God. And so, the Scripture itself bears witness to the fact that the sons of God found in Genesis chapter 6 are indeed fallen Angels just as were told in the book of Jude chapter 1 verses six and seven, and second Peter chapter 2 verses four and five, and first Peter chapter 3 verses 19 and 20. And so, I say all of that just so that you will know, that if you missed the beginning of our first few studies into the book of Genesis You ve missed more than just a little information. We know that it was because Noah was perfect in his generations, and had found grace in the eyes of our father in heaven, that Noah was chosen to regenerate mankind upon the earth. And I want to just take a moment to go back and review Genesis 6:7: Gen 6:7 So the LORD said, "I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them." One of the things that should be made note of here is the fact that our father in heaven was not only grieved by the evil that was in men s hearts, but that he also intended to blot out the animals and creeping things, and the birds of the heaven, because he became sorry that he made them as well. The question we need to ask is why would he be sorry that he made the animals and creeping things and the birds of the heaven? There seems to be no reason that he would be sorry that he created the animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens And yet he is. Why? Could it be that these fallen Angels did not only infiltrate the bloodline of mankind, but also animal kind itself? These fallen Angels also known as the Nephilim were bound in chains in gloomy darkness under the earth for what they had done. But their offspring who are known as the Rephaim would have nowhere to go once their flesh and bone bodies had gone back to the earth. It is believed by many biblical scholars that these disembodied spirits are indeed what we know as demons today. The Nephilim are noted to be the sons of Anak in Numbers 13:33: Num 13:33 And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim), and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them." The offspring of these Nephilim became Giants that were widely scattered throughout the land of Canaan, but were also known by different local names like Rephaim, Zuzim, Emim, and 2

3 Anakim. Deuteronomy 2:20-22: Deu 2:20 (It is also counted as a land of Rephaim. Rephaim formerly lived there but the Ammonites call them Zamzummim Deu 2:21 a people great and many, and tall as the Anakim; but the LORD destroyed them before the Ammonites, and they dispossessed them and settled in their place, Deu 2:22 as he did for the people of Esau, who live in Seir, when he destroyed the Horites before them and they dispossessed them and settled in their place even to this day. In the next chapter of Deuteronomy, we find that King Og of Bashan, was one of the last remnants of the Raphaim, and that his bed was 13 feet long and 6 feet wide. Deuteronomy 3:11: Deu 3:11 (For only Og the king of Bashan was left of the remnant of the Rephaim. Behold, his bed was a bed of iron. Is it not in Rabbah of the Ammonites? Nine cubits was its length, and four cubits its breadth, according to the common cubit.) It should also be known that the Egyptians wrote about Giants who lived in the land of Canaan, and so did other nations in that area. And so did the Native American Indians But we ll get to that later on as we move forward. The point is, that there should be no doubt in anyone s mind that the people of the ancient world accepted the presence of giants as part of history, and so once again we see no conflict between what history and the Scripture says But there is a major conflict between what much of today s modern-day version of Christianity says, and what the Scripture and history, and archaeology all say is the truth. And so, it should not surprise us that these Raphaim Giants may have been manipulating the bloodline of the DNA of God s animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens along with man to create for themselves a new vessel to take the place of their flesh and bone bodies after they died. In order for these Raphaim to return They would need to find a vessel, or a body without a spirit that they could occupy. And this is of course why we see our Messiah constantly casting out demons from people. The spirits of these demons have nowhere to go, and no bodies of their own, and so they are constantly fighting to take possession of a human body whenever possible. The only problem with that is that the human body already has a spirit that was given to it by God himself, and these spirits know that they cannot take control of our human bodies for very long. What is troubling in all of these things that we are now seeing and hearing in our Scriptures, is what Dr. Thomas Horn has already stated in the Gensix documentary that we look at last week. According to Dr. Thomas Horn, there are government officials, and those within the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, also known as DARPA that are trying to track down as many of these giant skeletons as they can so that they can extract enough D&A from them to 3

4 clone these Raphaim, and to bring them back so that they can turn them into super soldiers. And so, these demons themselves are whispering things in the ears of mankind, and promising them this new breed of super soldier that they can use instead of sending men into battle. But you and I both know that if this happens Men will once again be warring against these giant Raphaim just like he was in Moses time. The only problem with that is God himself led the Israelites into battle against these Giants in Moses time. If man brings back these things into the world, God will not be leading man into battle against them this time. And so, within the confines of Genesis chapter 6, we find not only several amazing biblical truths, but also much to speculate about concerning the future of mankind and exactly what our Messiah meant when he said that the end times would be like the days of Noah. Listen to what our Messiah tells us in Luke 21:25-26: Luk 21:25 "And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, Luk 21:26 people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. When man starts cloning what God has removed from the earth for our own good, do we not think that the powers of the heavens will not be shaken? RAISING THE WOOLLY MAMMOTH: I find it interesting that our last two fellowship meetings had to do with this study into what is known as trans-humanism. Trans-humanism is the joining of the flesh and what is natural, with computers and computer chips and things that are unnatural. If man can resurrect a Woolly Mammoth from prehistoric times What s to stop man from resurrecting a Raphaim giant, and manipulating s brain with computer software, and computer chips so that it obeys whatever it s told to do? Could this be the plan of these rulers, and these authorities, and these cosmic powers over this 4

5 present darkness, and these spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places that Paul speaks about in Ephesians chapter 6 to whisper these promises into the ears of men to give men this kind of technology to teach them how to bring back the dead bodies of the Raphaim that our father destroyed from the face of the earth so that these demons could once again have a soulless body to occupy, and to rule and to reign the earth, and to once again infiltrate the bloodline of mankind, and the animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens? And if these demons were once again allowed to occupy their giant bodies How long do you think men would be able to survive this kind of onslaught against him from these beings who are not only hundreds of times stronger than he is, but thousands of times more intelligent? Matthew 24:21-22: Mat 24:21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. Mat 24:22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. It s difficult to believe that there will be such a great tribulation, that man has never seen it before. We ve lived through these Raphaim Giants. We ve lived through Genghis Khan. We ve lived through Paul pot, and Stalin, and Hitler, and the Holocaust. We ve seen hurricanes and tsunamis. The whole continent of Japan moved several feet. What kind of tribulation could come upon man that he has not seen before, and never will see again? And how does this play into the fact that our Messiah says that these days will be like the days of Noah? I want us to notice what our Messiah tells us in Matthew chapter 24 verse 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be cut short. The only good scenario that can be seen is found in Matthew chapter 24 verse 27, where we re told that as the lightning comes from the East and shines as far as the West, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Matthew 24:28-31: Mat 24:28 Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather. Mat 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Mat 24:30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Mat 24:31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. But before this day can come, the end of days will become like the days of Noah. Let s turn back to Genesis chapter 6, and just to make sure that we understand what things were like in the days of Noah Genesis : 5

6 Gen 6:11 Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence. Gen 6:12 And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. Gen 6:13 And God said to Noah, "I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Notice in verse 12 it tells us that all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. The Hebrew word for corrupted is Shaw-khath, which means to decay, or to cast off, or to spoil, or to ruin, or to pervert. What s important to also understand is that we know through archaeology, and historical documentation that men used to bow down and worship these Raphaim Giants. They used to serve these Giants until the Giants turned on mankind and began devouring them. And by devouring them I mean eating them. There are hieroglyphs, and legends, and folklore, and historical documentation, that tells us that these Raphaim Giants devoured everything in the land because of their size, and when they couldn t find anything else for food, they turn to mankind and began devouring them. Many of the tribes of the American Indians found in the United States can tell you about the Giants that used to war against them. Many of these Giants had six fingers and six toes, and were said to have two rows of teeth. In the older Western movies, you would always see the Indians raising up their hand whenever they met each other. A lot of the times it was followed by the Hollywood invented word HOW, which was supposed to mean greetings. The truth is that the Indians used to raise their hand up in order to show that they were not part of these demonically inspired Raphaim Giants who had six fingers. They knew that if you had six fingers, you are not to be trusted. 7 We talked a little bit last week about why the Sethite view of Genesis 6 has no viable ground to stand on, but before we move forward I d like to revisit some of the reasons why the Sethite view is so flawed, and utterly wrong in its interpretation. As you may remember the Sethite view held by the fourth century so called early church fathers, is a view of Genesis chapter 6 that claims that the bloodline of Cain, who killed his brother Abel was the evil bloodline that Genesis chapter 6 talks about what it says that the sons of God saw the daughters of man were attractive and took as their wives any they chose. This skewed Sethite view of Genesis chapter 6 proclaims that the line of Cain were the sons of God. However This nonsense was not even heard of until the early fourth century, when these so-called early church fathers decided that they were going to change the biblical narrative because it made them feel uncomfortable. And I would submit to you my friends that there are even deeper reasons as to why we have been taught these kinds of deceptive doctrines. And I think that anyone who does their due diligence in studying this topic will agree with me when I say, there is more to this story than meets the eye. But my main mission here today is to proclaim to you the truth of what the Scripture says. Once again there are several reasons why the Sethite view of Genesis chapter 6 utterly falls on its face according to both scriptural and historical Not to mention archaeological evidence. Number one as we ve already shown, the Scripture itself refutes the idea that the line of Cain were the sons of God, and that the line of Seth were the good guys. Nowhere are we told in the Scripture that the line of Cain were ever called the sons of God. And if the line of Cain were truly the sons of God, and the line of Seth were the good guys Then how do you explain the fact that the line of Seth along with the bloodline of Cain were all done away with in the flood? Genesis chapter 6 verse 12 tells us that God saw the earth and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. Genesis chapter 6 verse 17 tells us that God said and I quote I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven. Everything that is on the earth shall die. Note that if the bloodline of Cain were the sons of God that sinned against man, and the bloodline of Seth were the good guys, then there would have been a war between Cain and Seth. And God would ve surely taken the side of Seth if this were the case. But nowhere in the Scripture are we told such nonsense. Genesis chapter 6 verse five says that God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. He did not say that the wickedness of Cain was great in the earth He said that the wickedness of man was great in the earth. And let there be no doubt about it my friends, our father annihilated both the lines of Cain, and Seth in the flood. The only one he took interest in saving was Noah because in Genesis chapter 6 verse nine we can clearly see that the generations of Noah were perfect. The Hebrew word for perfect is tamiym, and it means complete, whole, unimpaired, wholesome or innocent. So, there should be no doubt as to why our father in 7

8 heaven chose Noah and his family to regenerate the earth. Another scriptural fact that throws the Sethite view to the ground is the unnatural offspring of the Nephilim (also known as the sons of God ). These men were clearly Giants among normal mankind, and we know through the Scripture that they set themselves up as Kings among men. Let s turn to Joshua 12:4-5: Jos 12:4 and Og king of Bashan, one of the remnant of the Rephaim, who lived at Ashtaroth and at Edrei Jos 12:5 and ruled over Mount Hermon and Salecah and all Bashan to the boundary of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and over half of Gilead to the boundary of Sihon king of Heshbon. And once again we see this King Og was a remnant of the Rephaim who were the offspring of the Nephilim. Something else to make note of here in Joshua chapter 12 verses five is that this King Og ruled over Mount Hermon. According to the book of Enoch, this is where these fallen Angels first came to earth and set up shop. And so, it seems fitting that this King Og who was a remnant of the Rephaim ruled over not only Mount Hermon, but the surrounding territory as well. The offspring of these fallen Angels had every intention of subduing mankind and setting themselves up with their own King who was and is Satan himself. And to this very day, even though these giant Rephaim no longer physically walk the earth They do still roam the earth in spirit, and it is these evil spirits that have become what we know today as demons. The New Testament itself throws the Sethite view to the ground is well, when we take a look at Scripture like Jude chapter 6 verse seven, or first Peter chapter 3 verses 19 to 24 second Peter chapter 2 verses four through five. And so over, and over, and over again we see more holes than a block of Swiss cheese when it comes to these so-called early church fathers and their Sethite view of Genesis chapter 6. Another thing that I find very interesting is that when we study the Scripture, we find that Joshua did not annihilate all of these Rephaim nations like he was supposed to, and you know where these Rephaim used to live? The Golan Heights, Hebron, and the Gaza Strip. Today these are all Palestinian controlled areas of Israel, and this is exactly where Joshua failed to annihilate these Rephaim Giants. I find that very interesting. Goliath himself was one of these Rephaim Giants. When David went out against Goliath it s important to make note of how many stones David picked up. David picked up five stones to go out against Goliath. Why five stones? Because Goliath had four brothers. And when David killed Goliath, he knew that his four brothers would come. David did not pick up five stones because he had lack of faith. David picked up five stones because he knew there were five Giants that he needed to erase from the Philistines. And just so that we can get a little bit more comfortable about the fact that Giants were indeed written about within our Scripture I d like us 8

9 to turn to second Samuel 21:16-22: 2Sa 21:16 And Ishbi-benob, one of the descendants of the giants, whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of bronze, and who was armed with a new sword, thought to kill David. 2Sa 21:17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah came to his aid and attacked the Philistine and killed him. Then David's men swore to him, "You shall no longer go out with us to battle, lest you quench the lamp of Israel." 2Sa 21:18 After this there was again war with the Philistines at Gob. Then Sibbecai the Hushathite struck down Saph, who was one of the descendants of the giants. 2Sa 21:19 And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, the Bethlehemite, struck down Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver's beam. 2Sa 21:20 And there was again war at Gath, where there was a man of great stature, who had six fingers on each hand, and six toes on each foot, twenty-four in number, and he also was descended from the giants. 2Sa 21:21 And when he taunted Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimei, David's brother, struck him down. 2Sa 21:22 These four were descended from the giants in Gath, and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants. And we can clearly see another scriptural record of this in first Chronicles 20:4-8: 1Ch 20:4 And after this there arose war with the Philistines at Gezer. Then Sibbecai the Hushathite struck down Sippai, who was one of the descendants of the giants, and the Philistines were subdued. 1Ch 20:5 And there was again war with the Philistines, and Elhanan the son of Jair struck down Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver's beam. 1Ch 20:6 And there was again war at Gath, where there was a man of great stature, who had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot, twenty-four in number, and he also was descended from the giants. 1Ch 20:7 And when he taunted Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea, David's brother, struck him down. 1Ch 20:8 These were descended from the giants in Gath, and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants. So, when I hear someone laughing or mocking the idea that Giants were on the earth according to the Bible I know that I m speaking to a person who has one of two problems. Number one they are simply unstudied and ignorant of what the Scripture says. Or number two, they don t believe what the Scripture says. Either way This is not a person that I would want teaching my children anything pertaining to the Scripture. And once again I find it very interesting that our Messiah tells us that in the end times, it will be 9

10 as in the days of Noah. And we know back in the days of Noah there were Giants roaming the land, not to mention what we re told in Daniel chapter 2 concerning the end times. And so, I d like us to turn to Daniel 2:43: Dan 2:43 As you saw the iron mixed with soft clay, so they will mix with one another in marriage, but they will not hold together, just as iron does not mix with clay. Notice what Daniel says here in verse 43. He says and I quote they will mix with one another in marriage, but they will not hold together, just as iron does not mix with clay. So obviously the word they pertains to something else other than mankind. What is man made out of? Man is made from the clay of the earth. Our father is the Potter We are the clay. So, if they are going to mix with one another in marriage But they will not hold together just as iron does not mix with clay This tells us very clearly that whatever is mixing in marriage with man is not a man. Mankind will mix with something unnatural in marriage, but the marriage will not hold together because iron does not mix with clay. So, the question then becomes what is the iron? Could it be the return of the Nephilim Giants to the earth through cloning, or some kind of DNA manipulation? Or could it be some robot that looks human? I find it very interesting that our brother James brought this up in his study that he shared with us during Fellowship last week concerning trans-humanism, and what men are now doing to weld man with machine. I also find it very interesting that there are now robot sex dolls on the market for sale right now in our time. And not only are there robot sex dolls on sale right now here in our time There are also people that are marrying these robot sex dolls. Is this what Daniel chapter 2 verse 43 is talking about We don t know But I suspect that it may be one or both of these scenarios. Man, right now is already expecting an artificial intelligence god to arrive on the scene. In fact, There is already a church established to worship this newfound artificial intelligence god. 11 Worship: So they will mix with one another in marriage, but they will not hold together, just as iron does not mix with clay. Will the disembodied spirits of the Rephaim be able to make their way into man s new scientific child called artificial intelligence? Or will man himself clone the bodies of dead Rephaim and install this artificial intelligence within them Thinking that man is still in control? Or will the Rephaim find a way to assist man in pulling back the veil between our dimension and there s through things like CERN and it s Large Hadron Collider We simply do not know. But what we do know Is that we can count on our Scriptures to speak the truth to us. And those of us who are studying to show ourselves approved will not be so easily fooled by any one of these strategic demonically inspired plans to fool even the very elect. Greater is he that is in us, than he who is in the world. Next week as we continue our study into the sixth chapter of the book of Genesis, we will answer the question did God create evil?
